very clean and the staff at the reception was very friendly

Around 8 am in the morning, there was a female staff opened our door twice saying she wanna clean our room. The check-out time is 12 pm. We were very confused and a bit shocked because a stranger opened our door... What's the point cleaning the room before we left???

- Staff: The staff was great. They speak English and they are very very friendly and helpful. Check-in and checkout was very smooth - Cleanliness: The hotel was very clean. Rooms, bathroom, halls and even shared/public bathrooms were super clean - Breakfast: You had many options to choose from open buffet. Just enough options for everyone. Dining room was huge and comfortable. You have a lot of different table/chair options too - Wifi: Internet connection was good and stable

Rooms: - Even though the rooms were very clean and comfortable, they were a bit small and not very suitable for families with children. All the rooms have double beds which are enough for a couple but becomes a problem for a child due to the space where the beds merge. - Toilet door is transparent and without a handler. Basically no difference of not having a door at all. You can see/hear anything. Still perfect for couples, but not comfortable for families - No fridge. There should be a small fridge at least so you can keep your drinks cool

The facilities were very new and clear, and it was easy to get information from the desk.

Some walking distance from public transport, guestrooms are very small with little bathroom intimacy.

No proper bar or restaurant, no minibar in the room

Upon entry the staff was very welcoming, they were able to adjust to the fact my girlfriend & me don't speak German and had no issues trying to help the best they could. Housekeeping was very good as well, towels were changed often enough, bins were cleaned nearly twice a day. The bathroom was clean, bedsheets were clean, the TV was easy to use.

The area, I'd suggest the hotel for almost everything besides the area. There's nearly 247 construction, garbage on the ground everywhere, no place really to walk your dog. But than there's good metro connections so you can get anywhere you'd like. A minor inconvinience was the room's wifi, to use it. Your TV had to be turned on, and if i was screen sharing my phone to the TV to watch netflix, my girlfriend wouldn't be able to use the wifi.

Ultimately all was fine; it was what you expect from a three star place and I got it cheaper than similar alternatives. Breakfast was good if nothing special. Bed was fine. 9 minutes walking to Berliner Tor station with excellent public transport links to pretty much everywhere in Hamburg. There are also a few restaurants around Berliner Tor. Generous time frame for breakfast. Internet worked well. Good table and chair for working.

The direct neighbourhood isn't exactly attractive and dominated by lots of car traffic. One day they didn't make up my room. Storage space in the room is very limited.

upon our check in without further explanation we were told that we had to transfer 200€ as a caution and it will be returned in case we don’t damage anything (this was not informed on the details while making the reservation) . we didn’t feel comfortable with this and asked why it wasn’t included within the details upon reservation and the answer was “it started to happen 2 days ago and now has to be done”. we refused to do it as it felt kind of forced, would be nice to have this information available before making a reservation

New, neutral modern look with attention for details, clean, perfect size room with airconditioning and for a super good price. It was nice and busy in the hotel which made it feel vibrant and full of energy. Also the free street parking around the hotel was very convenient.

They are building a lot in that area, so it’s not the cosiest or calmest (in terms of building noise in the morning) at the moment. For us the distance to the city center was fine because we had our bikes, but I could imagine it is a bit of a distance if you want to walk for example. It feels a bit outside of the city (even though it’s not) because of these circumstances.

At reception: Coffee on tap 24/7...with croissant in morning...wow! Brilliant idea! Room spotlessly clean & quiet. Staff super friendly.

TV: Some popular channels not available eg. Tagesschau24. And list of actual channels with corresponding number on remote device would be helpful. Map of location of Super 8 Wyndham on website is poor! Really tricky to get from S & U-bahn Station to your hotel. Large,clear map would save tramping about at night! : not everyone has access to Google Maps!
