Arthotel Munich

Great location for Oktoberfest. Decent breakfast. Friendly staff. Great to support an independent hotel with quirky art, paintings and sculptures dotted around the hotel. I'd definitely come again.

On arrival, the toilet in our room had been left used and unflushed. No major crisis but unpleasant and the cleaners should have dealt with it.

The location was perfect and easy to get to from the train station. Staff was very helpful and the breakfast was amazing. Bathroom was modern and loved the shower as well as water pressure.

The reality was not as nice as the online photos, the pillows were old and flat, and the towels were worn and not white.

Size of the room (comfort double room), big bathroom, soft pillows, comfy beds, great breakfast. Breakfast girls and guys were great, especially Mr. Rishi Pal - he is a skilled, kind and extremely polite waiter with a lot of knowledge, he moves and serves guests so gracefully, attentively and with such a style - he’s truly impressive and has a lot of potential! He made us all feel so very welcome. Many food choices at breakfast and very good coffee; enough of everthing for every taste and every diet and also plenty food in case you come to breakfast late. Kind and extremely helpful receptionists and great housekeeping stuff (with responsible supervisor present). Top location, close to city center and only a few minutes from main train station and bus station (in case of arriving by plane and using Lufthansa Express bus from the airport).

Hotel is quite pleasant and conveniently located close to UBahn so one could travel anywhere in the city. Breakfast was very ample and the hotel was quiet at night. Rooms were clean and beds ok. Neighborhood is safe and walkable. The interior of the hotel is decorated with interesting and unusual art pieces and also has a small lobby bar. It is a very pleasant hotel that is air conditioned.

We asked to reserve parking twice via Booking.com email supposedly sent from hotel, yet the hotel did not have a space reserved upon our arrival. Not sure if the miscommunication is a booking.com issue or the hotel. The email advised we could respond back but apparently the hotel never received the request and never confirmed. They referred us to a garage four blocks from hotel and advised it would be less costly. It was not. Also, the hotel was very sparse with towels.

The location, it was a 5 min walk to Munich Main Station and 15 mins to Karlstadt (shopping area). There are lots of eateries and shops nearby. The hotel is nothing fancy, but has all the necessities to make your stay comfortable. Beds were really comfortable but blankets were too small (according to my 14 year old son). Also had a pretty good breakfast buffet. The staff were also very helpful, nice and professional.

Breakfast can get really crowded and you‘re on your own to find a table. The shower is quite small and our drain cover was broken, so could see hair and stuff that wasn’t cleaned out.

Hotel located a few minutes walking from the main station. Cozy and comfortable room. Friendly staff. The receptionist accompained us until the lift to our room, since it was located in the annex building (which is accessible from the inside of the main building). Tasty breakfast, with different options of coffee and juice.

The breakfast room was crowded, although we managed to find a place. Because of that, the hotel recommends having the breakfast at less busy times, but maybe they should consider expanding that space, if possible.

Arthotel's location is perfect. It's walking distance to the old city & right by the train station. The staff were very, very friendly and extremely helpful. One young man in particular gave us lots of helpful hints and helped with luggage. The parking lot is secure and underground, and they save a specific spot for your reservation when you book (parking costs extra). The breakfast was delicious.

The beds were very firm and unforgiving. If you like extra-firm mattresses, this is your place. The walls let through a fair bit of noise. To be fair, some of that is from construction that isn't the hotel's fault, but it's quite noticeable. The breakfast room can be a bit overcrowded; coming back later helped.

it is very near to train station. Room size is good enough. Fast response in maintenance issue. Breakfast was excellent. Receptionists are very good.

The room was given without basic check of facilities. We faced huge leakage from sink when we tried to use water immediately after late evening check in. within 30 mins it got solved though by maintenance manager in spite of being after working shift. Also, there was empty Coca-Cola bottle in the room which we noticed in the second day after coming back to hotel post tour of the city which was not consumed by us. during checkout we found 3 euro was being shown as Coca-Cola consumption. Fortunately the receptionist understood the situation and did waive the charge since we did not consume it.

The breakfast room was loud and crowded.No toasters we’re working.Selection of hot food was limited.

The food in the dining room was excellent, We enjoyed our stay, I graduated from Munich high school in 1951 when my father was a Chaplain, Bad Tolz has always been a favorite place for me, Munich comes in 2nd, We had lots of good food. too! Thanks!

Wish my 23 year old grandson had a bed rather than the made-up bed he slept on. He never complained but a bed would have been nice,
