Hotel Gardenia

We were delayed by the ferry from Greece being 7 hours late leaving about 4 hours to drive over 500km to arrive by 2300. Contacted the hotel. No problem someone here until 0100 and if that’s a problem we can give you the door codes etc. Arrived at 0130 as there was a 35 minute delay on the autostrada due to an accident. Codes worked. Key on reception desk. Information about breakfast already sent. Cold water in the fridge. A good end to a rather fraught day. Hotel was comfortable. Breakfast excellent. Definitely stay again. Staff really helpful.

The staff were very kind and helpful. They always had a cheerful smile and went out if their way to make our stay very enjoyable. The room was peaceful despite the hotel being quite busy. This was our second stay at Hotel Gardenia and we look forward to returning in the future.

There was nothing that we didn't like.

The staff were extremely helpful, we were delayed due to severe weather conditions and motorway accidents. They kept the kitchen open for us, even though we arrived an hour after it was due to close. The food was excellent and the menu prices were extremely good value for money. I will definitely stay there again.

There was nothing to not like about it.

We stayed one night in our way home. Easy location to find. Spotlessly clean. Fantastic unexpected meal in the evening. And an absolutely brilliant breakfast. The staff and owner were so lovely and helpful and spoke good English - a bonus. Great secure parking.

The hotel is out of town which suited us but worth noting if you’re expecting to walk out into a town.

The room was very comfortable, spacious and clean. There is really an eye for detail, we liked the provided coffee accessories and toiletries. The bathroom was very neatly arranged, this was the first time we saw toilet paper folded in a point. The staff is very accommodating and friendly. This hotel has potential to get a 4 star rating.

The bed has sharp edges and corners that can hurt your legs when walking around.

Breakfast was excellent. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Location seemed to be on a commercial estate, so not within easy walking distance of shops and restaurants. This was our only reservation

The hotel was easy to find, and although not far from the motorway, it was very quiet at night. We had a room with a balcony and a wonderful view of the mountains, which was well worth the little extra cost. The bed was very comfortable and breakfast was good so we may return another time.

They accommodated our late arrival due to a long journey and kept in touch so we we assured of check in for which we were grateful arriving at 00:40.

Just needed more than a sheet for bed clothes.

The room was nice and modern, the best value for money we’ve had in our European road trip for sure! Many other chain hotels have disappointed us. Breakfast was plentiful and great choice and it had a good car park too!

Surprisingly spotless. Everything is basic but does the job. Breakfast has more variety than expected. Staff is nice.

Both the double and the 3 people room are a bit small.
