The Westin Puntacana Resort & Club

Quiet and spacious room with comfortable bed and pillow and nice view. Breakfast was very good - dinner at the nearby Playa Blanca restaurant also. The staff was very attentive and helpful. Big plus is that this resort is not all-inclusive.

Sea with quite much seaweed in it (this is the price we pay for climate change and water pollution). In addition one day there were kind of beach works nearby (if I understood correctly) that made the shore water black.

Location, right on the beach, 6 min to airport. Nice pool area and garden. Good food at the restaurant. Very easy to get Covid test on site. Secure, gated resort area. Close to Punta Cana Village with shops & restaurants. Clean room, good housekeeping. Most staff were pleasant & accommodating. Staff wore face masks at all times. Free entry to Indigenous Eyes Nature reserve.

The rooms are not very cozy and a bit sterile. Could use some pictures or artwork or maybe nicer furniture pieces. The lobby staff did not give much information about hotel/available amenities & available Covid testing on site.

All of the staff were so service-oriented and welcoming! The environment just made us feel so good throughout the whole visit. The breakfast kicked off our days in the best possible way. Access to a nice gym and some really good golfcourses was adding a lot to the overall experience. We’re already longing to revisit Westin Punta Cana.

very new and spacious, direct at beach

it is in a very large hotel resort area and around 3,5km to reach the main street. have to take taxi to get out of the hotel and taxi costs are high. there are strong current and lots of seegrass in the beach water which make the swim difficult.

I initially booked to stay here for 4 days, but I ended up extending my stay three times. Been here for two weeks now. This place is paradise! Love the location, the beautiful beach, the good food and all the friendly staff.

The only thing that needs attention is the room that is a little outdated - like most of the hotels in Punta Cana. Otherwise, its definitely worth staying at least a week.

Avocado toast was good. I’ve had better but I’ve had worse.

It took us 40 min to get our breakfast. The waiter actually brought us our check before we got our food not realizing we’d never gotten our food.

Beautiful beach and free shuttle to the natural springs

Main restaurant was closed during COVID curfew, so just the pool bar restaurant was available. Food was ok. Outside food wasn’t easily available due to the curfew. Also, as is the case in almost all hotels in Punta Cana, you are isolated from the town. COVID protocol adherence at this property was very good when I was there. I do know at other hotels like the Barcalo properties, it was not (I moved to the Westin as a result). I would not recommend a trip to the DR during COVID curfews as everything shuts down at 5pm.

The staff were EXCELLENT. They were very friendly and went out of their way to help us! The facilities are amazing (pool, gym, restaurants, bars…), and everything was priced just right. We very much enjoyed our stay here at the Westin!

nice beach, small hotel. loved the Reserva ecologica, definitely check it out. good shuttle service to the other areas of the resort.

everything that is not included in the room rate is totally overpriced. food and drinks are very expensive, the transfer is double what a normal taxi costs. very windy spot, not good for swimming.
