Hotel Argo

Top location near the ferry port. Small but clean room. The bathroom is very small especially for fat people like me. Keep that in mind.

The noise is bad. Parties, music, bikers. All night pubs next to the hotel.

Very friendly and helpful staff. 24-hour reception. Room small but super clean. Short walk to the port and lots of great eating places.

Extremely small bathroom and shower tray. No shower curtain so water went everywhere. Had to remember to move the toilet paper to a high shelf otherwise it would have got soaked! Internet connection was frustratingly patchy, though this isn't the hotel's fault. Speaking with others during my few days there, it seems a large portion of central Volos has this issue.

First of all the location is unbeatable. We stayed in this little hotel a few times as it is a great vfm for the reasons we travel to Volos. The beds are comfy and with regards to cleanliness is great. The people in the hotel are very helpful and most of the times able to fulfill your requests

The lack of parking for sure is on the downside as it is located right in front of the busiest roads is hard to stop or park around. For us was not really a problem as we parked on our arrival nearby and we didnt have to move by car at all. If your room is on the front side of the hotel it is going to be slightly noisy as it gets really busy in the morning around the area.

Right in the centre of Volos shopping area, and a short walk from the port and quay. Beautiful building, but please note no elevator, only stairs (staff very happy to carry up your luggage for you). I grabbed the last room at short notice (unexpected stop-over due to ridiculous Easyjet cock-up) which was a triple, lots of space and comfy. Good aircon.

Room was a little tired and bathroom was a little cramped, but perfectly adequate for my needs.

Triple room on first floor, overlooking main street. Double glazed door onto balcony and metal roller shutter meant traffic noise was not an issue. Bathroom was compact, but functional, shower good. Aircon was quiet and effective. Lee on reception was very helpful and he carried our large suitcase upstairs for us (no lift). It's our second stay here; we like it because it's very handy for the ferry port and there's a nice music bar to relax in (Santan), up the adjacent alleyway.

The hotel is very close to the ferry terminal, ideal stopover. Friendly staff, carried my suitcase to the room as no lift. My room had a fridge which I wasn't expecting but was very useful

I had a room facing onto the main street which was very noisy. Nothing the owners can do but recommend a back or side room if you are not used to traffic noise.

Very clean, exceptional reception staff who carried our heavy suitcases up to our rooms and back down on departure. Always hot water. Great central location. Easy to find.

Would be great if there was a lift as well as stairs.

this is a lovely place. It’s quiet. In a great location. There’s even a balcony in the room. I randomly came downstairs at three in the morning to make hot water. The guy working overnight was so nice. A boiled water for me and put it in my thermostat. I really didn’t expect such great service. These are very cool people and I will definitely stay here again.

It was such a nice hotel and the rooms looked and felt so clean! It is in such an ideal location too, close to the train station and ferries!

The bathrooms were a bit cramped, and the showers were so small water ended up going everywhere which wasn’t ideal but the rest of the room was still perfect!

The hotel is in a great location for everything in the town. Excellent if you are catching the ferry to the islands with good rests and bars close by.

Nothing wrong with the hotel but be aware that parking in Volos is difficult. Especially if you are leaving your car for a while to go to the islands.
