Astro Suite Hotel

The Astro Suite Hotel and the time we spent in Cefalu was the only sweet and enjoyable part of our 10 days long travel to Sicily. We had 4 legs in our entire travel to Sicily 2 nights of which we spent in Cefalu. The location of the facility is excellent right at the beach front. The hotel provides you with umbrella and beach chairs and beach towels so you do not need to pay for them to the beach clubs (otherwise the cost for two sunbed and one umbrella vary between 35 - 45 euro). It is also very close to the old town where you can enjoy the restaurants and also sightseeing. The room's size is excellent and is composed of two separate parts. One part has a double bed whereas the other there is a small kitchen and a sofa bed and a big balcony where you can enjoy the sun set. As a family with child we really enjoyed the comfort of having a kitchen while heating the food for the kid as it has an stew and a microwawe. The bathroom was clean and user friendly. The pool is big enough with enough sun beds. There are two whirl pools a cherry on the top of cream. Luca from the front desk was exceptionally nice and helpful ! His friendliness and commitment made our days indeed ! In general for those traveling to Sicily we definitely recommend to spend as many days as possible in Cefalu instaead of Giardini Naxos Taormino etc. as the town itsself is very well maintained and clean (the hygine problems that we faced in Palermo and Catania was not the case in Cefalu). Astro Suite hotel has a secured parking lot which constitutes another positive aspect for those traveling with rental cars. In brief we really enjoyed our stay there with many thanks to Luca and all other personnel !

We faced nothing that bothered us.

Excellent location 5 mins walk from the old town and across the road from a beautiful sandy beach. Room was very clean, and cleaned daily with fresh towels. Views were stunning over the sea and La Rocca. Room was well equipped for self-catering, and was a good size for a family of 4 people. Beds were comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful. Pool was pleasant although too cold in April.

Thought the breakfast was overpriced at 10 euros for adults and no discount for children, which would have been 40 euros per day for the 4 of us. They did offer us a discounted rate for the children because of a mix up in the booking, but we decided to head out for breakfast and found that we could all eat pastries/cannoli and have drinks for around 20 euros in total which was a significant saving.

The Hotel is in an excellent location across the road from the beautiful sandy beach and a short walk from Cefalù centre. The suite was very big (travelled with 2 children) and it was great to have the kitchen and the fridge. Balcony was lovely overlooking the pool and beach. Everything was very clean and a lot of effort is being put into cleaning the pool daily and the grounds. Breakfast buffet was a good selection with daily fresh crossaints. We ate outside every day which was lovely. You get free beach towels and a discount on loungers on the beach across the road. The Hotel also provides umbrellas for the beach should you wish to use the open beach areas. The beach long, sandy and very clean. Shops including a supermarket are very close by, the Hotel next door has a lovely café and ice creams. Tons of excellent restaurants and the old town are a 5-10min walk away. The pool is small and not very deep but perfect for swimming with children and relaxing. Special mention to the young gentleman at reception who was very helpful and friendly at all times and gave us some good recommendations.

We paid city tax on the evening before check-out and when we checked out the early the next day we were asked to pay it again. The lady at reception didn’t seem to believe we paid it and was very unfriendly. Left a sour taste at the end of an otherwise great holiday.

The hotel receptionist, Luca, is amazing!!! He was so welcoming and friendly and made me feel right at home! He pointed out all the tourist spots I should check out as well as restaurant recommendations. He gladly took my calls when I wanted additional information. I will definitely recommend this hotel to family and friends and will be returning soon! My room was bigger than expected with a full kitchen, gorgeous bathroom, super bedroom, and beautiful view of the beach and sunset! Thank you so much!

Staff were very friendly and helpful. We had no air conditioning initially, but the staff soon sorted it for us. It was a spacious apartment with a balcony at the front and back. Kept very clean. We thought there would just be a hot tub on site, but there was a swimming pool aswell, which was a bonus (despite water being very cold due to time of year) Location was excellent, right across the road from the beach, and a 5 minute walk to lots of restaurants and the old town of Cefalù.

Everything about this property exceeded our expectations. The room sizes were great, it had everything we needed, the sitting room with a mini kitchenette and all the things you would expect a kitchen to have. The staff were great from the moment we got to the gate. The proximity to the beach gave a perfect early morning walk on the beach before the crowds descended.

Absolutely nothing .

Breakfast was fabulous - so much choice and all very fresh. A lovely family feel and so friendly. We loved it!! From what I could gather it is one of the few hotels with a private pool and this really added to our stay. Also, it's literally across the road from a great beach

Kind and helpful staff. Very nice size suites composed of living room/kitchen, bathroom and bedroom with nice terrace. The free WiFi worked well. Beach is in front to the hotel, across the street. Great location because it is five minutes walk from the center of the city.

Parking is in the back of the hotel and it would have been nice to receive instruction at the time of reservation on how to get there directly. Breakfasts lacked scrambled eggs and bacon. The suite was overlooking the pool which took away our privacy and made it quite noisy during the day. They seem to have parking problems when the hotel is full.

The apartment was well designed and spotlessly clean it suited our needs, The location is excellent, just across the road from the sea and a short walk to an excellent array of restaurants.

If ther had been clothes washing facilities available on the premises

Family of for with kids 8 and 11. Perfect for us. Kids were fine with the sofa bid all- perfect with the small kitchen and the balcony 5 min walk to the centre. Fantastic. Great to have underground parking.

We were there in April and the weather was mixed so we didn’t use the pool - it looked a bit smaller than I expected.
