Leonardo Hotel Dortmund

Location is perfect, 6 min walk to train station and right across the street from city center! Breakfast was great, love the fact that they extend it from 10;30 to 12 on weekends! Hotel bar has a decent selection of drinks and stays open after official closing time if there are lots of people. Hotel is super clean and staff is extremely helpful! Our airline lost our luggage and front desk was extremely helpful in dealing with them!

Wi-Fi was great all throughout the hotel, but the moment you walk outside of the front hotel doors you get zero reception. While it's not a big deal and understandable, it would have been nice to have it for those 5 minutes here and there while waiting for a cab.

Good hotel with reasonable sized room, good location and parking

Bathroom Sliding glass door which was very close to the bed and offered very little privacy, also it was impossible to leave the bathroom light on at night as it was too bright due to the glass door, making it difficult to us the bathroom in the pitch black. If the light was turned on it disturbed the other occupant. Bath towels were small and very thin. Single beds which were put together to make a double but separated during the night, very uncomfortable

The location is especially good for finding places to eat and the rooms were pretty comfortable. We really liked the chosen design as it brought a pleasant atmosphere and the walls are also very good at blocking out any external noises.

The only thing that I find slightly uncomfortable is the design of the bathroom door, which is glass. It’s very unpractical if you’re planning to stay with your family or with anyone for that matter.

The hotel is a 5 minute walk from the station and a park minutes from the metro. It is about 7 minutes walk to the city centre too. The hotel is very modern, the rooms are spacious and bright. Very good noise insulation. The staff is very helpful.

The door to the bathroom is glass, with a hole instead of a handle. It was not very comfortable for us. It would also be nice to have a kettle in the room as there was only a coffee machine.

Super clean, modern, you know where everything is, super close to the city center, room lights, staff was diligent and straightforward, I did not get to use any of the facilities but they told me about a lot of them so that sounds good. I also requested a taxi for 3:50 am and they gladly booked it for me and took care of it.

The bathroom door. I had a friend with me for the time being and it was kind of awkward going to the bathroom because the door is somewhat transparent and there are holes so using the bathroom lacks it’s privacy if you are with someone else in the room. If you are alone it’s no big deal I suppose.

This place grew on me. One of its best features was/is its bar area, which is one of the comfiest/coziest I have experienced in Dortmund hotels over the years. The breakfast area is huge (bigger than seen elsewhere) and the choice offered is as one would expect. Another asset: the 24-hour availability of fresh (well, machine-made, but decent) coffee (and tea) in the reception area. A critical feature for someone struggling with jetlag. The new-ness of the property showed. Well-sealing doors, heavily and sound-proofing. I rarely heard anyone's footsteps or conversations in the corridor. Really good.

I felt that the room was a bit smaller than expected. I was travelling alone, but two people might have found the queen/double-bed room a tight squeeze on occasion, notably around the bed area. That said, at reported 17sqm, the rooom was a typical size for many hotels. It's all about the corners and edges...

I came here with family for a Dortmund Football Match and Leonardo did not disappoint. Perfect location within walking distance from the train station, the staff were amazing, the rooms were spotless, the breakfast was delicious and the drink/snack bar was a great hit. We will definitely be using Leonardo again when we come back!

Location, cozy atmosphere

I don’t know why, but in Germany in general, most of the hotels don’t have queen or king size beds. That’s the case with this one as well. Even I booked a room with a king size bed, I’ve got two separated beds connected to look like one. And of course, during the night I was felling in to the whole in the middle of two beds:))

Very clean facilities and great value for money spent. The restaurant has lovely options as well and there are charging stations in the carpark. The best part of our stay was the staff. They are very nice and exceptional in their work. They went above and beyond to meet our needs.

It would be nice if it was possible to connect your own devices to the TV.

Over all. Location, Cleanliness ans staff coordination. Check-out process was very easy. Parking was also fine. In sorroundings there were alot of parking.

Just one thing, they did not care about suggestion, although they replied. During booking, i recommended to provide a room at top floor with city view. But they ignored the message and randomly provided the room.
