Hotel GIO

Room was clean, hotel was centrally located by U Bahn to everything, good water pressure, okay beds, helpful staff. Breakfast was a nice variety (but the hot items were barely warm).

No coffee or kettle available in the room, toilet and shower were separate but shared a door so couldn’t be used at the same time, noise carried between rooms easily. Room was too small for all three adults to be moving about at once. Very expensive for such a tiny space with no daily housekeeping or amenities with an expensive breakfast buffet in addition to the room cost.

The location of the hotel is excellent and close to the city center, the hotel is characterized by calm and comfort and helpful staff, the room is rather small, but for one person it is very suitable and the furniture is new and clean and very close to a metro station through which you can easily move around the city

There is no refrigerator in the room and there is also one common door to the toilet and taking a shower

Friendly staff, location is good. The room had everything needed and the bed was comfortable. It was clean.

The location of the hotel was walkeble to the city center (15-20max walking distance). Good, comfortable room and bed. Parking space (garage), It is better to make an appointment in advance to arrive by car).

Garage; A very small, deep garage. (you need to register in advance to make sure there is room for you in the garage) Garage costs €18 per night. Parking in the garage is more for experienced drivers, it is also intended for smaller cars. (higher chassis). Shared toilet and shower doors that crack violently when closed. Maybe there could be some more hangers so that towels can be hung up.

I recently had the opportunity to stay at [Hotel Name] during my visit to GIO hotel, and overall, it was a pleasant experience with a few minor setbacks. Let me start by highlighting the hotel staff's exceptional service. From the moment I arrived, they were incredibly friendly, attentive, and always ready to assist. Their warm hospitality made me feel welcomed and ensured that my needs were met throughout my stay. I can confidently say that the staff at the hotl are a valuable asset, and their helpfulness greatly contributed to my positive impression of the establishment. One aspect that stood out during my stay was the cleanliness of the rooms. The housekeeping staff did a commendable job in maintaining a high level of cleanliness throughout the premises. My room was spotless and well-maintained, creating a comfortable and hygienic environment to relax in after a long day of exploring the city. The hotel's location is undoubtedly one of its greatest strengths. Situated in the heart of Munich, it offers easy access to popular attractions, restaurants, and transportation hubs. I found myself within walking distance of many notable landmarks, allowing me to make the most of my time in the city. The convenience of the location truly enhanced my overall experience and made it a breeze to navigate the area. However, I must address a couple of minor drawbacks that I encountered during my stay. Firstly, the room size was notably small, which may be a consideration for those who prefer more spacious accommodations. While it was sufficient for a solo traveler like myself, it might feel a bit cramped for those traveling with larger groups or carrying significant luggage. Another aspect worth mentioning is that the room had a combined bathroom and WC with a single door. Although it didn't pose a significant issue for me personally, I understand that some guests may prefer more privacy and separate facilities.

The room was very clean and bright, had all necessary amenities. It was very quite and comfortable. Staff was very friendly and helpful too. The hood is not very interesting, but it's 10 minutes walking from the old town (or 1-2 stations on U).

The garage is very hard to access – my long and low car barely fit. Also, very hard to find a spot around the hotel most of the time (and it's expensive). Breakfast is okay, but could be either cheaper or better. Airport is very far a way and it's quite hard to get to it by public transport.

Nice hotel with friendly and helpful staff, we were allowed to check-in earlier. There is a coffee and tea available at the Lobby, pretty delicious Italian-style breakfast. Hotel has an elevator.

Hotel is located close to a busy street, in a close distance to some hospital or something. Very often ambulance cars were driving, making load noise, so better not to open the windows for the fresh air at night time :) There was a strange system with only 1 shared door for toilet and bathroom. We stayed in a room for 3 people, so it was difficult to use the toilet, while shower was occupied. Sink is placed inside a room, but not in a bathroom.

Our newly renovated room ( slightly larger than the hotel’s basic double rooms) was spacious and quiet, with large windows overlooking a quiet, treed courtyard. It had an A.C. Unit (we didn’t need it) and sliding panels on the window side for privacy and to keep out light. One quirky feature was a swinging door to close the shower stall and toilet cubicle, but it worked well and was a good use of space. Staff were consistently helpful and cheerful. We originally chose the hotel for its proximity to a relative’s home, but it is also convenient to the Old Town area of Munich: just two U-bahn stops from the Marienplatz. We were very comfortable here during our four-night stay.

Breakfast was not included in our booking and was pricey.

Great place to stay for a very fair price. The service was great. Breakfast was really good and it’s recommended to have it there!

Location was a bit off and far from everything, but the train station is very near and it’s a 2 stops ride to Marienplatz. The door to the shower and the toilet is shared, so only one room can be closed at a time. Also, the shower has a window straight to the bedroom. So only choose this hotel if you’re VERY comfortable with your partner.

Exceptionally clean hotel and room. All the staff were accommodating and friendly - we were able to check in early which was greatly appreciated after an early morning flight! The location was good, although slightly further out of the city than we thought, but close enough to walk to the city or could get the tube from the nearby station. There’s a bar/restaurant attached to the hotel (we didn’t eat there as we were out all day) but it seemed very cosy and inviting.

The shower door and toilet door share a swing hinge, meaning you can only have one door closed at a time. There was also a shutter door on the shower glass meaning you had very little privacy (fine if you’re sharing with a partner, not so great if it’s friends!).
