Duo Milan Porta Nuova, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel

I liked the bold interior design in the lobby/ bar and also the room. Some of what I was hoping to see in Milan. It is walking distance to the central train station and a 4 minute taxi ride €6.50 at 8am on weekday. It is in more of a built up urban area, rather than being in a glamorous district or touristy district. The buffet breakfast was good value and was bundled with the room price. Suggest finding a cafe nearby if you are in need of a good espresso or latte. Very comfortable room with pillow top bed. Working air conditioning was good when it was still 32degC at 7pm.

My room had a view into the adjacent office building but was still a great place to refresh in a cocooned environment.

Right smack in the middle of the business district. Modern, although some damages already in the bathroom. Breakfast extensive, price high (485EUR) for two nights. Breakfast 15EUR per night.

Even on the ninth floor, mosquitos kept me up during the night. Should have kept the windows closed.

The hotel is great in every aspect. I really liked the ambience and the friendly staff either at the reception or the bar. It is modern, elegant and located near everything you need such as a metro station, market, restaurant, central station and much more.

This negative point has significantly impacted my experience at the hotel and paid a lot more without getting the benefit. I am a solo traveler and requested for a queen bed which is much expensive than a single bed, however, they offered 2 twin beds attached with a queen bed sheet only. It is totally bothered me.

Duo Milan has a fantastic gym located on the lower ground floor. It is equipped with various machines, including a rower, and has an impressive dumbell selection. I chose this hotel specifically because of this, and it exceeded my expectations. The staff were friendly, and their English was of a high standard. There were no communications issues, which I have experienced at other Italian hotels. The hotel feels fresh as it has recently been refurbished. I liked the style of the interior design and decor. It feels new, polished. It is not aged or tacky! The location of the hotel is great. It is near to the Central Station and the internal city is within walking distance, or you can get the tube. Finally, the room window could be opened. I like to have fresh air in my room, so this was appreciated. Quocirca, I would stay at this hotel again, and would recommend it to others. I had a very decent stay before leaving for MXP airport.

A downside of this hotel is its reception. There was a long wait for check in. This is because the reception is simply too small for a hotel of this size. It felt awkward waiting in a curved line in a tight entrance with guests walking in and out of the queue. Value for money is also questionable. This hotel does not have a swimming pool or a spa. It may be worth searching for other options, but nonetheless this is a decent hotel.

beautiful modern new hotel very well equipped and in very good condition. Very good friendly qualified staff which also speaks very good English. nice relatively spacious room with everything you need in the room free water and coffee. free bath items. Very very clean a big compliment to the cleaning staff !!! the breakfast is very good by Italian standards and there is a large selection at the breakfast buffet, praise also goes to the very friendly staff in the breakfast room.

A bar in the lobby would have been nice that you could have a drink in the evening

nice, new hotel situated well to get around, close to metro station and milano centrale train station. clean, comfortable, nice rooms, rather small but big enough (visible on the pictures)

though location is quite convenient, it is not a very nice neighborhood, there's lots of construction in the area and though we didn't have any noise complaints, there aren't too many great restaurants or cafés very nearby.

7min walk from Milano Central Station, or tram stop. There were several eateries and supermarts nearby too. Staff was super friendly during check-in and explained about the facilities. Staff were approachable and ready to assist. Room was spacious and clean! Toiletries smell great! Duo Bistrot served great food! Worth trying out! Highly recommended if you wish to avoid staying in the touristy part of Milan and a short walk from Central Station. Value for money!

Fantastic place I could not recommend more to People. It's the perfect distance from the centre of Milan where its only a few train stops and you are not in the middle of the chaos. Beautiful hotel, facilities and room and great service from the Staff. We were very comfortable here and it really added to our stay in Milan.

Our room was too small for two adults with two large suitcases which is the only criticism, this place is fantastic otherwise.

Stylish hotel, great decor. Ease of location to Milan Central Train Station and access to the city. Staff were friendly and efficient. Highly recommend and would stay again. Photo booth in reception is a great idea and was a big hit with my children!

Better sound proofing in bedrooms. Very noisy and could hear TV's and conversations from adjoining rooms. Not because they were noisy just poor sound proofing.
