Palazzo di Varignana

Absolutely spectacular. Second time I went to Varignana as a guest, after visiting it some times making wedding videos. The experience of staying there is phenomenal. The beauty of the place, all the green scenery, the number of gorgeous outdoor pools and the spa being included is incredible. All the structure is very well taken care of, and all the staff super helpful and kind. Breakfast's got infinite options of salty and sweet things and a beautiful view. The room had plenty of space, comfy bed and great shower. I would like to thank again for the gentle treatment during check in, going out of their way to find a room that had a nice view, as it was a special occasion. Definitely going back and highly recommended.

It was absolutely 10/10. Only thing I can imagine someone could argue is that some rooms have different views but are priced the same, hence different value. Also it's 30 min away from city center if you intend to visit it also, easy drive just gotta plan according to traffic. So if you ask first and plan well these won't affect you.

The view is breathtaking, all around. The buildings are uniformely spread out so that you have the impression of space but also intimacy. The swimming pools are world class, especially the more remote ones. The gardens and the plants and greenary are superb, like a botanical exhibition. The food at Grifon is rather good, with excellent dishes.

I suggest giving up the payment of extras at breakfast, such as omlette or centrifuga: seems really cheap. Also, the dinning at Griffon in the tent is unfortunate: when there is the wonderful house with museum level decoration and furniture, sitting under cheap white wrinkled bed sheets like tissue with stadium lighting is not the best idea.

Absolutely stunning location, beautifully located in the suburbs of Bologna, a place to rest, detox and recharge. Superbly well maintained Resort, clean, neat and chic! The pools are super clean and the resting chairs are in mint condition! The restaurants are of very good quality - even if overpriced for this region.

The hygiene articles provided are of low quality, the toilet paper was empty when we arrived and the room was only cleaned on request.

obbligation to wear swimming suit in sauna; I would appreciate minimum one extra large linen sheet for use in sauna (just one frotté towel for the whole stay in wellness area is not sufficient)

It would have been great if the restaurants offered more healthy options like salads and vegetarian dishes, and for thr buffet breakfast if there were more options like pancakes, French toast and waffles as well as a cooking station that could make fresh omelettes, poached eggs etc Finally it would be great if there were cold water fountains in each building/floor where guests could get fresh chilled water

we loved the nature setup of the resort, beautiful and peacefull, had amazing morning walks, loved the restaurant Le Marzocco, best food and value. spa was great but no kids allowed in the best pool. summer would feel more complete as now some facilities were closed. we loved the room with the patio.

very tiny thing, maybe the least i liked was the breakfast restaurant. the food was great, just the setup was not my favorite.

This property is absolutely spotless! It is modern with an authentic Italian twist! The bedroom had a lovely ambiance and the bathrobe/slippers were a lovely extra touch! Every meal was absolutely gorgeous, you could tell how fresh the food from the garden was! Especially the vegetables and the olive oil, nicest I have ever tasted! The spa area was stunning and had amazing facilities! The only thing I felt it was missing was a hot jaquzzi, instead of just warm. Although some pools were closed as I did not visit the property during the summer months. The hotel was very Covid conscious, making it feel very safe. The grounds are phenomenal, with gorgeous walks and the bikes were a lovely addition too! I would definitely recommend and I was 100% make the journey back from Ireland again very soon!

Everything about this property exceeded my expectations.

I knew the facilities were amazing, as I had been before to Varignana to film a wedding. But as a guest, I have no words to describe how extremely helpful and amazing everyone was with us. From booking our spa session in the morning before check-in, so we could enjoy the whole day there, to paying attention to my type of room request, to every single small detail. The Spa is amazing, and being included in the day rate of the room is such a treat. The outdoor pools are great, and we even had one infinity pool in front of our room with an impossible to describe landscape at sunset. For anyone this place is a dream, but for a photographer even more. Breakfast is massive and delicious, parking is easy, location is gorgeous, and now I'm hoping to come back soon to enjoy everything that I missed, as it's impossible to do it all in a single day. Thanks everyone!

Mostly when I heard about Varignana, the only negative comments were the price, declared as "expensive". It's not the usual hotel, and expensive is something that is not worth the price. With everything that is included in their daily rate, room, spa, view, swimming pools, outdoor walks, restaurant availability, bars and treatment, I have to say that it's really fair and so, I've really got nothing negative to comment about it.

Everything about our experience was wonderful. Palazzo di Varignana offers fantastic value for the money. The staff went above and beyond to ensure we had a great stay. Location, property, rooms, spa, restaurants, amenities... everything was top notch. Staying here was the highlight of our honeymoon.

Pools, spa, padel and tennis. The Degustation evening was in the most incredible setting. Restaurant by the pool was excellent. Everything about this place was fantastic.

Not much available for lunch. It was sandwiches and crisps by the pool. Pool menu would be great if it had salads, seafood etc.
