Some pros: - The property is located at the edge of the of shore and offers fantastic views of Lake Toya (all rooms are facing the lake) - The hotel offers a complimentary shuttle to/from JR Sapporo Station, or you may wish to take their shuttle to/from New Chitose Airport for 1000 yen. The shuttle must be booked in advance - The check-in/check-out experiences went very smoothly and although the staff are not 100% fluent in English, they tried their best to accommodate (please remember English is likely not their first language). My friend was seated in the lounge area while I checked in and a staff brought over a welcome drink and snack for us to enjoy - We booked a twin room with shower, and it was very spacious and clean. There was a seating area by the window with a chaise - The property had three onsens - two on the 9th floor and one on the 2nd floor. The onsens on the 9th floor includes an open-air bath with different designs and views; they are switched every day between genders so even if you stay one night, you will be able to try them both. The best time to go would be during the peak mealtimes or later in the evening - The breakfast and dinner buffets were great and had a lot of variety. The restaurant offers floor-to-ceiling windows. - We paid an extra 55,000 yen per person for a kaiseki dinner the second night and it was amazing. The food was delicious, and you get to try some local and seasonal ingredients in a different way - While there are no vending machines on the property, you can pick up snacks and beverages in the gift shop, or the 7-Eleven across the street. There are also a few grocery stores in the area - There is a path in between the shore and the hotel that connects all the resorts in the area. There are outdoor foot baths for anyone staying in the area

Some cons: - The wi-fi was spotty. I don't think the network was designed to support all of the guests being connected at once. It was better during the day when guests were out on excursions or have checked out. - The description of the shuttle pick-up point at JR Sapporo station was vague. It would be great if they have a designated kiosk or corner for guests to meet-up prior to boarding the bus. - It does not seem like they rotate the breakfast menus daily (there may be slight variations, but it is largely the same).

The hotel room and lobby had an amazing view of the lake and Mount Yotei, I could not bear to leave. We booked the club room which came with a private onsen, the room was clean and modern, there was an executive lounge where you could enjoy some snacks and drinks in peace.

The hotel is pretty large and it caters to tour groups, so it can get very crowded and noisy if you didn't book the club wing. Dining area can get very busy and some of the dishes would run out and you need to wait for them to be replenished.

Private onsen for JPY3300 (first come first served) is a superb deal and highly recommended. Public onsen are not bad either. Excellent choice of food at the buffet. Great view of Lake Toya, good for walks.

4th floor is balcony room but you can’t see immediately below you because there is a large roof. As a result, you can’t see the lake edge. Get higher floor rooms if you want a better view.

Felt very welcomed before I even stepped into the hotel as the staff were there outside to guide you to the reception. Onsen was amazing with great views. Food was great too. Definitely my most comfortable stay in my trip

There’s a specific time when you should go for dinner. We were assigned an early timing of 530 initially. However, we asked the staff if we could change the timing and got a later one eventually. My advice is to let the staff know your preferred timing for the dinner buffet before arriving :)

It’s spacious & very clean with a large sitting area. Friends from another room could come over at night to chat. The beds are comfortable. The room had a gorgeous view of Lake Toya. The buffet breakfast & dinner were good except the food were almost the same each of the 2 days that we stayed. Staff was very helpful. We had to take our luggage from the lobby to our rooms. But I did not mind since the hotel provided a cart and put our luggage on the cart for us. One staff, Duojie, was particularly helpful. After we checked out, we were about to take a taxi to pick up a rental car from Date. He told us the rental car company could deliver the car to the hotel for a small fee which was much less expensive than taxi. He immediately helped us to cancel our taxi booking and contacted the rental car company to deliver our car. The rental car agent came with our car in less than 30 minutes. It saved our time, money& trouble of loading/unloading our luggages.

On the desk of the room, there were discount coupons to several tourist attractions. Unfortunately we did not notice until our last day. To make the dinning experience more interesting, some different varieties of food can be added each day. My brother booked a 3 person room on a different wing. Their room was old and not as spacious as ours. The bathroom was old & small. They were quite disappointed, especially after seeing ours because they booked a month later than us and paid a lot more.

One of the best properties we've visited in our travels in Japan. Modern, clean, spacious. View of Lake Toya was breathtaking, especially with full view of the nightly fireworks. Breakfast/dinner buffets had so many choices/stations and were delicious, with a spectacular view of the lake while dining. Onsen was lovely, especially the open air bath at the top of the hotel where you can see the stars at night. We regret only staying for one night.

We had to park about 5mins walk away from the hotel as the main lot was full which was a bit inconvenient. Also, we were on a floor where after getting off the lift, we had to climb a set of stairs - with big luggage and a 2-yr old, a bit inconvenient as well.

Everything is the best! The view is awesome. You could see the toya river and the island from the indoor onsen. The food is good and sufficient. The room is the most spacious in this trip to Japan. I cannot find my shoes in the room because I lose the way. The snacks and fruits are decent. The hotel is nearby the bus station. I will come back again in summer.

If you stay for two nights or more, the hotel will provide a special menu for your dinner. But the food is not special enough. It is a normal food set. Anyway, it is fine.

Excellent dinner and breakfast with good variety and quality of food at the buffet. Amazing view of the lake from the room, at meals and outdoor onsen. Facilities were well maintained and staff was extremely welcoming and polite. Great place to spend a night or 2!

Perhaps having shuttle service to and from the train station would make it more convenient for travellers who are not driving or coming from Sapporo to be able to use the bus service. We happened to get a taxi on exiting the train station so it was still convenient for us.

The room was spacious, with a main bedroom (for 2 people) and a living room (which turned to 2 tatami beds), with a full amazing Lake view where we watched the fireworks from the balcony of our room Toilet and washroom are separate rooms with all necessary amenities We went to the rooftop onsen right after settling into our room, the view of the lake was breathtaking and so calming (indoors was too hot for us during summer), wash area within onsen provided all the required amenities (but need to bring towels from room) and we wore the clothes & slippers provided in the room within the hotel during our stay (they asked us for our genders upon booking & arranged the required sizes in our room) Upon check-in, they provided dinner & breakfast coupons with suggested dining times. Buffet Dinner & Breakfast were absolutely superb and so delicious. Both meals had a large variety of foods, including Western, Japanese and Asian, and of course ice cream! Apart from buffet tables, there were made-to-order stations - Breakfast had freshly squeezed apple juice, omelette & pancakes. Dinner had a mouth-watering wagyu beef, selection of noodles & pasta. Both meals had a kids area where the benches are lowered so children can easily get their own portioned cups of food & my child enjoyed the experience very much.

Our room was on 3/F, which was actually an elevator ride to 2/F and needed to go up a flight of stairs (needed to carry own luggage up)

View from the room was exceptional with the bay windows overlooking the lake. Room was spacious and modern. This hotel is the only one along the lake that maximises its location with double height floor to ceiling glass facade in the lobby and dining area that overlooks the lake. Just stunning. The food selection was also fantastic with something for everyone. The outdoor onsen on the roof overlooking the lake was a special experience. The fireworks in the evening on the lake just in front of the hotel were a real treat. There's also a 7-11 just across the street if you need anything.
