Room clean and spacious, staff was friendly. Food was alright - typical buffet standard. The view from hotel was amazing from the lobby.
Room was a little hot, and view was not as great as we booked the mountain view room. We had to walk quite a distant from the lobby to the lift, and from the lift to our room.

This is a large hotel that is right on the shore of Lake Toya. There are beautiful views of the lake and Mount Yōtei from the breakfast room and lounge area when the weather is clear. The bedroom was a decent size for a Japanese hotel. The breakfast buffet was good - even though there were a lot of people at the hotel, the organisation of the buffet was very good. You can pick a time for a breakfast sitting. There's a large selection of Asian and Western food options. There are separate serving stations for each type of food and many coffee machines at different locations around the breakfast room. Even with a lot of guests it's easy to get your breakfast without a long wait. Other hotels should learn how to serve breakfast efficiently from this hotel. Even though the hotel was busy with large tour groups the room I was allocated was very quiet. There is a lovely walk around the shore of Lake Toya with sculptures. Even with the large tour groups arriving you can find peace and quiet by just walking away from the hotels for a few minutes.
The temperature control in the room was very bad. There were only four settings for the room temperature - off, low, medium and high. With the setting at off the room was too cold. With the setting set to low the room was too hot. There was no way to set a comfortable temperature. The hotel seems to cater to a lot of large Asian bus tour groups. In the morning and afternoon the reception area can get very busy with tour groups arriving and leaving. Between these times the hotel is very peaceful.

We booked and stayed in this hotel in the last day of our 10 day trip in Hokkaido. There is a direct bus running between the Sapporo Station directly to the hotel, which needs prior booking and costs 1100 yen per trip. It took two hrs and thirty minutes to the hotel. The hotel is very big and we booked in a Japanese style and slept in tatami at night. We can see the Lake Toya, which looks beautiful in the early morning with snow mountains surrounding. The booking included a buffet dinner. The food is fresh and delicious. We wore pyjamas after hot bath. There was fireworks in front of the hotel at 8:30PM, although it last about 8 minutes.

Relatively big property with 3 buildings. There are several floors that connect the buildings (which is important at the onsen are at the top floor of one, and bottom floor of another. Room has beautiful view of the lake, with an occasional bird visitor to seek shelter from the wind and snow. Hotel has a beautiful library and piano for guests to chill, read, or play. Our room could fit 4 futons comfortably, provided we keep our luggage near the entrance area.
Not a lot of options for a late dinner in the area during winter. Many places were closed, so we had to walk much further to find food.

Love the views of the lake and mountains from the room. The onsen was also excellent, with very good washing facilities, shampoo, hairdryer etc. 7-eleven was right across the road.
Room is a bit cramped. Breakfast and dinner can be crowded with tour groups. Food was okay, not fantastic. Laundry room only had 1 machine and was very very far away. By the time I trekked there and find that the machine is in use and walk back, would take 15min. Not well signed either.

The setting on the beautiful lakeside location was stunning, as was the view from the ‘infinity’ onsen on the top floor. The zen garden onsen in the basement was almost equally beautiful! Good planning on the part of the hotel to rotate the men’s and women’s access. There was a huge choice of breakfast and evening buffets, and I wouldn’t have enjoyed the food as much as I did, without the invaluable help of Kim, the Korean waiter. All the descriptions of the food were in Japanese only, and as I am allergic to shell fish, of which there is an abundance in this area, this could have been problematic. Kim was knowledgeable about the ingredients and pointed out all my options with a great sense of humour, 2 nights running. Our bedroom was beautiful, lots of room, comfy beds and pillows and a great view. Perfect for watching the nightly fireworks.
The eating area appeared very busy at times, sometimes with coach parties, despite having staggered sittings. However, it probably looked worse than in reality because everyone managed to get a great selection of food, and you can understand why such a great hotel is so popular. The restaurant staff were excellent at clearing tables and quick to allocate seating. It is a pity that the hotel provides such a great selection of food options but doesn’t provide multi language explanations. I overheard many similar complaints.

Nice lake view from room, nearby has eateries, as well as an illuminated tunnel lighting 5 min walk away and a 15 min walk to Wakasaimo Honpo Lake Toya where we could not resist the ice cream and hot deep fried white bean paste "Imo Ten". Well-organised breakfast and dinner buffet though crowded. - good variety and the tea soup rice was a comfort food on a cold winter. Received a special seafood hotpot on the 2nd night of dinner buffet - available to those on 2nd nite stay, i guess. To get here, we just missed our last bus around 3.30 pm on a winter day at Toya Station. Gotta took a cab which costs around 3500 yen = 35 Sgd ++.
The hotel is huge and we were given an almost last room in the furthest wing and at the 2nd level. Not very appropriate for ladies guests. Lighting in room is indeed dim.

Very nice hotel. Amazing onsen with spacious outdoor section where you can sit or lay with a view of the gorgeous lake and mountains. The onsen part was amazing and we want to come back again for longer period. Breakfast was good, excellent food and good choice, but having dish names in English would have helped (there were none).
Wi-Fi was breaking sometimes so if you need to have a video call, it’s not good enough. Should be ok for a voice calls though. The room is a bit old and the lock was difficult to open. The view was expected from photos on booking (you can see it on my photo as well).

This hotel is great value for money (we stayed at the end of Aug during summer)! It is located right by the lake with direct access to the lake shore where you can view the fireworks. The room was very spacious by Japan's standards. The roof top onsen has a great view. The breakfast spread is amazing with japanese, chinese and western options. Free parking is available right next to the property. There is a drug store, convenience store and.any restaurants within walking distance from the hotel. The lobby, cafe and library areas are modern & comfortable. I would highly recommend this hotel.
The only downside is that this is a very large hotel so the onsen facility and the breakfast room get extremely crowded. The massage chairs provided within the onsen facility is very worn out & the area in which it is located is very warm in summer.
