Daiwa Roynet Hotel KANAZAWA-MIYABI

Breakfast was great with a decent spread that included western and japanese buffet options. Be sure to include breakfast in your hotel booking, otherwise the breakfast tables might be fully booked and the hotel unable to accommodate your request for breakfast if you book on the spot. The hotel does not have parking but affordable parking (you pay at a meter) is available right opposite the hotel and if that is full, there are nearby options as well. The rooms are very comfortable and the hotel is very well located, within walking distance to JR station and adjacent malls with great food options. If you are in to Pokemon, the Pokemon Centre sells a kimono-dressed Pikachu thats available only from the Kanazawa centre. There is also an Irish Pub right outside the hotel

Very hard to find anything to quibble about.. I suppose if I have to write anything, the toilet paper is single ply and strangely for our room, we were given just one set of towels / yukata, even though there were two of us in the room (not sure if the hotel reception recorded the number of guests correctly) As mentioned earlier, we forgot to include breakfast ahead of time when we booked and we were told that breakfast was "fully booked" but we can try our luck to see if the breakfast restaurant can accomodate us on the day itself. So be sure to book early.

Service was flawless, check-in went nice and easy. Perfectly clean room which feels very modern in its design. Cozy bed, pillows and blanket. Manual regulation of the room temperature. Plus all of the equipment you need to have a chill stay. Fridge, glasses/cups, water boiler, tissues,a big TV, alarm, hair dryer, air humidifier, modern Japanese toilet and a lot more things that I probably forget to mention just now are all present. By far the best place out of five hotels I stayed at during my trip. Can't recommend it enough :)

Would have liked the TV to have an option to cast your screen (like for example with your YouTube mobile app), but it's more of a nitpick.

We must have been the first people to ever stay in our room, it was completely new, unscuffed and very clean. The room was on the smallish side (which is absolutely normal for Japan) but had absolutely everything you need including a clothes refreshing and drying closet, which was desperately needed after we got caught in the rain. It generally feels more like a business hotel, and aside from us tourists it was mostly business travellers here, which also means that the hotel is stylish but functional. The hotel lobby is stylish and the breakfast room "simple and functional", but the breakfast buffet is good offering a selection of western and Japanese dishes. The hotel is located right next to the main station, so very easy to get to, if you're travelling by Shinkansen.

The hotel, while very close to the main station, is a far way away from the main shopping and dining district of Katamachi and the other sights like the Geisha district or the castle. We enjoyed walking everywhere so didn't find it too bad, but if you're not too good on foot you might prefer something more centrally located.

Breakfast was great a lot of food, fish, noodles, pastry, fruit-vegetable juice, coffee. For me it is too much. :-) Great helpful personal. Comfy bed. Very nice tattoo friendly onsen (with stick) for free. Bath + shower. Great tempura restaurant nearby. Kanazawa station 5min walk. Restaurants and shop inside station.

Maybe it was for the onsen but price seems to me little high for night without breakfast. Also surroundings are just hotels, streets, station. Need to walk, bus, JR or uber to move to the coast or opposite historic center/castle. To Uchinada beach it is 30min bus (400Y) +15min walk and beach is really long and big - better go by car and you can ride on the beach... :-) Trouble to find correct Daiwa hotel from station as they are on both side/exits. Be careful about that. ;-)

Fantastic Hotel!! Had everything you needed in your room! Even a dry cleaner!! Clean, beds super comfy, location is great, amenities available and just grab any coffee needed downstairs in reception, on your way up. The hotel is beautiful, the decor is so calming and as a florist, loved the flower arrangements on the different floors. The staff were great at organising my luggage delivery to my next hotel and generally very helpful and friendly. Would happily stay here again, in a heartbeat. Room size is much bigger than the other hotel rooms I've stayed at so far

Excellent onsen, large breakfast buffet with western and Japanese food, friendly staff, complimentary tea and coffee. Beds in the twin room comfortable.

Had some confusion at check in about receiving breakfast for my daughter - Booking.Com said that breakfast was included in the room price but the hotel wanted me to pay extra for the second set of tickets as they didn’t think the booking covered children’s breakfast also. This was resolved with a bit of polite conversation and they agreed to honour the online booking conditions but important to be aware of this if booking for a family group.

The hotel is clean and have parking. The staff is wonderful. Ms Kim is amazing and she went out of the way to help us sort out our cell phone problem. She swt the tone for great customer service at the hotel. Both Ms. Kim and Ms, Goto ate very attentive and helpful. The hotel is close to Kanazawa station, which is convenient. It has access to many good restaurants.

The hotel is far elfrom main attractions such as Kenroku-en or Higashi Chaya Street. The public bath is small and the water is bot hot enough.

Location was fantastic. A few minutes walk from the rail & bus station which meant transport was easy and, the station has a variety of shops and eating options. The nearby Hyatt has an adjacent shopping centre with a great range of restaurants on the upper floors. The room was incredibly comfortable. Bathroom spacious with all the facilities you might need. Laundry facilities are great. Loved our stay.

Largest room we had in Japan. Expected twin beds, but got semi-double, and they were very comfortable. Bathroom/toilet/sink separated by doors. Room had private washer/dryer including laundry soap. Large selection at breakfast buffet. Location convenient to West exit of Kanazawa station.

While door between sink and toilet was solid and sliding, door between sink and bath/shower was non-frosted glass, so the tub and sink couldn't be used at the same time if you're not a couple. Made me feel like an idiot for booking other hotel brands for rest of trip.

Hotel is 5 mins walk to Kanazawa train station and is on the quiet side of the station which is great. Hotel is new, bright and modern and room with twin bed is quite spacious with a sitting area and air con can be controlled. Beds and pillows are firm and comfortable and the pajamas shirt and pants provided are soft and really nice to wear. Used the efficient washing machine dryer ( no detergent needed) and there are 4 options that can satisfy all washing needs. Washing status and hot bath crowd status can be conveniently monitored from the room. Enjoyed the good size hot bath and bath amenities provided. Women’s bath has additional pass security make for safer bathing experience. Free tea and coffee supplies are freely provided at the lobby area. Buffet breakfast at the ground floor dining area has a good spread and selection including local delicacies and vegetables/ salads, worth paying for. As the dining area is narrow, hotel practised good crowd control through allocated breakfast time. Checkout at 11am is good and can be further extended with a fee ( if catching late train, flight)

Hot bath time starts only at 4pm although check in time is at 2pm. It will be good if the hot bath is open earlier ! However, the bath is open till 1 am!
