Giftun Azur Resort

This huge resort is very well located ...on one side the busy promenade and on the other side their lovely private beach. Food was abundant and fresh. Staff is very hard-working and efficient: never kept us waiting and always with a smile on their face.

It was supposed to be ALL inclusive, but there were many restrictions unfortunately which are not visible in the description before making the reservation. Only certain simple cocktails were included, while others had to be paid for separately. Similarly, only one out of the restaurants mentioned in the description is in the all inclusive package. For all the others (Italian, Asian, Mexican) there is a surcharge of 10/15 dollar per person. As for the seafood restaurant the à la carte is fully against charge. I would suggest making these restrictions clearer in the description of the resort.

The sea was fantastic! As always the thick matrasses on the sunbeds was lovely! Staff so friendly and nice as always!

The food was not at all as good as it usually is but I understand that during egyptian holidays it can't be. The families take soooo much food and leave s lot! A big big waste. Terrible. I feel ashamed over the human nature when I see this. The same with all rubbish just trown on the floor and on the beach. Thats really sad. A fantastic culture as Egypt and its wonderful people is acting like low class.

Food was fantastic and there was excellent variety. Rooms were cleaned to a high standard. Staff were excellent and couldn't do enough for you from the Reception Team, the Manager and Waiters! Location brilliant, right on the beach with a few shops outside.

The only thing I didn't like was constantly getting pestered by people trying to sell you trips, massages, treatments or camel rides. It became quite annoying when you are trying to relax!

nothing, not all booking conditions is avalible in booking. com example single room, double room, there is only triple room wish they can solve this issue

the food variety and quality is excellent. the staff at restaurants are very much customer oriented. GIFTUN AZUR has the best sandy beach in HURGHADA. very safe and enjoyable for all member of the family

the maintenance to be taken care off . have spoken about this issue with the front office manager and the response was great

Everything was perfect. Rooms were nice and clean with a private entrance facing the garden. Food and drinks were excellent, buffet breakfast/lunch/dinner and all drinks were included (including alcohol, cocktails, wine, beer and soft drinks). The hotel has 3 restaurants which are included in the all-inclusive deal and several bars. One the restaurants is at the beach which was very nice. Staff is super friendly, from reception to waiters, entertainers and gardeners. Our flight landed late but the hotel still provided us with food despite the late hour. I was travelling with 2 elderly people and the hotel allowed us to check out late for free which was very nice of them. The resort is facing the beach which has a lot of umbrellas and sunbeds for guests. The swimming pool is heated during the colder months. There are activities throw-out the day, from morning to evening (aqua gym, stretching at the beach, volleyball, beach games, evening shows, live music etc.). All activities are for both young and old people which makes it very inclusive. Most places are wheelchair accessible (but not all rooms have showers, some only have baths). Location is great because it's only 10 min by taxi (less than 2$) from Marina/Sheraton Street which is very chaotic.

a lot of things actually it was generally a very nice stay, the location and the facilities are pretty nice! the staff were amazing and the whole atmosphere was quite pleasant

the mosquitoes are monsters!! especially in the rooms.. they haven’t really bothered me anywhere else but the room.. if the management installs some sort of a sliding fly screen door on the room’s sliding glass door, I guess this will solve this problem and make the stay perfect actually!!

Evening program could be better and not outside in the winter time, too many smokers there also.. Wine was very small and without taste Coffee from machine should be available also for breakfast No snorchel

Food served by staff, labels on food only written in English, only staff can see the food, all cooked foods are covered and only staff can see, this is very inconvenient

The place is immediately kept. We had two rooms next to each other. Yes they could do with a little modernisation but were clean with tea coffee fridge drinking water safe tv etc. staff were really friendly and helpful. If you give the room cleaner they go above and beyond. We were brought drinks selections for the fridge and fruit bowls for the rooms. Same with waiters bar staff and the omelette chef at breakfast. They remember you and look after you. Nice pool area. Great beach. Loads of choices at meal times. For what it cost us we would definitely go back.

One bathroom had a lovely walk in shower the other didn’t. But I assume they will get done eventually.
