Regina Elena Dependance

This review is not for the Regina Elena Dépendance but for the main hotel Best Western Regina Elena where we stayed for 4 days. I had originally booked the Dépendance not being aware that they were 2 separate buildings. We wanted a sea view with a terrace and this was not available in The Dépendance part. On arrival went to the main reception and Francesca the lady in charge was very helpful and switched us to a fabulous room with views and balcony of course with an extra to pay but we were happy to so. Francesca helped us also for our visit to Cinque Terre which was fabulous, finally we took a train to Monterosso and then did the villages by boat. The best Western provides private parking which is a real bonus, it is close to shops, restaurants and public transport , so great location. Room was spacious with comfortable bedding and a very good bathroom. Breakfast was very copious with an amazing choice. All the staff was courteous and helpful. Would very happily come back and thank you to you all for a great stay.

Everything was good but somehow the cost of 50 Euros per day for 2 sun beds by the beach was a little high so we did use them. Wish we had known this in advance.

Breakfast was great! Location was great! Location was clean. Loved that it had a rooftop to hang out at. Although we did not order drinks to the rooftop, that was a nice option to have.

We were placed in the ANNEX part of the hotel. It was an older building off to the side of the main hotel with not much space in the room. Would have been nice to know in advance. The reception to the TV was bad the first night. Although the mini-fridge did not work when we first arrived, staff tried to address this shortly after we complained.

A unbelievably perfect stay - such an incredible location nudged between downtown Sta Margherita & Portofino not to mention it legit is on the beach front with PRIVATE HOTEL ONLY ACCESS!!! Countless amenities that were so amazing: decedent breakfast, breathtaking room views, rooftop pool & spa, parking options, in room mini bars, and so so much more. EXCELLENT service: we booked last minute on a whim after deciding that we hadn’t had enough time in town & got the last room. As soon as we arrived, we were greeted and treated so wonderfully it felt like staying at the Four Seasons. 10/10 recommend - don’t waste another moment & book. Then get ready to be blown away!!

I stayed at Regina Elena with my grandmother, and staff was so helpful and kind to support my grandmother. The facility is very close to the beach and there's a lift from the hotel to the beach which is veri comfortable for who has mobility problems like my grandmother . Staff in the restaurant and at the bar are all very professional and kind. Always happy to smile and stop for a little chat with you. I lost my sunny and staff looked for them all around the beach and brought back to me. It's has been an amazing stay at regina Elena. I will definitely come back. Good job guys

The property was very well located in the middle of Santa Margherita and only a 15 minute boat ride to portofino. The hotel had an amazing pool with sun beds and the rooms were lovely with everything you needed. There was always someone at front desk offering help if needed.

The only complaint would be that the bar in the hotel was not open for our stay and you had to go down to the beach bar to get drinks.

The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Our room was comfortable with a nice view. We booked on value so we were not expecting a luxury property. The hotel was what we were expecting in a great location.

Breakfast good value. Room small & basic but comfortable & clean. Working aircon, power shower & safe in the room Great location. Use of the main hotel facilities was a huge bonus & why I'd recommend this property. All the staff were excellent, really helpful & friendly.

A kettle/cups would have been a nice bonus.

The breakfast was fantastic! There was a huge choice between the pastries, not too mention fruit, bacon, eggs, cereal etc. My room was gorgeous and had a little balcony overlooking the sea. There was a bus stop right in front of the hotel, so you didn't need a car to go to portofino or the train station. They even sell the bus tickets at the front desk. Their toiletry items were first class too.

Being able to walk into Portofino. Excellent value breakfast at just 5€ each. Secure automatic underground parking.

Arriving at the same time as two coaches, we were pushed aside to make way for them to park up first. Although it was rainy, it was still 24 degrees outside but the pool was closed for the duration of our stay.

This hotel was the perfect location on the beech. Dog freindly the rooms were well equipped lovely shower very clean. Our balcony was sea view. The beds were very comfortable. Would highly recommend and would love to stay here again. The staff and the barman were all helpful freindly and they even had a gift bag for the dog.amazing thank you. Also the self service underground garage was amazing very clever.
