Positano Art Hotel Pasitea

The hotel is beautiful and the staff are very friendly. I only stayed 1 night and arrived late and had to catch a ferry fairly early the next morning, so I can't give a full review of the hotel.

There was a lit of alcohol in the mini bar but not enough soft drinks. A better coffee in the room would have been nice.

My family and I stayed at Hotel Pasitea for four days in July. My husband and I had a double room and our four daughters shared a room (2 twins and a double bed) down the hall from us. Everything about our stay was fantastic. Both rooms had a large balcony with a gorgeous view. The bathrooms were nice and spacious and everything was spotless. The cafe in the lobby is excellent. They serve a delicious breakfast every morning with pastries, fresh fruit, sausage, smoothies, cereal, and coffee drinks made to order. We also enjoyed afternoon drinks at the same spot- perfect place to sit outside and people watch. Hotel Pasitea is about half way down the cliff. We walked to several restaurants above and below us, and to the beach clubs several times. You can also jump on the bus for a few Euros if you don't feel like walking. I highly recommend this hotel, we had the best time here!

There's not much we didn't like. The staff and facilities were great. I guess if you don't like walking, maybe reconsider staying in Positano, as it's part of the experience.

it was a little noisy. They should have enforced a curfew for 11 pm. One night, young people below us, were loud until 3 am, I use to be young, so I understand, but now I am old and need my sleep

I want to put a special word in for the entire staff, including Tony, who guided and assisted us whenever we had a question or request. On the last day we were there, he called down to the dock to confirm that the ferry was indeed going over to Capri that day (the official scheduled trips end in October). Because of that, we were able to go straight from Positano rather than taking a bus back to Sorrento for a ferry from there. A huge life-saver for the day. Tony also recommended two restaurants specifically, and both were great. I'm sure he and the rest of the staff see hundreds of faces a year, but we felt taken care of. The breakfast area, staff, and chef were wonderful, too. They made us great coffees and perfect scrambled eggs. We would definitely go back.

I can't think of anything, but here is more general advice. In Positano, you have to be prepared to do a lot of walking, and that includes lots and lots of stairs. Due to the fact that the train from Naples to Sorrento shut due to rain, we opted for an expensive taxi ride, but it was worth it. ATMs are not handy everywhere you go, so plan ahead.

The staff were incredibly welcoming and accommodating. Tony in particular gave us lots of advice and local knowledge, with restaurant recommendations and tips on how to see local sights at a fraction of the price of organised tours, leaving more money for aperols and pizza! And great cocktails in the hotel bar! Great location, about a 15 minute walk downhill into the town. Uphill walk back was good for burning off the pizza but there is a bus stop right outside the hotel to get up and down the hills if needed. We came to Positano as part of our honeymoon and it was perfect!

The hotel was in a good location - slightly out of the hustle and bustle of the main beach strip of Positano, but still reasonably easy to walk everywhere. The staff were friendly, room was decently sized, nice hot water, comfortable bed, good balcony. The best thing about the hotel is definitely the beautiful view. You definitely pay for the location and when in Positano it’s very necessary to be in walking distance to everything as taxis are quite expensive.

The only thing I would say to fellow travellers is to be aware that there are a LOT of steps to climb between the hotel and the beach at the bottom of the cliff. Positano is a vertical city so it’s unavoidable but important to be aware - I am in good fitness and still found it tiring!

The entire staff (front desk, bellhops, bartenders, room service, cleaning staff) were extremely friendly and helpful. The front desk arranged private escorts from/to the Naples train station for us and helped with dinner recommendations. The rooms were immaculate and had everything we needed - comfortable beds, huge smart tv, great air conditioning that you could control, big bathroom with a good shower and jacuzzi, and an amazing view from the balcony. The hotel is conveniently located on Viale Pasitea which is the main road going down towards the main beach area. It’s about a 15 minute pleasant walk down the road through town to the beach. The location also allowed taxis to easily pick us up and drop us off right in front of the hotel and there was no need to drag luggage up and down the many steps in Positano (we saw people who stayed elsewhere in town not off of the main roads struggling with this). Overall great stay and would definitely return in the future !

Nothing ! Amazing hotel

I can not express my absolute happiness with the professionalism and attention to detail from this hotel. They contacted me about 3 or 4 weeks before we were meant to arrive and notified me that they were renovating and were unable to accommodate us. As a result, they would find us something else. And they did. They put us up in a far more expensive hotel and we were only required to pay the amount they were going to charge us. So they paid the huge difference - over twice the amount as the hotel they put us in was a boutique hotel with only 5 rooms - extremely fancy. I noticed on booking com that there were cheaper hotels available but this hotel choose to put us up in a more expensive place. This is a huge expensive for this hotel and it showcases that they are serious about their customers. Throughout the experience they notified us about every single step and answered all our questions. When we got there, they were renovating and it looks like it will be even better than their photos on line (the hotel that they organised for us was about 30 metres away so we had a look at their renovations). It will definitely be a place to stay. It is seems to have very nice views. Thank you so much for ensuring that you found something suitable for us. You really went out of your way and I can not express our thanks enough. The hotel that you put us in was absolutely lovely as well. It was raining on the day and the lady got us from the parking area - about 20 metres away or so. I can not recommend this hotel enough for looking after their guests and ensuring when something goes wrong they will do something about it and make their customer happy. Please note, that I have never stayed at this hotel before so it wasn’t like I am a regular and they are expected to look after me more. . I look forward to staying in your newly renovated hotel.

The Positano Art Hotel Pasitea was a beautiful location! We were here for the last part of our honeymoon. Right when we checked in Tony was amazing. He gave us some suggestions for places to eat around the hotel which led us right to the Mediteraneo Restaurant on a night where the most amazing staff and let's not forget MUSIC there ever was! We really enjoyed it. The bar staff gave us a free few shots with our limoncellos when we got started on our adventures. The hot tub was everything. The lemon trees in our patio was amazing and our view was something I can't even put into words.

The shower in our room was very strange. It had two tiny double doors that pretty much let the water run out into the bathroom which was annoying. The toiletries that they supplied in the rooms were super cheap for as much as we paid for the room we had. Breakfast was not particularly appealing. We were towards the end of our honeymoon and had stayed in quite a few hotels by now and this was the breakfast we least liked. Very slim on the variety- shriveled up zucchini (I know this a common thing to have for breakfast in Italy) but these were sad. No eggs were out- you have to ask and sometimes when you ask you never get it.

The staff was welcoming providing recommendations for dining and attractions in the city. They arranged for a driver from the train station and to Bomerano for the path of the gods walk. The room was spacious with a beautiful view of the Mediterranean. The particular room we stayed in had beautiful terrace with a large outdoor space including a hot tub. The complimentary breakfast was a wonderful way to start the day.
