A quiet, peaceful inn approximately a ten minute walk from the train station. Basically in the city centre but on a quiet little street just far enough away from the main drag. Very comfortable beds, and a lovely minimalist living area with wardrobes and sitting area. The room was more like a suite and had a separate kitchen/prep area through a curtain with fridge, sink, microwave etc, a bathroom as well as another WC with just a toilet/sink, so we were well catered for. We arrived early and were allowed to leave our luggage while we went out to explore the nearby Fushimi Inari Shrine. The gentleman at the desk gave us a dual language note of nearby coffee shops, restaurants etc which was really helpful. When we arrived back in the evening, our luggage had been placed in our room for us, which was nice and wouldn't usually happen in a bigger hotel. We didn't have breakfast and were travelling on the next day so I'm not sure what those facilities were like (or if there were any).

Everything was great. I don't think there's any bar or restaurant or anything like that in the inn, but for us that wasn't necessary anyway: the location was so central that everything is within walking distance, and we were more than happy with the room facilities. Staff were quietly friendly, discrete and helpful and the inn was peaceful and comfortable.

Staff was very very friendly. They even helped us send our luggage to our next stop. Check in/check out was easy. They had a little card wishing us a wonderful honeymoon. Loved the Japanese western style. Lots of room for me and my husband. Easy to navigate to Kyoto station. Wanted to wander Kyoto some more after checking out and they held our backpacks while we explored. Would definitely stay here again.

We ran out of time and did not get to use the private bath.

An ideally located, semi-traditional Japanese hotel in Kyoto. The staff at the hotel was very friendly and helpful. They give special attention to details and make sure that the guest's experience is a priority. Special thanks to Saturo at the front desk for recommending restaurants nearby and suggesting sights to visit.

Nothing..... Everything was top-notch.

The feel of a more traditional hotel with a modern touch

The windows in the kitchen area where pretty cold, but it was solved with a heater near them

10 minute walk from the station. Our room on the 5th floor had beds rather than futons on the floor. There was a microwave and kettle in the room which was clean. The staff spoke reasonable english and were helpful.

The private onsen / bath could have been bigger.

Room was bigger than I expected. NIce to have a toaster and microwave in the room. Front desk helped me with shipping our bags to our hotel in Tokyo. Hotel was close enough to the station to walk and it was just down the street from a major temple.

The location was great! It's next to the Kyoto train station. It's Japan so, the room isn't so large, but it was fine for our stay since we were out most of the day. It was more traditional, which we liked. The property was quiet, which was really nice.

Hachi Inn was very clean, with friendly staff who were helpful to answer any questions but also friendly with us. They engaged in conversation which was really cool. The room had all the things you would expect or want, including a kickass shower, Wifi, tea, refrigerator, etc
