Green Coast Beach Hotel

The hotel's beds are so comfortable. Really you sleep very well here. There is always wind (a breeze) in the hotel, I think very good not only to prevent COVID spread (covid is mainly airborne) but also to keep everything fresh and chill, after all it is a tropical climate. Also prevents maybe a bit mosquito's they are blown away as well. It is so close to the beach and sea, there is always wind and it is only maybe a 2 minute walk to the beach. The room really feels tropical and there are fans in every room and the bedroom has a very powerful AC, although I hardly used it, could keep window/door open on the balcony, it was safe. The cook is good! Pizza very good. As most beach bars, try to rip you off, eating in the hotel or drinking something is a wise idea to do. Very close near the hotel is a mini supermarket called Germania (altough I did not see anything connected to Germany there) :) There are beach bars /restaurants and many resorts. I did not do it, but I think the resort directly next to the hotel also accepts the hotel's guests. Note that the hotel is in Bavaro, which is not the city center of Punta Cana. Although I started with a bit of doubt (they wanted to charge 20 dollar for early checkin and there is an additional 18% charge for taxes), I think it was all miscommunication. Booking is just not transparent on the taxes. It is written but you need to dig to read it. And the 20 dollar I think it was just miscommunication. Once you get to know the staff they are very very friendly, just they need to get some confidence in their English speaking capacity (I think they do well). If you are a light sleeper, there is noise pollution around the hotel, of bars and disco until after midnight. But hey you are in a busy and touristic area, so I think it is only positive. They can also arrange a reliable taxi driver. There are some issues with Über in Punta Cana unfortunately.

Although the showerhead is a mercedes, it did not work like a mercedes. Hot water supply was limited and so was the water. Bathroom had a bad odor. (but very clean). Just for people to know, I do not think there is an elevator in the hotel, but they have plenty of rooms on the ground floor.

The best thing about the place is its beach club. It is right by the water and it has amazing colours and breeze. It has character and it looks like the photos. You cross an alley from the hotel to the beach club. It is an alley end, so the spot is quiet and safe (there is a police post on the same street). Very easy to access if arriving by bus.

The cabin-style rooms are clean but not well-maintained and not necessarily comfortable. There was no wifi in the room. Quality (views and interior) seems to vary a lot depending on in which building the room is located.

- Great value for a lovely room by the water - The property is right next to a larger beach club and resort that you can visit - The restaurant is really good - amazing breakfasts by the water in the mornings and good pizza for dinner - Lots of other bars and restaurants down the street to visit - a greek place, couple seafood places, and a good Mexican place

Fridge wasn't working but they fixed it after a couple days Don't count on the wifi being reliable - it was in and out for the whole stay. There's a coworking space called Cogarden down the street with reliable wifi ($15/day for a seat in the shared office)

- the Manager from the Hotel really nice and friendly, he came straight to the reception to greet me - Angela the Bartender in the beach Bar amazing, you have to drink from her Piña Colada - Claudio from the Reception really helpful and friendly - i like very much the old fashioned designs (maybe a lot of guests don't like it, to be honest there are a lot of things to renovate but i really liked it how it is)

- Hot water system definitely needs upgrading - There are no shelves in the bathroom - Most of the employees only speak Spanish (you can get by, but it would be important for them to speak English too) - the portions of breakfast could be bigger

Lovely boutique hotel that feels like home the moment you walk through the door. The staff is very friendly and professional. They work around the clock to keep the place running smoothly. Maintenance staff is always on site. Every concern is addressed right away. I had a small issue with a balcony door, which was taken care of within 10 minutes. The place is very clean. My room was very spacious and comfortable. Hot water is always available. Wifi is good and accessible throughout the hotel, even at the beach. A shout out to the front desk staff - Fernanda, Chantal ( sorry if I misspelled your name) and Carmen. A special thank you to the beach bar crew, Claudio and Angela. Not only were they were always there if you needed anything, they seemed to be watching out for everyone. Their constant presence created an especially safe and comfortable environment. The beach is adjacent to the public beach, so as a solo traveller I especially appreciated the extra security they provided. For the same reason I found it very convenient I didn’t need bring any money to the beach and was able to pay later at the front desk. The room had a safety box with a digital combination lock at no extra, which I was pleasantly surprised about. It’s quite rare, especially for a budget hotel. The breakfast included in the price was good. I especially enjoyed the variety of omelettes and a freshly squeezed juice. Overall, a very enjoyable stay. I would highly recommend this hotel to anybody who is looking to unwind and experience a more personalized service without spending too much.

Staff was super friendly and helpful and the beach bar area was excellent. Food was decent, drinks we're good, and the massage I got from Jenny was excellent! Otherwise, the room was very clean and the bed very comfortable.

Room was a bit dark and the living area a bit bland, not super comfortable to hang out in. Also, there was button to turn on the heat for the shower, but it would only last for a minute two before getting luke warm - so make showers quick!
