Good, affordable hostel near Dortmund train station (Hauptbahnhof), with a cozy lobby where you can have a beer after a long travel day. The bunk beds, bathrooms and restrooms are fine. I was able to switch rooms after complaining about a smoking roommate.

The environment of the hostel is indeed very noisy. In hostels you sometimes have to deal with less pleasant roommates. The first night there was someone who regularly stood in front of the window smoking. I complained to him about this and reported him so I could change rooms. Another room guest later decided to change rooms for the same reason, because this smoking guest was still there and he was smoking again. While I appreciated being able to switch rooms, I would consider a zero tolerance policy on smoking advisable for the benefit of other guests.

The place is located a few min away from the train station, which is very convenient! The staff is great and the beds comfy. The room was also very clean, and had its own small bathroom. There were also 2 large lockers in the 4-bed room, but you need to have the lock. I didn't use much of the facilities, nor had breakfast there, so cannot comment on it, but the lobby seemed to have lots of entertainment areas.

The room was on the main street side, and during the night there were several ambulance cars passing with the sirene which was rather annoying. It was also quite warm under the blanket, even with the window open.

I stayed for 10 night and somehow felt like home. The room is spacious (I live in one room with 4 bunk bed), The toilet and bathroom are clean (They clean it everyday). The location is also strategic, close to the main train station as well as shopping street. The Hotel has billiard, and spacious lobby.

If you don't lucky enough, you will meet with other guest that open the window during the night, which of course good for the ventilation, but I think ts not a good Idea in winter time, plus you will heard the noise from the outside.

The hostel was nice and clean. The lockers a little small, it wouldn't fit more than a carry-on size bag. The ensuit shower was nice that it wasnt a push button one. Street parking was free after 8pm until 9am.

Check in was a little slower than necessary. Also the hotel tax is not included in the booking.com price. The hostel itself was fine, but Dortmund and the area around the hostel did not feel comfortable as a woman walking around on my own. I made sure I was back before sunset.

We spent 1 night here with my best friend. Location is perfect, close to the central station, also to city center, everything just walking distance. Staff was super kind and helpful. The window in our room was damaged little, and not possible to close well. We asked some help to repair, they immediately offered us a new room. Rooms are clean, comfortable. Bathroom big, comfortable, clean, well equipped. Breakfast was not included, but for extra pay possible to take great meal with big selection.

The hotel is close to the main train station. Just behind the hotel there are numerous of shops that sell foods or clothing and even pub. I live in the 1 room with 4 bunk bed, the room is spacious, and the toilet is clean. Don't forget to bring your own lock so you can put your stuff in the locker. The best thing about this hostel is it has a spacious lobby with billiard and stuff, also they sell various of food and drinks.

The shower tap regulator didn't function too well: either too hot or too cold. A thermostatic tap would immensely improve the quality of the room No parking space available, only for staff. A possibility to reserve a parking space. We were there for the dog show which is at the messe, a 10' drive.

The breakfast is great. So is the location, very close to the main station and city center.. Wi-Fi was working and quick. Reasonable price. The fastest checkout. Despite some listed disadvantages, I left satisfied.

The room was dimly lighted. No lamp for reading. The TV was partly closed by the closet, no appropriate way to watch it. The bed mattress is way too soft.

Very good location and value for money. Walking distance to the main station and city center. 2 minute walk to closest U-bahn station. Thanks to nice staff we had no problems with storing our luggage after check-out.

We had room at the highest floor which got very hot during the day and barely cooled down in the evening/during the night. The room could use an A/C or at least a small fan, especially in the summer.

The staff was extremely nice, very helpful - accommodated all needs and requests made. The rooms were very clean and spacious enough - at the end of the day one can't forget that it is a place for sleep and that was what we exclusively used it for, so theres no reasons to complain on my part. The hostel itself is in a very central part of town. A lot of great restaurants in a walking distance, as well as the central train station.
