Grand Hotel Sitea

- Spacious room (stayed in a Suite). - Parking in hotel upon reservation and availability (at a supplement which is fair). Otherwise there is a public parking in the vicinity: check with the hotel. - Great location (within short walking distance to main attractions: Egyptian Museum / Real Museums / Palazzo Madama / Palazzo Carignano / Various Squares / Via Roma and so on.. - Located on a quiet street "ZTL" (Zona a Traffico Limitato) = mainly pedestrian street where only very few authorised cars can access. - Good in-house restaurants (one of which is a Michelin Star). - Even though we have not tried it, in-room breakfast is served till noon (10.30 if at the restaurant). - Extremely kind, helpful & efficient staff. - Would return when back in Torino.

Very comfortable hotel, pleasant and spacious room with a very comfortable bed. We liked the location, just a few minutes from the centre of the old town, but extremely quiet. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly.

It would be nice if the hotel left a small carton of milk in the fridge for people who need it in their tea and perhaps also upgraded to a coffee pod machine in the room rather than instant coffee.

A historical hotel, interesting architecture, beautiful interior, a bar where you can find very good wines and amarro from Piedmont.

As the hotel is Old (in terms of history, the building and infrastructure are well entertained) rooms are rather small and ventilation is old. There is no bathroom. Issues which could be made better: usually a 5 star hotel offers rasoirs and a small toothbrush in the bathroom. The hotel offered us 2 pairs of bathshoes, but one pair was very well hidden, so we didn't find it on the arrival day.

Great location. Old school grand vibe. Clean, large room. Excellent bathroom.

Important to get a room facing the courtyard. If you face the street, you will have significant street noise. Plus, the hotel switches off air conditioning in October. I was there during an unusual heat wave in late October and the room was very warm. Had to open the windows. The street noise was terrible. The hotel moved me to a courtyard facing room, and it was much quieter, but still very warm.

Breakfast great

When we were leaving there were thieves who stole a suitcase and a rucksack containing many valuables like passport, computer, wallet, cash and credit cards. It was stolen from the trunk of our car that Your staff took out from the garage to the front entrance. Thieves took it from a closed but not locked trunk, left alone 2-3 minutes. This was very negative. We will never come back to Turin after this.

Location excellent, in the very center of Turin, close to everything. Breakfast really excellent, really huge choice of salty and sweet food. A lot of drinks either

I was satisfied in everything but some of my friends did not have a mobile little shower in the tub. They only had a huge shower which could not be removed but they did not even complain too much.

The hotel is superbly located in the centre of the old city and allows excellent access to the various piazze, museums, galleries and of course shops. The staff are discreet and very polite and will park your car for you upon arrival and retrieve it upon departure. The room (superior double) was large and comfortable, quiet and the bed was very very good. The hotel is being given a thorough refit and the rooms overlooking the city were unavailable to us but the garden view was pleasant and we didn't feel we had missed out on anything special by facing the back of the building. The hotel feels traditionally decorated and retains much of the charm from its earlier years.

The wifi signal was weak and we gave up in the end. The breakfast was good in terms of service, coffee and the room it was served in but the range was a little limited, especially the hot food - the scrambled eggs had been made too early and kept warm too long and the bacon was equally soggy from being kept in the pan. I would suggest a wider range of hot food and perhaps more excellent Italian bread.

Apparently air conditioning set for each season, so unable to cool room down in March. Opening the windows helped but this let in noise from the staff(?) when they gathered in the inner courtyard at 1am. Same problem may have occurred with a street facing room.

We had dinner in the bistrot, the service was attentive, all the waiters working that night were real professionals and they make the whole experience memorable. Now to the amazing part: food and wine. The food was exceptional, from the materials used to the presentation. The wines' list was quite impressive, with lots of choice from the wine regions in Piedmont. I would love to come back and have dinner in the restaurant, it must be something else. Breakfast was equally good, great choice and the best croissant I have ever had. Location is bang in the middle of the centre in Turin, the whole city is at your feet.

This is not a big thing and did not interfere with our stay at all, but the bathroom in the room where we stayed could do with a makeover.

We expected everything to be as advertised: classic, elegant, quiet. But, even though it’s within just a short walking distance from the train station, it’s beautifully located in one of Turin’s best pedestrian streets, with great restaurants all around (including their own) - and that was an unexpected bonus.
