Goya Boutique Resort

Loved everything about our stay at Goya Boutique Resort! The staff were so lovely, the rooms are large and well appointed and the pool/pool area has amazing views. Breakfast each morning was excellent and there was a large selection to choose from. As we were on our honeymoon, the Goya staff also arranged a cake and some cute decorations in our room. The shuttle service into the main street was also helpful but you can also easily walk there. As this was our first stop in Bali we had arranged an airport pick up through Goya, the driver was friendly, the car extremely clean and the sign with our name on it was clear and easy to spot in a sea of drivers with signs at airport arrivals. We would definitely stay here again!

We stayed in the Deluxe Suite and it was a fabulous room with balcony. The room had a big bathroom with bathtub and spacious rain shower. The details in all areas of the room/bathroom with the provided amenities were wonderful. The design and of the room and tasteful interior was lovely and we felt immediately at home. Plenty of space to put your things. We loved the very comfortable and huge bed. The smart TV was a nice distraction to help relax in the room. The breakfast was ala' carte which we definitely preferred to a buffet style arrangement. The breakfast selection was great and I am sure for everybody to find something on the menu with more than decent portions. This is a 'small' boutique hotel, however the arrangement made it feel very cozy with enough space. The arrangement of the entrance (lovely) and the different buildings with the green vegetation was well thought through and displayed a very welcoming, collected slightly tropical feeling. The infinity pool and bar area was very nice, again not to small and not to big - just right for our taste. The massage offer inside the hotel was first class and worth trying. The friendliness, professionalism and just outstanding accommodating of every single request from our side was unbelievable. A kind of Balinese kindness and distinctness in organizing our needs for sightseeing, transport, direction giving, housekeeping, cuisine, or just asking for the right way, which we haven't seen often. Just as an example: we were at the monkey forest and luckily at the end of our tour it started pouring down rain. We called the hotel to pick us up, which they immediately confirmed. Due to unknown reasons the car and us missed each other. Not a big issue for us.

There is nothing we did not like. We entirely enjoyed our stay of 6/7 nights from start to end.

The only minus is the food. We expected a much more refined and tasty cooking.

This is the most amazing hotel and I would thoroughly recommend it to anyone looking for a warm, friendly welcome and fantastic views of the rain forest. We stayed here for 4 days in early May 2023 and had the most amazing time. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful and work hard to make everything perfect. The rooms are well laid out with very large beds and great bathrooms. We had arranged to be picked up from the airport and this worked seamlessly, it’s about a 2 hour drive to the hotel so I’d recommend going with the hotel pick rather than a local taxi. The hotel is just far enough away to be an oasis of peace but close enough to the town of Ubud for an easy walk. Also pretty close (about a 15 minute walk) to the Monkey Forest, take cash to buy a monkey selfie inside the forest. We used the spa one day and the treatments are fabulous and very relaxing. We also ate at the hotel; the breakfast is cooked fresh from an a la carte menu. We had dinner a couple of times and the meals were superb and similar in price to the local restaurants. The infinity pool is also superb for relaxing in and the views over the side towards the forest are breathtaking. We also arranged a full day tour with the hotel to visit local rice terraces, temples and a coffee plantation. We were able to create the itinerary that we wanted with the hotel and this was very good value compared to what was on offer outside. As with everything else the service over the day was excellent. All in all a fantastic experience and we’d like to thank the staff for making it so special.

The room was spacious and very clean, with all of the amenities you would need. The staff were amazing throughout our stay and went above and beyond. Very relaxing overall.

The outdoor area was a little bit small but well maintained and had some beautiful views.

We loved our stay at the Goya boutique hotel. The staff were absolutely brilliant and gave a very personal service from our pick up at the airport to providing a take away breakfast when we left. The place is kept meticulously clean and the gardens were beautiful. We loved chilling round the pool and the food especially breakfast was delicious. We booked a couples massage too while there. The location was perfect near the bars and restaurants and walking distance to the monkey forest.

The place was perfect the only thing was that one of the pools and pool beds were not open due to maintenance but there was enough beds.

The staff, the view and food was incredible. We really enjoyed the barbecue night and that the hotel was in a wonderful position for exploring Ubud. The staff were extremely kind and attentive. We ate at the hotel both nights and both times the food was exceptional, so was our breakfast. We loved our stay at Goya!

The only thing that surprised me was that our room was in a block of rooms whereas I thought from the photos it would be on the ground floor. However the view was stunning and the room was very lovely.

This property is simply amazing! From the delicious welcome drink to the huge rooms and bathrooms, to the most beautiful pool area we have seen so far in Bali and exceptional breakfast served there....everyone and everything is just perfect! The view from the pool is beautiful overlooking the lush forest. The breakfast selection is great. We loved the smoothie bowls and their coffee. You can find many small restaurants and boutique shops as well as coffee shops, just a few steps away from the resort. Definitely a must come back!

Staff really lovely, resort itself lovely and relaxing, infinity pool with good views to the forest and hills. Breakfast great and staff very attentive at all times. Rooms really large, modern bathroom and big balcony with comfortable seating and coffee table. afternoon tea provided with little cakes/sandwiches etc - selection changed each day - this was a lovely touch. Hotel also has a shuttle service to take you into the main town area if required which was much appreciated on the warm humid days

There wasn't enough shade for the sun loungers to stop the sun, in the afternoon the sun was directly in front. There were brollys beside some beds but they couldn't provide the shade required plus min blew away and there is a really great breeze at the pool area. Perhaps some permanent sails across the sun bed area would give some better shade overall.

The room was just exceptional. It was Deluxe. To be honest, it was super deluxe! The bed was getting made a few times per day. Always clean towels if you need. All stuff for bathroom: bath gel, shampoo, conditioner, body lotion, even bath bubble- great quality! The pool is great! You are enjoying jungles view while swimming, very calming effect on your soul :) Staff who work there: exceptional, so friendly and hospitable. I booked a driver from Goya to bring me around for a tour: it was exceptional! he was super patient, taking lots of picture for me and being a great guide, providing with so many information! Unfortunately, do not remember his name. Breakfasts are another exceptional thing. It was just masterpiece! So delicious and fresh! Staff welcome you in the morning and you feel like being taken care of like you are a baby :) Definitely will come back there! :) P. S. Walking distance to main attractions: Ubud Palace, Monkey Forests, Temples, Ridge Walk and so many more!!!!
