I loved the setting right beside the castle. Yes, it's another hill to climb on the Via Francigena, but well worth it. Tale route no. 4 from the back of the cental piazza and that is a fairly short route that leaves you right at the guesthouse. Fantastic communication with owners. They were so helpful and answered my messages quickly and facilitated my requests regarding food. The room was beautiful with an outlook onto trees and gardens and a verandah with chairs and table. It is really quiet and very relaxing with birdsong. The bed was comfortable andI had a great night's sleep. Everything iwas excellent and as I said, we'll worth the extra effort to get there.

The property was very nice. The room was nicely appointed, and the bathroom was beautiful. The view from the windows was beautiful. The breakfast was fair.
The property is located up a very steep hill, and the restaurant is not open in the evening. We were walking the Via Francigena and therefore did not have a car. If you want to have dinner, you need to walk about a kilometer back down the hill to find a restaurant, and then walk back up the hill at night.

Lovely big room, great bed and shower, and peaceful surroundings
After a long day of hiking it was tough to discover that we needed to climb steeply uphill to Al Drit. And tougher to find the restaurant closed for dinner and to have to retrace steps down and back to buy provisions. No possibility of cooked eggs at breakfast due to the restaurant problem

The very comfortable large room had magnificent views. The bathroom was also extra large and recently very tastefully renovated.
We were on foot and Google maps directed us up the road to Le Drit. It would have been much easier if we knew the shorter way to get there.

Was farther out of town (and uphill!) than we’d realized so I might not recommend it for Francigena walkers.
