Hotel Philippos

Really clean hotel. The rooms are also clean. Nice mini fridge. Staff is friendly and helps out where they can. It's at the end of the city center, perfect spot.

* No way to keep the bathroom dry when in the shower, no door to close it. * Beds were hard as rocks. Not comfortable at all. * Parking can be quite difficult. There is a parking area really nearby, but almost always full. Best is to wait around on the parking in your car for a parking spot. And you need to buy parkingtickets for every hour at a kiosk. Ask the hotel staff how it works and what times you need to put a ticket in front of your window.

Located in the central area of the city. Great scenery from the balcony, day and night. We found a free parking spot in front of the hotel. The room was well equipped.

The shower did not have a door or curtain and the resulting water was spreading and flooding the area around the toilet. The sink's faucet had the colors (blue/red) reverted for the cold and hot water. The breakfast could be improved with vegetables, fried eggs etc The house situated on the side of the hotel was almost a ruin and had a broken roof which was reducing the beauty of the view.

This is an easy, not fuss hotel located literally 100 meters from the middle of Volos quay. It comes handy for daily excursions or if you need to catch the ferry for the islands. Staff helpful and room clean.

Not much really. I was not sure if there's a handy parking, as I parked in the city when driving in Volos and then not asked the reception. This is a good thing to check as it is down town and parking might be tricky.

We stayed just one night but the place had all the essentials. We were very happy it was pet friendly and we could stay with our small dog. It’s super close to the port which is great as we had to catch an early ferry. Reception was very friendly and helpful : )

Bed and pillows could have been a tiny bit softer, but that’s a personal preference I guess

The room was clean and the small balcony had a nice view. Hotel's location is ideal because it's really close to the city center. Everything available within walking distance.

If you travel by car there is no available private parking. The area around has some options but costs € 0.50 per hour so you cannot just drop it for a whole day.

Perfect for the one night stay we needed! We loved the convenient location because we traveled by ferry the next day. We loved the city view from our balcony, we appreciated the friendliness of the reception staff. The room was renovated and very clean. The beds were very comfortable. The city noise did not bother us because of the double glazed windows & shutters! Above all, they allow pets and it was great we could take our dog with us!

The hotel is conveniently located close to the port (walking distance), city centre and many restaurants/shops. The room was clean, the A/C worked well and our check in was easy. The concierge was helpful with suggestions.

There is a lot of construction surrounding the hotel, so your view may be obscured in some way. This is not the fault of the hotel. Privacy is a bit limited on the balconies.

The hotel had been completely refurbished during lockdown and had been brought up to a very good standard , several leagues above how it was before the pandemic. Any reviews pre 2021 should be disregarded. The breakfast is fairly simple but all you need to put together a sandwich and get a bit of cake to have for breakfast on the 8 a.m. ferry to the Sporades.

The location was just a walk from the Ferry, the hotel was very clean, the sheets were changed each day of our visit, the breakfast was continental but very nice, the staff could not do enough to make the stay as pleasurable as possible and the cost of our stay was very reasonable.

Perfect location, clean room, comfortable bed

The air conditioning is bad placed, facing toward the bed so if it is open during night, you will get a headache. The breakfast is ok, it can be improved. But overall, good value for money
