Leonardo Hotel Köln

Great location. Right next to a tram stop and a few metres from a train station. Both services are really easy and cheap and comfortable to use. Hotel was very comfortable and has good facilities. The pool is small but very clean and well maintained. also very cold! The staff are exceptionally nice and all speak excellent English. We were staying there for an event in the Lanxess Arena; it was just two stops away on the tram.. about ten minutes. Well equipped shop right next door to hotel and a nice little bar and diner down the road if you prefer not to eat in.

Excellent breakfast. Comfortable room. Even for rooms next to road, no noise inside because of sound proof windows. The best part is the wonderful staff. Everyone of them so nice and helpful. The hot chocolate in the room was super delicious. Although the restaurant was closed, they gave us cutlery to eat outside food (and also some more hot chocolate.. That made us very happy)

Hotel is little worn down. But that's hardly any problem. The number given in the booking doesn't connect to the hotel directly. We wanted to ask whether the restaurant will be open, because we were reaching very late. But simply couldn't connect directly to the hotel. It only connects to some central number which has fixed limited working hours.

This was a very comfortable and conveniently located hotel not far from the city centre. Getting to the centre was easy. There is a tram [number 3] stop at the end of the street, which is also the name of the street a few minutes' walk from the hotel. you can buy a ticket from the machine on the tram. You need to get off at Neumarkt, stay on the platform and then catch a number 16 or 18 which will take you to the Dom/Hauptbahnhof [Cathedral/ Central station stop. There are convenient lifts there. The room was a good size and there was a kettle for making tea and coffee. The bed was very comfortable and both the room and the bathroom were very clean. The restaurant and bar were good and the breakfast was very good. The staff were friendly and helpful. Complimentary coffee and water were available in the reception area. The entrance to the outside parking lot is next to the main entrance.

One of the pillow cases had a large hole in it. Also the bath water outlet appeared to be partially blocked; it took some time for the water to drain away. The shower was over the bath, which meant that you had to stand in in a few centimetres of water. There was a young man at reception with a very load monotonous voice which made it difficult to hear and converse with the other receptionists on duty.

Leonardo Hotel has everything we needed... clean room/bathroom, comfy beds, kind staff, price included to use the swimming pool .. In the lobby is a relaxed atmosphere ... with some nice attachments eg. coffe to go or free water/fruits . Next to hotel is a little shop and a bus stop !!! + Very close to train and tram stops aswell.. takes 15 minutes to get into city center or 40 minutes from / to airport. We used the 9 euros ticket which is valid for one month.. so we hopped on and off to buses and trams to see this big city.

Such a pleasant experience, the hotel location is exceptional, is located in a quiet neighborhood, very near to the Old City and Dom, Meanwhile it’s near the malls and the shopping center. The bus location is in front of the Hotel and there were a supermarket nearby. The stuff were very nice also the room was clean. I highly recommend it and for sure it will be my main hotel for future trips.

The property has a quite good location - there is a supermarket and a couple of bars/restaurants nearby, the closest tram/subway station and the train station are in about 5 and 10 minutes' walk respectively, so you can easily get to the city center or to the airport, or even to visit another city. Also, you can reach the Cologne Bonn Airport by car in 15 minutes if you don't want to use the city public transportation. The reception desk is opened 24h, which is favorable for late check-in and early check-out. The room was clean and comfortable, and had all basic conveniences needed, i.e. air conditioning, hair dryer, kettle and TV. The buffet breakfast was good and tasty, despite having a quite little choice. Furthermore, the breakfast time was between 6:30 am and 10:30 am, which was very flexible in terms of traveling time management. The hotel staff was friendly and welcome, and helped us with all questions/issues we had. COVID-19: There was a coronavirus test center in 2 minutes' walk, which was very helpful in terms of restrictions provided at the time of our stay.

There was no fridge in the room. Also, the bar and the restaurant was entirely closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic restrictions (the restaurant worked only to serve breakfast).

The breakfast has great variety. The hotel is spacious and the rooms were serviced promptly. The staff was helpful and the amenities good.

The hotel could use some renovation or improvements in terms of looks. However, this did not affect the experience for us at all. Staff could have been friendlier but they were competent and helpful nonetheless.

We really enjoyed our stay here, it was really great value for money. The reception check-in staff were super welcoming and helpful, and they even left complimentary afternoon snacks in the room while we were out. The facilities were great with pool and sauna - which is great in the winter when you want to stay inside.

It's not in the city centre, that being said, there's a direct tram 5 mins walk away and a train 8 mins walk.

I was actually really surprised. The lobby looks super neat and well taken care off. The room was great. Super clean. Everything was taken care of in detail. Beside this they seem to care about sustainability which is a big ++ for me.

Maybe that it’s not super central but the tram/metro is super close and you’re quite fast in the center.

Very clean large rooms with good beds and a nice bathroom. Super friendly helpful staff and the lobby was beautiful too 👍 We especially loved the free sauna and the pool! The stay was very comfortable, I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Breakfast was good, but we didn't have gluten free options. There should also be more vegan options. Not a lot of restaurants near or things to do.
