Hotel Le Continental

The room was very well appointed with a comfortable bed. The suite was very well appointed with an excellent shower and batch. The breakfast was a bit expensive but was excellent for choice.

There were no bar facilities in the hotel. I made use of the bar across from the casino before finding that it is part of the same company yet there is no indication of this being the case in the Hotel Le Continental. I was asked by the staff at the bar facilities if I was staying at the hotel before being served, I replied no but yet it seems that was not quite correct. Why was this not made clear in my room ? Or did I overlook this information ? Anyway, the Hotel Le Continental should have some bar facilities in my opinion.

we booked breakfast and asked if our dog was allowed in the breakfast room, we were told yes, otherwise we wouldn’t have booked breakfast. when my husband brought our little dog to the table a member of staff came and told us no dogs were allowed and when we told her we asked at reception when we booked she shrugged and said sorry pointing at a small notice on the doors. As there is a supplement for your dog to stay and there was a dog in that area when we checked in the night before this spoilt our stay. This is the first hotel in France where this has happened.

Apart from anything else, the building is fascinating! The room was large, the bathroom big enough to host a party. It's a short walk into the town, and a short walk to the casino if that's your style. The nearby Valhalla restaurant is good for an evening meal - but you need to book a table. Otherwise they can serve charcuterie and cheese. The cycle storage was a huge secure garage.

The perfect place to stay on the Paris/London bike route as it’s literally about 100 metres from the greenway cycle path. Also a walk into town. There is a lockable storage room for bikes. Large room, comfortable, large bed. We ate at the casino restaurant across the road which is located in a lakeside environment. We didn’t take breakfast but there is a coffee machine near reception.

The hotel is situated in a quiet location (other than the cockerel close by)😉. Lovely comfortable pillows. Our room was on the top floor and therefore ceilings sloped - only knocked my head on 2 occasions!! Breakfast was pleasant and coffee very nice. No restaurant on-site for evening meals, however the Casino/hotel is very close by and the grounds are stunning. Hotel La Continental is a short walk from the town which should not missed. Look forward to returning.

Friendly reception staff, spacious room with garden view. Lovely breakfast room and breakfast. Lots of free private parking. We had dinner in the Casino Bistrot about 5 mins walk away, please be aware you need ID. We had a pleasant walk around the lake and saw lots of wild life.

No air conditioning, windows needed to be kept open. Very noisy from people leaving the casino at 3-4am. Lots of loud cars and people. Breakfast was basic.

Quaint and clean hotel with good parking in the back. The bubble bath and tempurpedic mattress was a nice surprise.. spacious room.

WiFi was not functioning at the time of our visit. Everything else was great.

Beautiful clean hotel with lots of parking. Excellent continental breakfast, with great selection and my favourite, fresh fruit salad.

Tea and coffee making facilities in our room would have made it a perfect stay.

Lovely rooms in a stylish, traditional hotel. Very good bike store. Good location by park, casino, bike path and not far from town centre. Helpful staff. comfortable night and a good breakfast.
