HOTEL TORIFITO KANAZAWA

Great location with a fabulous though repetitive breakfast (especially if you were to stay more than a couple of days). Nevertheless, we enjoyed the good taste and decent variety of breakfast choices. The staff were generally helpful and welcoming. Room was generally soundproof, which is always a plus.

The room was small and badly thought out. There was no space for any luggage (we had two small handcarry luggages and they were constantly in the way because we had to place them along the sole narrow pathway). The air-conditioning was blowing directly at the bed during the whole stay which resulted in waking up to dry mouths and activated sinus issues.

We loved this hotel so much! The amenities were great especially the onsen located on the 2nd floor for women and 3rd for men. Walking distance from Kanazawa station and also very accessible to get around the city (by walking or bus). We had such a lovely time at this hotel. The room was small but nicely decorated. The lobby was gorgeous. Highly recommend!

Do take note that if you're staying for 2 days or less they do not provide room service, they do provide a change of towels and the onsen items daily which they will leave on the floor. We're ok with it.

Easy to find walking from/to Kanazawa Station. Convenient location to walk around Kanazawa. We walked everywhere major from here. Very clean room & bathroom. Like having the separated bathroom from the toilet room. My room wasn’t the smallest one they have so I think anything smaller would be a little crowded for 2 people with 2 suitcases. I booked 2 rooms this size for my friend and I because it was so cheap. We didn’t need to share a twin room and we were only here for a night.

Superb hospitality from the hotel staff, who were very responsive to my queries even before my arrival. This hotel seems to be rather new, so the room and hotel facilities were in very good condition. The train station was just a short 5 mins walk away, or 10 mins with a luggage. No worries if it rains - just take the underpass for Porte Kanazawa shopping mall and through Hotel Nikko which is directly opposite the hotel entrance :)

This is a modern business/tourist hotel designed for the Japanese market, but there were quite a few foreign visitors staying too. The hotel is located just 5 minutes walk from Kanazawa station and about 15 minutes stroll to several of the main tourist spots. Being close to the station and the large number of retail outlets around it gives you lots of opportunities for places to eat in the evenings. The rooms are on the smaller side by Western standards and don't have a lot of storage if you want to unpack your case, but they are nicely decorated and comfortable. Our room also didn't have much of a view despite being on the 8th floor, but we could see a sliver of sky at sunset! The rooms are only serviced every 3 days, but housekeeping does leave fresh towels and "pajamas" (for the public bath) at the door each morning, and you then place your used items in the same bags in the hallway. Easy and sensible. The buffet breakfast is focused on Japanese tastes but is high quality and delicious with a range of interesting local dishes, some of which are explained in detail. There is also some rotation of specialties if you are staying for several days. We never had to wait to get a table. There is an excellent laundry room with low prices for use of the machines. You can even check on progress of your wash via the TV in your room!

The Internet access was terrible - at times it barely functioned. Otherwise, the hotel was great.

Hotel is near e train station hence very easy for day trips out. Even though it is a quiet alley, there are no shady businesses around hence still feel very safe. Hotel staff are friendly and helpful. We did the luggage forwarding with the hotel recept and she actually called our next accom to verify our booking. We did luggage forwarding with 5 hotel recepts. Only 2 did such a check. Breakfast is exceptional! E spread is wide yet everything tastes nice. We had beef curry and sashimi amongst other food at breakfast. The sashimi is fresher than those I had at the market. Oh oh the pudding n mochi are very nice too! Hotel comes with a public bath and its clean. Room is of modern deco and of decent size.

Would prefer there's housekeeping everyday. Not too keen on this Eco-friendly housekeeping tho u can top up for it.

Convenient location, 5-6 min walk from Kanazawa station, lots of food around plus Family Marts and 7-11. Room is pretty spacious, single beds are rather big and blanket is super comfortable. Room is cooling with the A/C, water is well heated with an amazing shower. We arrived at 1 plus pm and although check in was only at 3pm, the staff let us check in early. Some floors have lounges with vending machines, water dispenser, microwave and ice cubes which is so thoughtful! Also want to give a shout out to an eatery called Sushi Tora, only 100m away from the hotel with exceptional service and fresh food.

It's very central and you definitely save money being a few mins away from the station rather than right next door to it. The singles are very cozy and well designed and the bathhouse very relaxing. Hot tip- the "doubles" are really single rooms in the eye of the Japanese and are perfect for 1 (doable for 1 night for a very close couple). It's cheap enough that the entire family were delighted to treat ourselves to a room each! Breakfast was delicious and we would definitely come back. The restaurants in the Hyatt? Hilton? Mall behind the station is much better quality than the aeon mall next to the station.

The location of the hotel is great. We can walk shortly from the train station. The room is big, clean and quiet. Our family room comes with the room plan that seperates 2 bunk beds at the corner wall which is so interesting and practical. The buffet breakfast has good quality and tastes good. Although some staffs can't communicate in English well, they are helpful and very polite.

I really dont like the pillows of the hotel so much. I understand that the pillows are healthy pillows, but for people who arent used to using it, it is very difficult to use. At least, the hotel should provide the normal ones for guests who cannot use this special pillow. The price of the room is a bit expensive.
