Savoia Hotel Country House Bologna

The hotel is out of town, but I was there for a conference and therefore it was convenient. The staff was great and everything was clean. Comfy beds.

Some nights noise from loud people in the other room penetrated ours. The breakfast and pool are in the nextdoor hotel, but that was not a big problem, just a slight inconvenience, and if I had known, I would opt to stay in the Savoya Hotel instead of the country house. Our room was pretty dark during the day, and my partner didn't like working from there, but she found reasonable tables at the hotel lobby. After a week, I got tried of the same breakfast :)

It was nice to be out of the city centre in the very lovely setting of the country house hotel and the buses to the centre are just outside and frequent. The grounds are beautiful and the Regency hotel across the road where breakfast is served and the pool area is located is far better in reality than it appears in the pictures on booking.com. Our room was huge and beautifully cool. Breakfast is really nice and even the bacon is good. The staff are friendly and knowledgable and speak perfect english. Everything is very clean There is free wifi also. Taxis are fairly cheap. You might want to know that buses take a different route inside the city at weekends than in the week and taxis are difficult to find at weekends as they also are restricted in the city cent.re at weekends.

I would have liked a bath.

Lovely room. Friendly and helpful reception staff. Lovely breakfast up at the Regency Savoia hotel a short walk away, though in terms of atmosphere for somewhere to stay, I much preferred the less formal feel of Country House. Close to buses into the Centre of Bologna - about a 15-20 minute journey. Cost me Euro13 for a taxi from Bologna train station to the hotel, which I shared with 2 others going to different places. Bus would have been fine but I took a taxi because there was a demo in town the day I arrived which disrupted buses.

Having to suffer musak at the Regency Savoia, over breakfast and during any other visit to it. Pity the swimming pool at the Regency wasn't open in April.

The was a great size, very clean and very comfortable. The furnishings were good, with a large flat-screen TV and nice ambient lighting. The location is very convenient, being just off the autostrade and with ample parking. There is a bus stop 2 minutes walk away, and you are in the centre of Bologna in around 10-15 minutes. The staff were friendly and helpful. We had use of the pool in the Regency across the road. We didn't use it but it looked very clean and pleasant. Breakfast was served in the Regency. Lovely surroundings. Very good breakfast buffet - good variety and kept well stocked.

We were a little disappointed in the hotel's restaurant. The service was excellent and the setting beautiful, but the food did not live up to our expectations. The pasta dishes were very good, but the cotoletta was overdone and the scallops were bland.

A very good location for visiting Bologna. The restaurant, bar and swimming pool were all very good. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious.

Slightly misleading on how far we had to walk from Savoia Country House to the main hotel for meals and the pool, especially as one of our party had recently broken her toe. It would have been nice to get light refreshments at our part of the hotel, but not even tea and coffee were available. The beds were a little on the firm side and the air conditioning was temperamental.

The room was small and compact, but very nice. It was cleaned each and the facilties were good. The pool area was excellent, lots of sun loungers, super clean and a perfect size pool to relax and cool off in. The buffet breakfast was fantastic!!!! Everything was fresh and there was a great choice...and the best coffee too. There was a bus stop practically outside the hotel which was great - just 20 minutes into the centre of town. Very quiet and safe area.

The bathroom was a little cramped and we did trip over the toilet a few times getting in and out of the shower. Nothing major but it may cause an issue for someone older or less able.

Plenty parking included. Hotel a few km outside Bologna but bus easy to centre. Drove to outskirts of Florence for day trip and took tram in to centre. Hotel was a refreshing break from busy city centres. Plenty seating round pool and bar area. Several families who were enjoying the pool. Breakfast choice good. Ate one night in the restaurant which was very good and reasonable.

Room was small. Very little hanging space and no wardrobe (no room!). Bed against the wall on one side so had to climb over to get out! Ok for a night or two but longer would have been challenging.

Loved Everything!!!! The staff on reception were fantastic with great information to enable us to take a bus into Bologna instead of driving our car. Also requested extra pillows to our room, which came within 10 minutes of our request. The room was clean and ideal for our 2 night stay. We ate in the hotel restaurant both nights, highly recommend eating here instead of going out of the hotel, truly amazing food and service. The breakfast plentiful, an array of eats, cheeses, fruit, cakes, croissants, toast, pot of tea, coffee. The beach cafe was a wonderful place to chill after a day of sight seeing. All staff were attentive and friendly. Highly recommend this hotel.

There were no tea/coffee facilties in room, we had a mini bar which was fantastic but I love a hot drink.

Very nice and helpfull stuff. They upgraded our room to a bigger one on the ground floor without any request from us. The beds were comfortable and the nights quiet. Good breakfast in the neighbor hotel- Savoia regency (3 min walk). 15 min drive with a bus (number 20) to the center of Bologna, station located 2 min walk from the hotel. One of the evenings we ate dinner in the restaurant of Savoia regency (Garganely) and it was delicius, with good service.

The pool that is located also in the Savoia regency is not big and though sometimes crowded.
