Hotel Bologna Fiera

It was close to the conference venue I was attending and it was fantastic to finally be in a hotel that understood travellers needs. After two harrowing experiences with self-check in apartments that didn't understand travellers needs, this hotel was most welcome. Breakfast was great and the reception staff overall were helpful and welcoming.

The hotel phone didn't work the whole time and despite letting reception know, no-one came to fix it. I had calls to make and couldn't because of it. I was told to use the phone in the bathroom, not that comfortable and couldn't dial an outside line. The air conditioning turned off at some point and despite inserting the key activator for the lights and air con, it wouldn't kick in. I had to get stroppy with reception to have them believe me it wasn't working, they then sent someone up and it seems it had been clicked back on by reception and their computer system in the meantime.

Everything was great, the bathroom has a bidet; Beds were comfortable; Noise level was low, had no trouble sleeping. The breakfast was good, enough variety, you can order ice cafe/cappuccinos ... they had multiple types of croissants

All lights turn on when you come back to the room. There is only one restaurant around the hotel, so, if you want to try different things, you have to go to the city center, but that's 15 minutes by bus, or 25 minutes walking (which is what we did)

The breakfast had a lot of options, sweet and also salty food, some vegan choices too. Coffee was great and the personnel prompt and welcoming. Cosy room and the fact that the area is very quiet is a plus. There are also some restaurants nearby and a market. We took the bus to the centre. You have to walk 10 minutes to the bus station and go 10 minutes more with it.

When we arrived, the door of the room was dirty. There was hair in the bathroom and the hairdryer suffered some kind of accident, was very sticky and full of hair, I could not use it. The cleaning was good in the next days of our stay. The ventilation was noisy but we figured out how to turn it off.

The hotel was really nice, pleasant foyer, easy check in, the room was modern and clean and well thought out. It was a large room with an excellent shower and great toiletries, this was as expected for a 4 star hotel. The Air con worked (given it was end of October this was fantastic as I often find in Europe out of season air con is not available so the room is too hot). the breakfast in particular was very good with a wide selection, great coffee and sitting outside was a pleasure.

The price was very steep for the location. This was over £240 for 1 night and it was outside the city walls and you needed to take a taxi into the center. It was a nice place but very expensive.

Just had 1 night here, but was happy with the stay. The room was large and spacious and the breakfast spread was varied, especially for Italian standards. There was an extra charge for fried eggs/bacon etc, however there were plenty of other great foods to enjoy that you don't feel like you needed them. Lots of restaurants in walking distance and took a bicycle to get into the centre of Bologna which was a great way to explore. Good parking in the hotel.

The receptionist was friendly, kind and extremely helpful with any request. The rooms were clean and spacious, and the bed was comfy. Me and my family travelled by car and parking was available at the property. We were in Bologna for my graduation and the location was convenient to reach the university department by car (only a 10 minute drive). Breakfast was also good. Overall we really enjoyed our stay.

Breakfast was amazing, included a few English breakfast options e.g. eggs and bacon, whilst also keeping a few traditional Italian options like pastries and cakes. Location wasn't as out of town as I thought, about 2.2km from central station with several bus routes/options

The gym wasn't open. Possibly if I had asked they could have unlocked it with a key, but I didn't appreciate how inaccessible it was

The best thing is a walking distance to the Bologna fair. The premises are clean. The room is spacious and the bed is comfortable. I missed the hair conditioner in the bathroom. That's all that I can complain about.

Internet was a little bit slow on the fifth floor. It may be faster on lower floors - I didn't check. And I cannot say anything bad about this hotel, so it is rather difficult to write bad things if there are none.

Staff members, hotel looks incredible and is super clean and nice, loved the breakfast and i felt really safe there. I would highly recommend it to everyone

it is a bit far away from the city centre, if you're taking trains, from the station its 30 minutes walk but with a bus its a bit closer, if you figure out which bus stop is yours, because generally in Bologna public transportation confused me
