Beautiful big hotel, comfortable rooms, good location, nice (free) fitness and wellness. Our suite had a nice view over the atrium. Breakfast was good, but expensive.
The atrium was pretty noisy (due to conferences) and full of bright lights, also at night. Because of the cream-colored curtains in our room, it was very light in our room all night. We couldn’t tell the difference between night and day. The hotel should have darker curtains in the rooms, or just dim the lights in the atrium at night (which is also energy-saving). When we entered the hotel, we often had to pass true a cloud of smoke (lots of people smoking next to the front door). Not very welcoming. Maybe a smoking area somewhere else?

The staff finally responded and gave us a good room after a tumultuous start to our stay. Room service was prompt and everyone was helpful.
We were given a room that did not match our booking. After being told that would be solved quickly, we had to call again to push them to solve this. The replacement room had faulty electrics (no lights). We went to lunch with a promise that this would be solved. We returned and within 2 minutes, the lights went out again. As well, other things we asked to be taken care of, had not been taken care of. Finally, we were put into a bigger suite with a gratis bottle of bubbles and great service for the remainder of our stay.

Everything was perfect from the start ! Reception staff was really friendly and helpful and we got the chance to have our room before initial checkin time. The hotel and its common areas are splendid and really quiet for a hotel this size. Room was spacious and soundproof, making our stay really enjoyable. Having access to the Holmes Spa is a great add-on to the stay : sauna, hammam, swimming pool... an ideal spot to relax after a long day. Special mention for the breakfast : lots of choices and the possibility to request specific meal to the chef (benedict eggs were delicious !). A place to stay and to get back to !

1. I tried to have dinner at the hotel restaurant at 9.15pm, and was told I could only order one dish after 9pm. This is unacceptable for a hotel of that category. 2. The Angela Merkel portraits are too much of a political statement.

The location is great and all staff are helpful. The breakfast is excellent with good options. Parking is directly connected.
Some stains on some of the towels. The gym and pool are connected to the hotel and crowded, kids are not allowed.

Really classy and comfortable hotel right in the heart of Dusseldorf shopping district. The rooms are classically modern and high end, with plenty of space. Beds are super comfy!
It's a little bit stuffy as there's no external windows but not too bad, equally being alongside a large atrium makes for lots of light and spacious feeling without losing cosiness and privacy.
