Hotel Gorizia

The location is fabulous. A 20 minute walk from the main train station - easy and flat. It's in a quiet street but one block away from the main square in the old city. Around the corner from the famous fish market and incredible food area. The room.was large, clean, functional and quiet. The staff were considerate and professional. A great place to stay in Catania.

There is no lift and the staircase has very steep marble steps. - about 17. Thankfully the lovely staff took our bags up and down for us.

the property is 30 seconds away from the centre, you are basically in the heart of catania. it was really easy to visit everything because everything starts from that centre. near you it’s the fish market (3 minutes away), cathedral of Agatha (30 seconds away) and so on. there is plenty of restaurants near the location and also shops. The person that welcomed us was really nice and he offered us tips for the place. We arrived earlier but he was great and said everything is fine. the room is big, it’s exactly like in the picture and has tv, air conditioning, big windows, big bathroom, clean sheets and towels. The room was cleaned every day. it worth definitely the money and we do recommend it to any couple.

The hotel it’s a 2 star one, so the appearance it could be improved a little bit. also the bathroom could be a little bit more cleaner (the toilet is a little bit old and gray), but overall it was a great choice if you are not a really picky person and you appreciate a great position and a clean bed

Fantastic location, really close to the Cathedral Square, Greek theatre and other interesting sights. There are lots of restaurants within a 10 minute walk. The street looks a little run down but we felt very safe and it was quiet. Our room was large and the bed was comfortable. This is a budget hotel, so don't expect great luxury; it has everything you need for a short break including toiletries, lots of towels and a good shower. A great choice if you basically need somewhere to sleep and you're out exploring during the day.

Extremely good location one minute from the main Piazza. A few minutes from the bus station and the fish market. We had a really incredible room with very high ceiling reminiscent of an old Italian palazzo. The room was freshly refurbished. It was noisy outside as it is so central but the room itself was relatively quiet as well sound proofed with windows closed. We found it overall good value for money and deserving its 2 stars.

Very great location close to dozens of restaurants, museums and tourist sites. Couldn't be better located. Room was large and the amenities in the room functioned as expected.

Not much of a view from the room and being close to all the restaurants meant it could be a little noisy. Room is as advertised - better like loud colours!

very friendly and helpful host. Nice rooms - very clean, it is in a side narrow road and as silent as can be near the center. One of the best positions one can think of. Breakfast in Cafe Bellini in Via Giuseppe Garibaldi- just superb and very friendly people too. I was here for work but had a holiday included.

For me everything was just great- one thing for other guestes- in older type of houses even 2nd floor has many stairs. This should be kept in mind for elderly or disabled people.

the hotel was very close to the city centre. room was really big, the bathroom clean and towels were changed every day. room was also cleaned everyday and the common area was spotless.

I would have enjoyed it if the hotel had a lift as there were 52 steps to the reception which was a lot to walk up with heavy shopping bags and luggage but nothing too bad

Great central location, nice big room. Excellent Wi-Fi and air conditioning. Very good shower and hot water.

No lift for cases. No reception as such but we could get hold of Salvo by phone and he was friendly and helpful.

Great location, very helpful staff, total adequate room. They did my perdí al laundry for 5 euros and provided transportation to the airport for 30 euros.

The staff was very helpful. Very good hotel for the money and surprisingly quiet for being only a few yards away from the Duomo and markets. Short walk to airport bus.

There are stairs to the second floor and it would have been nice to have a cup coffee while waking up.
