Toyo Hotel

I liked the location of the hotel. It is very close to Hakata Station. There was enough space for my large checked luggage to be opened.

I was surprised to find the washer and dryer location were outside of the hotel at the back. It creates a security concern since there is no key card lock on the door (there is a security person monitoring instead). It was also fortunate that it wasn't raining while I was washing my clothes. Other than that, my stay was mostly okay.

Based on the map I thought it was a bit far from the station. But it was barely a 5 minute walk from the south gate of hakata station. Rooms are clean, toiletries and dotour instatnt coffee unlimited at the lobby. Love the shampoo and conditioner. Breakfast is the best feature. Typically japanese with rice, sausages, mackarel, natto, miso soup and side dishes. The added price for the breakfast was worth it. They allowed us to leave our luggages downstairs after we have checked out and still had time for some sightseeing. A Family mart conveniently across the hotel.

Small rooms but it is usually like that in japanese hotel rooms. There are other places closer to hakata station for lesser the price but often without breakfast. If you have a lot of luggages, a bit of a walk to and from the station. While I love the breakfast, I wish there were more fruits offered.

The hotel is a few minutes walk from the Chikushi Exit of Hakata Station. The staffs are nice and responsive and can speak English well. I have a package to be delivered on the day of our arrival and I am glad that the item is already in our room when we checked in. I notified them in advanced and they responded promptly. Our family did not avail of the breakfast options but convenience stores are nearby. Check in and check out are smooth and easy. Room size is just enough for our family with a luggage and a stroller. Bed and other amenities are also okay. Will book again next time we visit Fukuoka.

At first I almost chose to stay around tenjin area because of night life there was more vivid. However, I felt very lucky to choose Toyo hotel around hakata area this time. It's very near Chikushi ticket Gate exit ( East Exit of Hakata station) walking 5 mins to the hotel. The road floor was not that smooth so it took some efforts to drag the luggage along the way. I recommended you who come from fukuoka airport to take the taxi, it costed only 1290 yen, worth to pay for sure. There were 2 convenient stores where I went to buy some stuff before came back to the hotel every nights. Without luggage, it's very easy to walk and go around fukuoka. Especially, my plan to go to Aso, Kumamoto and Yufuin. Room was the normal size in Japan (smaller than other countries) but still bigger than my expectation. The famous Issou ramen is nearby from walking distance. You can enjoy hakata ramen there.

Very near to Hakata Station, less than a 5 minute walk away. Very convenient Family Mart across the street. Easy check-in and check-out.

I kept sneezing and coughing throughout the night because of the dust inside the room, needed to take anti-allergy medicines every time I’m inside the room. There is an air purifier inside the room and it helped a little. They always phone daily asking about cleaning and the bathroom is always spotless but I think the carpet needs to be cleaned more extensively.

Location is great, not far from Hakata Station and FUK airport Minimart is opposite the hotel Bigger room than hotel other i have been We stayed in 3 bedrooms room and we still have space left to open our 3 luggage Staff can speak english and very helpful I would say that the english of staff here is better than any other staff in other hotels that i stayed in this trip

There is no shower cap provided in the room, i am not sure that i have to ask the staff or not There is small desk in lobby which provides free amenities but there is no shower cap too

We weren't expecting the place to be as fancy as it was (I didn't do much research on the hotel before coming). It was a great experience. They provided everything needed and more. We had a room at the top floor, a nice view and a watercooker (I love making myself tea so I was happy they had one). The location was amazing, right next to the station.

It would've been nice if they had a water dispenser. They didn't, but it's not the end of the world.

The hotel is located near Hakata Station but distanced enough to be peaceful. All necessary amenities are provided. Breakfast is diverse and its choices are diverse. Staffs are English-speaking, friendly, and supportive.

Air conditioner cannot work, although we book the room with it. There is such machine in the room but only works as a centralized heater. So, when the window is open, the weather is too cold. When it is close, the weather is too hot and not ventrilated properly.

I booked for a twin bed room but when I checked in somehow there was a problem and they changed it to double bed room without even trying to explain it to me😂. The staffs were talking themselves about the problem in Japanese which they didn’t know I’d understand. I didn’t not mind the change at all but it would be appropriate and appreciated if they at least try to explain the problem and ask my opinion 😂

It is near Hakata Station and there are many restaurants and konbinis nearby also. The receptionist was really helpful, they helped me book a taxi when going to the airport. The room is spacious and I really liked that there is a smart tv in the room.

Only the heater works inside the room during winter so it gets hot along time. The wifi was not that strong also, sometimes it doesnt work that much so I cannot enjoy the smart tv
