Bucu View Resort

The view was what we expected it to be .Lovely looking over the valley, hearing the sound of running water, squirrels and lots of frogs to be seen. We wanted something peaceful and quiet yet relatively close to Ubud centre which Bucu View is. Some nice bars down the road with reasonable bands, a good down home warung "Warung Ning"(definitely worth a visit) and the usual assortment of restaurant's, spa/massage and shops. Reception staff ,Okta, Jodi, Juni and all others helpful, polite and welcoming. The inhouse masseurs Aryu and Eluh were exceptional and we highly recommend them.

Stairs! Unfortunately the amount of stairs to get to the Valley View rooms was not mentioned on the website. If you have any issues with knee's, hips, ankles etc then this will not be comfortable. Stairs are poorly lit and no hand rails(not uncommon in Bali).A couple of maintenance issues-room safe was not bolted to the wall and sliding doors to patio area lacked a key for the lock. It had a latch but this is not really sufficient for security.. The road leading into the resort is undergoing repairs and building construction. It is poorly lit and alot of potholes. This is obviously not Bucu's fault nevertheless it is something to be aware of.

We booked this hotel last minute due to a flight delay and having to check out of our accommodation elsewhere. The staff were incredibly warm and helpful, the price was very reasonable, they made us feel so welcome. We ate in their lovely open air restaurant overlooking stunning views of the jungle and a beautiful infinity pool - such a peaceful vibe. The rooms are fairly basic but clean and provided all that we needed - ours also had a small verandah. The location is great, very central - but be warned there is a steep hill to reach the hotel and a lot of people (including us) get the two Bucu's mixed up (they are right near one another). Regardless, the staff from both hotels were very helpful in getting us and our luggage up the hill (they are only a minute's walk away from one another). Access for vans is tricky, but again the staff were super helpful at our pick up time and spoke to the driver for us to explain the location and access. None of it was hard and I would highly recommend this quite little gem - pool is amazing, staff are beautiful and we'd love to go back some day. If you are someone who needs to consider accessibility issues then this may not be the hotel for you but I am sure if you mentioned this to staff ahead of time they'd do their very best to help.

We stayed 3 days at the pool villa and 3 days in the deluxe room. In general the hotel view and the pool are amazing. The working stuff is also really kind and helpful, also special thanks to the manager. The breakfast was ok, could be approved a little bit.

The rooms are tidied up but not cleaned every time. Also in general cleaning should be better at the resort. The path from the main road to the hotel is very dark and there is confusion on the way. In the evening it is very unpleasant. For those who are afraid of some small animals like geckos and frogs thing about staying here, cause sometimes you will welcome them at your room :)

We are in Bali for the first time and Bucu View Resort appeared to be better than expected. If you enjoy nature, then here you will have a lot of greenery. All photos attached are from the hotel's location. In order to get to the hotel, you have to turn to narrow road with Bucu View sign on it. Our driver was afraid that he won't be able to turn around. Although when you go downhill and keep left, then you finally arrive at the spacious enough parking. Wifi is working well in the room and in the restaurant/pool area. Staff People working here left warm feeling, they are very friendly, polite and caring. Territory The hotel is located just at the edge of the jungle forest with river seen far downhill. The territory is not big yet well looked after, there are many flowers, palms and trees. There is a stairs starting from the pool area with Holy spring water sign. You go downstairs and get to the little jungle pathwalk leading to the spring water with several great photo spots. Don't miss this hidden place. There are a couple of ponds with colourful fishes. Pool The pool is clean and beautiful. Water temperature is cool yet comfortable during the day. It is easy to order drinks like fresh juices, coctails and food delivered to the pool. The scenery at the pool is fabulous, great photos are guaranteed. Restaurant The tables are under one roof of open terrace, you can enjoy eating while looking at the jungle or pool area. The breakfast can be chosen from 3 options, each of them include fresh juice and tea/coffee. Bali coffee is freshly made, delightful. Restaurant menu is rather limited, though the quality is good. Orders can be delivered to the room. Room We booked the basic version - deluxe double room with garden view number 302 and it was comfortable enough for the price. The balcony view was awesome. The room service was nice.

One suggestion for the restaurant service is that the empty plates/cups/glasses on most days were rarely taken away (collected). But it may be because the staff wants to give you more privacy.

Bucu view is definitely a hidden treasure the 3 tier infinity pool overlooking the forest is absolutely beautiful. Friendly staff and we'll kept rooms reasonable priced.

The only constructive criticism I would make is the lack of seating by the pool. There were only 6 lounge chairs without padding which often left guests without anywhere to sit. There is sufficient area for an increase

What an amazing place, the garden views into the rainforest were breathtaking. The staff were very helpful and friendly, we will defo go back to Bucu view x

not enough sunbeds for all the guest, was not a big issue (since the pool and the view is amazing!) but just a small remark.

Everything was great. Really beautiful resort tucked away in a corner of the busy ubud. About a 15min walk to the ubud palace. Very central for such a quiet oasis. Our private pool was wonderful but the main pool was also beautiful with lots of shade. Lovely jungle surroundings and immaculately kept gardens and rooms for the resort going tourist.

The included breakfast isn't anything to write home about. But it's convenient at least. The lunch and dinner menu is also average. But there are plenty of other restaurants in the area though for variety. The ShamanaMama restaurant which is literally the first restaurant on the main road has a great varied menu with fresh ingredients.

we booked a honeymoon package and we enjoyed a lot our stay at bucu view: - the staff was the perfect part, they are very kind , lovely and helpful.. many thanks to Moustika for the candle dinner he was very professional - Quiet location in the middle on jungle - nice room and pool. the decoration with flowers was wonderful - food is delicious and floating breakfast was amazing

- few choices in breakfast - a lot of mosquitos ,we found lizards and frogs fast every day either inside the room or in the pool terrace which is uncomfortable and unacceptable for me - the entrance to the hotel is very dark and difficult you can’t walk easily to the hotel from from the main road
