Hotel Esperia

I have stayed in this area many times since my family is from there. The beds in Europe are always too firm for my bad back, so it's not fair to say that they were bad. They just weren't great for me. But I expect this. The hotel was clean, quaint and had a balcony view that was beautiful. Breakfast was super Italian. You are 3 minutes from the ocean and rail station, so getting clean salt air and a timely ride out of the station is great. The staff was, as always, friendly and helpful. The rooms are smaller than other hotels, but very clean and serve the purpose..SLEEP after a long journey. You don't have the issue of constant noise all night like being near the center or near the two main train stations like Principe and Brignole. You can reach Cinque Terre in minutes from Hotel Esperia. In fact, you can easily make day journeys from this location all the way to Pisa. Pisa is a longer day though.

The hotel is a throw away from the beautiful promenade where you can take a long walk while hearing the waves on the rocks. The room was spotlessly clean and very comfortable including the bed. Special thanks to the evening/night receptionist who helped me carry my luggage up in the room since I arrived very late after a long journey driving. My dog also enjoyed his stay. Recommended!

Voltage was very low and I could not manage to charge my mobile but the reception were kind enough to charge it for me. Thank you

Great staff. Breakfast was awesome. The view was gorgeous. And the walk on the promenade by the rocky seashore was amazing, especially at night. Park was just around the corner and my kid loved it.

Parking space was limited, but available. I had to park my car behind another car and leave the keys at the reception in case they needed to move it, which they did twice and as a I had to find it in a different location on the property.

The location was great and the hotel lovely. We were lucky as had a balcony with a beautiful view toward the ocean. The staff were friendly and the breakfast was excellent I thought. I had let them know I was gluten free and both mornings there was a gf basket waiting for me which was excellent as for those who are gf you know the deal of eating little from buffets.

Only thing was the beds were super hard, everything else was fab

The location was perfect as Nervi train station was just around the corner. The staff were very professional and quite warm. Everyone treated the guests warmly and help was available when needed. The dinners were always very tasty and a big “ thank you” to the professionals who served us.

The only thing would be the shower set up as it can be messy if one doesn’t get it right !!

Location was incredible. And so was almost everything else. Personel was friendly and helpful and room was really nice with a great view. Also I liked choice of breakfest drinks.

Lack of English TV chennels. Breakfest could have been also better. For example there was no porridge of any kind and there was lack of warm breakfest foods like saugages or omlett or anyting like that.

We stayed only one night at the hotel, as a stop in Genova en route to Cinque Terre. Esperia was a very good choice! Although it is a bit out of Genova centre, the area is very nice and quiet (in April, I dont know about other times). There is also a superb seaside promenade very close. I think it was a better choice than Genova centre. Staff was very helpful, room clean, breakfast good, view beautiful.

Parking space seemed to be a little bit tight. We took the last post with our small 500, and just fit :)

Location, rooms and general ambience.

Unable to book a table for dinner. Frustrating since we were not advised we had to book when we arrived at 1500hrs. Then at 1700hrs ....restaurant was full... Parking very restricted.

it is good hotel in respect to its 3 stars, with an amazing location (especially if you have a balcony with a sea view) close to everything you may need at Nervi.

i was missing a mini-fridge in the room to keep cold water during the hot days. Also keep in mind that a free access to the hotel is limited after the midnight (the reception and entrance to the hotel is closed during the night and any service is available after the phone call to the receptionist)

I loved the location, so close to the sea and train. Supermarket is just 5 min away. Very private and clean little hotel. I felt very good. Staff was also very friendly.I am going to return there for 100% I loved my stay in Esperia.
