Hilton Garden Inn Munich City West

It is simply a great hotel. Professional in each detail. Two things are worth to emphasize: the very welcoming staff and the location that is simply perfect: the same distance from the airport regardless if S1 or S8 is used, it's located next to one of the stations where all the S-Bahn trains are available, trams 18 and 19 to the city center, one stop from ZOB and two stops from the main railway station (by S-Bahn). Grocieries next to the hotel - the small EDEKA next to the hotel and the big EDEKA on the other side of the bridge. If you're going for a concert in Backstage - it's in a walking distance or one stop by any S-Bahn.

Room was nice and clean. Bed was very nice to sleep in. We where Traveling with our 1 1/2 year old baby and the extra baby bed was without charges and fit into the room. Thx for that. There are several food and drink locations nearby which are easily reachable in a walking distance. The Train station close to the Hotel brings you in all directions to munich and to the airport too.

The parking lots in the park house are very very tiny. Take care to not scratch your or other peoples car. Though its free of charge so I can still recommend it when you don't have a big SUV. We drove an Audi A4 and it was hard to get into the lots especially the ones on the wall. Take out all your luggage and stuff before since the passenger side cant get out when in the parking lot.

Exceptional stay. Room was spacious, and very clean, with all needed amenities. Beds super comfortable. Location perfect. One of the highlights of the stay was very professional and friendly staff Boris who is very welcoming and helped us with all our inquiries. I have travelled a lot, and surely can say the level of staff service in Hilton Garden Inn is top tier.

The room was very clean and comfortable. The front desk staff were very helpful in arranging a taxi to the station for me in the morning.

I couldn't sign into the WiFi. I was given instructions on arrival but they didn't work. I'm sure this would have been resolved if I'd been staying more than 6 hours overnight, but I was too exhausted to ask about it at the time.

Friendly staff especially the Barman who gave us all a complimentary Snapps,a nice touch. Despite obvious staff shortages everyone coped reasonably well. The smaller lady at reception unfortunately I forgot her name was extremely helpful and allowed me to forward boarding passes by email to reception printer for printing as the hotel customer use printer was kaputt. The Breakfast was excellent although it really needs to be kept a little warmer as it cools rapidly on taking. Great value for money with great location for U-Bahn and Tram.The two Filipina ladies at Breakfast were also very helpful.

Covid is presenting serious staffing challenges and the Hilton is no exception. Having one PC screen and printer out of order at the Hilton and then followed by the failure of the printer at it's sister hotel across the yard will inevitably result in additional pressure on staff for printing tasks. Staff definitely need more help and are to be congratulated on coping under such pressures. I am sure post covid it will return to it's previously held superb reputation. Stay on top of maintenance or staff will suffer.

This is a super hotel. Staff very friendly, bilingual. We had our room 3 hours early, superb room, clean and high quality facilities, large TV, walk in double shower, large bathroom, bed very comfy to sleep in. Breakfast was eat all you like for €10 and huge spread, make your own waffles, English breakfast and continental, juices coffee etc. Definitely stay here again. Tram 19 stop outside from the city so easy access too and there is a lovely supermarket next door and a variety of decent restaurants but for a 10 min walk Rosso Italian restaurant is amazing, large but cosy too with great staff.

Not much wrong at all, maybe about the tea bags were not 'English Breakfast' or strong at all, and maybe leave more in room too. (Twinings are proper tea) also whilst it was tasty hot breakfast was not very hot at all.

Room is super clean and warm enough for winter. Bed is very comfortable and pillow is just nice. Convenient location. Supermarket is just round the corner. Staff at reception is super helpful and friendly.

Have to pay for underground parking which cost 22euros a day. Too costly. Carpark exit is also very narrow, difficult to navigate out of the carpark. We booked 2 rooms, but no connecting rooms so was given 2 opposite rooms. A little inconvenient. Tried to call reception, but no one picked up the call. No heated pool in the hotel.

Location was great-very close to the train station. We came by train and used the local train to get around the city. The room was great.

We booked a room with a bed and sleeper sofa, and when we got to our room, there was only a queen bed (I was travelling with my adult son). I told the desk and they apologized and immediately gave us a different room. The room was very warm and the desk said the temperature is controlled, so we had to open a window to cool it down, and this was in February.

The room was ok, windows facing railroad tracks. Despite of that it was very quiet. Either the trains were silent or windows were with superb sound isolation. Kettle with coffee/tee in a room was a bonus.

Parking lot for 22 eur/night was far enough under the bridge next to the hotel. Well it is better than nothing, but I expected smth. better from Hilton Garden Inn. Not convenient at all, especially if it rains. Breakfast restaurant was too small for the amount of guests, we had to wait in a line for 20minutes (on Sunday).

The hotel was very clean , staff was helpful, and breakfast buffet had many options.

I reserved a room for 3 & it would have been perfect if the room was already prepared for 3 guests . I had to request an additional set of towels, the body wash and hand soap was missing and there was only one mug in the room. Housekeeping could use a little more attention to detail.
