Hotel Colomba D'Oro

We enjoyed our stay at Colomba so much that we'd love to stay again when we visit Tropea next time. The hotel is super clean and stylish. It is located by Piazza Vittorio Veneto where is few minutes walk away from the gorgeous old town. It's in a quiet residential area where has few stores, restaurants and bars. Although the hotel only has 3 floors, it has a glassed lift which would easily fit a wheelchair with couple of people together. We stayed at the Deluxe room on the top floor which has a double shower room, a juliet balcony, Trussardi wallpaper, white marble floor and a powerful air conditioner. The WiFi is really fast too (tested at 55.1 Mbps for download and 16 Mbps for upload). The key reason we enjoyed that stay so much is the uber friendly staff. Manuela and Eleonora at the reception were so charming and helpful. Valentina made the best coffee at the breakfasts and she was full of joy and energy. Every guest enjoyed chatting with them. There were another two male staff who we didn't manage to get their names but they were also really friendly too. They all made us feel like home and that's why we would love to stay there again. They are definitely the assets of the hotel and they have made the experience so special and unforgettable. I'd definitely recommend this hotel and really can't wait to visit Tropea again.

Everything about this hotel was excellent from the amazing front desk staff to the elegance and the cleanliness. The breakfast was very good, although at times it could use some quicker replenishing, however the quality and variety was great. The location of this hotel was perfect as it was within a short walk to the Centro of Tropea but not close enough to be bothered by the noise. Our group of friends all thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Colomba D'Oro ... thank you!

The property is spectacular! The rooms are large, extremely clean and well appointed. The photos online do not do it justice! Beautiful neighborhood with many restaurants just steps away. I was a solo female traveler and felt very safe even walking to dinner by myself in the evening. The culture of TROPEA is warm and welcoming. The hotel owners and staff were beyond amazing as well as local shop owners who easily became my friends! Will definitely stay at the hotel again in near future

This is one of the most pleasant hotel stays we have ver had. We got the reservation at a very good rate and the room was furnished beautifully, with a very comfortable bed, and a refrigerator. Two windows gave it excellent ventilation. The breakfast was very good, and the hotel is conveniently located; it is a short walk from the train station, within a few minutes of the historic old town, and close to the ocean front. There is also a good-sized supermarket about a 10 to 15 minute walk away, so one can buy some food to keep in one's room.

I can't think of anything we did not like.

This was a really great location. The hotel is very nice. We had breakfast the morning we left to go back to Rome. Suzanna was the best. She had Italian music playing in the restaurant and was singing with it. It truly was a cheerful atmosphere. She was so pleasant to be around and made sure that we were comfortable. She made the best coffee. I loved the fact that the hotel was only a couple of blocks from the piazza in the city center of Tropea.

Wonderful hotel , perfect location, super clean & quiet !! 4 Magnificent women seemed to keep this gorgeous place running perfectly..Two on rotating desk duty , always warmly engaging & helpful . A housekeeper who kept everything impeccable and no request was too much for her . And lastly, but most amazing was Valentina in breakfast room . She single handedly made cappuccinos, seated guests , cleared and chatted with all us guests each morning and all with genuine pleasure. This hotel is a special place , its staff make it superb . A lovely hotel, beautifully presented with delightful, welcoming staff. I arrived early just to leave a bag but my room was ready - and was also an upgrade from my booking. An exceptionally large, light, room with a very comfortable bed. Excellent bathroom with extra large shower. Breakfast is good - many sweet options as in Italy. Also fruit and yoghurt, with coffee made for you. Location is quiet and 2 minutes walk from the Centro Storico. Would definitely return here.

Breakfast was amazing, the location is perfect. The hotel is beautiful and the best thing about it is the amazing staff who were so friendly and welcoming and helpful. Absolutely loved it!

I liked everything! The only thing that went wrong was that sometimes the main door wouldn't open with our room keys but there was always someone there to let us in.

Very nice and cozy hotel, nice staff, great location and very easy to find a parking close to the hotel. Fresh and tasty breakfast (pastry), just not too much options like shown on pictures.

Our room was close to kitchen and early in the morning we were waken up by the sound of kitchenware and staff, which wasn't very pleasant. Breakfast options were not that rich, I believe because of the non-season time, but everything we had was very tasty and fresh

The lady's service at breakfast is incredibly rough. It was impressive that it was like this during the 3 days we were there, with our group and other guests. It ruins any good impression of the hotel and other employees.
