Hotel Civitas

It was easy to find the hotel walking from the stations, it took only about 10 minutes walk or so. this was quite nice as an introductory sightseeing of the place. The hotel is near the centre of the city, just a three minutes walk to the old town. We very much appreciated the size of the room. It was spacious, comfortable double bed, spacious shower, which is always a bonus when you are tall. The hotel was clean throughout, they were taking continuous care of that. The breakfast was ample and varied, and the kitchen staff were exceptionally kind and helpful. All the staff were very kind, helpful and smily!

Loved the warm welcome from reception, spacious room with comfortable beds, smelt lovely too, great selection at breakfast served by cheerful restaurant staff, great price and also close to town centre and railway station

Just the fridge was not working

Great location, very closed from restaurants and the main square. Very spacious and lovely room, equiped by waters and tea and coffee... Nice staff, very helpful. No problem to park bycicles. One of the best hotels in Hungary. Ver clean, everything new and nice....thank you

great location (within walking distance from city center), private parking available, spacious, clean and modern rooms, breakfast included (fresh and good), as well as water and coffee in the room, balcony, smart TV (there were actually 2, one in each room), very good value for money

I actually stayed in their other hotel in the city, Hotel Palatinus, because I received a message the day of my arrival that the Civitas had heating trouble. However I was given the same type of accommodation. The room was nice, recently refurbished. Parking on site in secure location. Breakfast was good.

Nothing to complain about.

The staff was very polite and friendliness. The breakfast was good enough but same on every morning. The location is perfect, this is the best in this hotel.

Strange smell in the bathroom. Breakfast was same on 2 morning.

The room seemed renewed and very clean. Excellent facilities including a cofee machine in the room and automatic outside blinds. The breakfast was perfect.

The walls were a bit thin, we could here the neighbours talking.

this is just a simple hotel, there is nothing 'Boutique' here - having siad that, the room is comfortable enough, facilities are ok, breaffast is good, staff are friendly, and the private parking (for a fee) is great.

Good breakfast. Receptionists were nice and helpful.

Wall is very thin, at night we could hear when neighbors were talking. Road to parking area is very narrow.

On the day of arrival and check-in I was told I'd be staying at the palatinus instead because of renovation work. Everything was fine at the palatinus : staff, location, room, all of it. I didn't have to pay surcharge or anything.
