Hotel Cavour

We loved our stay at Hotel Cavour. The position is walking distance to Duomo and MM Turati. The reception - which was highly criticized in other reviews - is indeed very old fashion but in a lovely stylish way. Much more better than modern aseptic hotels. The room on the other side was full of all comforts: lights, plugs, minibar, safe, slippers, amazing shower. Bed was comfortable, room was quiet. The personnel at the reception, in particular the young lady who welcomed us at arrival, was very kind. Room was spotless clean and my husband enjoyed the bar.

Our stay was perfect and we would consider staying there again. We stayed only one night, so space wise it was fine, but if you stay more nights, you need a bigger room than ours, as the wardrobe was a bit on the tiny side. Also, if you use the massage function of the shower, water will overflow in the bathroom. It is a pity.

Good room. Quiet and clean. Easy access to the city centre. The bar was very convenient for us to enjoy and had good opening times. Buffet breakfast with access to the garden and relaxed. Service was quick and the scramble eggs very tasty.

No milk in the mini bar. Only one black tea bag per day so had to buy some despite asking for more for the room. English like their tea in the morning. Taxi strike wasn't good and it would have been more efficient if the hotel had more access to private cars. Staff can see when you are leaving and a car should be offered at arrival should it be required for the airport.

Breakfast has quite various fresh fruits and I enjoyed very much. Location is Ok, and hotel staff is nice. Though they couldn't prepare twin beds, they changed right away at the moment of my check-in. I reserved exclusive room but first allocation is not same like picture, however they changed room right away as well. 2 ladies enjoyed to stay 3 night in exclusive room, good space to have big bathroom, closet, table for make-up, small sofa, nice bed.

Break fast restaurant is little small space, if you are with your many family member or wake-up late, you might need to wait for your turn.

The rooms were great, we stayed in two different kinds since we extended our stay. The beds are comfortable and pretty big. Everything was super clean and even had perfume when we came in. They offer two small water bottles and they provide a kettle if you want to make yourself coffee/tea. The staff were all very professional and happy to help with anything you needed, most of them spoke English too. Breakfast was great, varied selection of pastries, eggs, bacon, fruits, juices, etc. It's on the first floor, accesible by stairs. Wifi here was great too, props to their IT team.

The restaurant could maybe use some less "fancy" food, everything was very elaborate and sometimes you just want something simple like a pizza or a burger. The food we tried was good, though a bit pricey.

The location of this hotel was perfect for us. We were within walking distance to the Cathedral and also close enough to other neighborhoods for local dining. This hotel has updated rooms, unfortunately ours was not. The room could have been a little bit bigger for comfort. Overall, we were happy.

Very well located , clean hotel. Beds are very good , breakfast is great , service at the table was very efficient.

The part of the hotel we were in was not renovated like other parts were. Still old style mechanical key with a heavy keyholder. Some other rooms had cards. The bar is ok , but nothing special. Amenities in the bathroom could be better.

Hotel Cavor was a great stay in Milan. Yes hotel is a bit dated but it was clean and had its own character and staff were nice. Rooms were big and clean. Lovely big window to let natural light and air in. Hotel is in a wonderful position we walked from the train station to our accommodation and it wasn't a problem at all. Breakfast was included while it wasn't a huge spread it was more than adequate, all our group had satisfying breakfasts. We were walking distance from many wonderful restaurants, shops and tourist attractions. Would definitely recommend this hotel if staying in Milan.

Even though I chose the hypoallergenic room, the room was dated with dated deco which I did not like too much but was ok. The breakfast was expensive. Deco was dated. The walls were thin you can hear the room next door.

Hotel Cavour was a very professional hotel. As soon as I entered my needs were immediately met by very attentive and caring team and the checkin process was fast and simple. My room exceeded my expectations and was very spacious, the shower, bathroom, bed and desk were all clean and in great condition. They were going to move my room to a smaller one which I prepaid the second night but did not want to inconvenience me and allowed me to stay in the double for the duration of 2 nights. The location of the hotel could not be better- 10-15 min stroll from the centre of Milan with plenty of cafes and shops on the walk to the Domo. When checking out the hotel staff kindly accommodated for my bags and held them for 3-4 hours so I could explore the city before my departure later that day. Can’t recommend highly enough.
