Sheraton Zagreb Hotel

We visited Zagreb for the Christmas markets - the sheraton hotel was the perfect hotel for this matter. the hotel was very central and walking distance from great restaurants, stores and other spots. While our stay, we also made use of the great gym, sauna and pool - which definitely met our expectations. We also booked the breakfast for all three days, which was a nice buffet with food that anyone likes! The staff there was very friendly and offered coffee and co right when we sat down. Overall a really great hotel and would definitely come back!

there are small things that bothered us. for example in the morning, the on the second floor maids were very loud. I’ve been to many hotels before but here it was a little different. they were very loud starting at 8am, with music, VERY loud conversations and discussions. several things fell on the floor multiple times or banged their trolleys on the walls, which you can hear all over the floor. We came to Zagreb for a relaxed holiday, but were not able to sleep in on a single day due to the maids - which was very unfortunate.

When we first came girl from the reception gave us wrong room so the bad thing was that we had to wait a little bit for the mistake to be corrected and we were in the rush ,but later on everything was fine actually the room was really clean and bed was so comfortable😊,oh and I have to say that the waiter from the restaurant in the lobby was really amazing ,and the lunch there was really good.

Parking was a huge issue ,we parked at the garage and we got a card with which we could go in and out ,but it never worked so we had to come to the reception every time we used the car.

Great location, spacious halls, everything at your hand. Excellent pool. Enjoyed it. All in all it was a pleasant stay in lovely Zagreb.

Deposit system is very strange. We checked in for 3 nights and they tried to take a deposit of almost €500 while our stay expense was E200. It took us half an hour to negotiate... It was a little bit dirty in a gym area. Actually gym was not working due to renovation. A nice hall "for yoga" was ok but I couldn't use it twice in a week as it was busy with a private session. I think it is not ok with the only facility

I found the breakfast not great. No salmon or fish for example, and it is quite expensive at 22 euros. The rooms were fine but the air climatization was quite noisy so we had to stop it during the night. There is room service (it works by a QR code, but it was not put in the room and I had several back and forth with the reception to get it) but unfortunately, the choice is limited, only one kind of pasta.

I found the breakfast not great. No salmon or fish for example, and it is quite expensive at 22 euros. The corridor (where we are only a little of course) felt full of dust in the air from the slowly decaying materials of the construction (it was built in the 60s or 70s likely). But they seem to be renovating, so we will see how it will be. The entrance has a rotating door which is actually little used, instead, we enter via classic doors which are left open during the day. Because of the global warming issue, it would probably be better to have doors that minimize the loss of cooled air when someone enters/leaves.

Very well located. The staff was very good. It is very easy to commute to all the main squares as they have a tram station just outside the property, and it is named after the property itself. Room size and cleanness were good. They even had a temperature controlled pool. The lady sitting at spa and pool reception is very good.

They gave us the room at the end of the floor so it was quite a long walk with luggage. Steam and the sauna room are common, and we are not allowed to wear our costumes, so it becomes a bit awkward. Just the towel was allowed.

it was clean, breakfast was super good. we also got an upgrade of our room so we got a huge apartment & that was very nice!

I asked about the parking before our arrival because we were traveling with a big car so I wanted to be sure that we will fit in the garage and that we won’t be desperately looking for a place in the center of Zagreb. when we arrived we were told that there is no place available in the garage and we have to park somewhere else. so we tried. when we came to the hotel garage there were many available places and same it was in the morning & when I asked about the parking in the morning they told me that we could have parked there. so it was a bit strange and uncomfortable

Lovely hotel, lovely lobby area and breakfast selection.

The only thing that annoyed me was, I didn’t include breakfast in the booking and when I arrived, I was asked if I wanted to add breakfast on, I asked how much was it and I was told it was €17 so I said to add it on. When I got the breakfast bill it was €21.90, so €22! When I queried it, they said it was €17 when you pre-book with the original booking only! That would have been totally fine except I was told it was €17 so that’s why I said to add it on. Not a huge deal, but they would need to be clear when stating how much prices are.

Position, standard of rooms .Always nicely refreshed. Staff at reception were really helpful. The maitre' d in the dining room was so engaging when we reported some very long delays with obtaining service. . Very nice food preparation and presentation.

Housekeeping staff consistently took glassware from the room and did not replace it. Tea bags were also not replaced . Have not encountered that before. Seemed be understaffed in the dining room. This is not criticism of the staff.

Location was good. Walking distance to main sights. We were there for the Christmas markets and were not disappointed. The beds were the best that we had on our trip. The bathroom was a good size. Room was a descent size as well. Restaurant was OK. Only ate a late dinner there. Kind of pricey. Café was good and reasonable prices. People friendly.

Wished the spa was open an hour or so longer in the winter. Nice to warm up. Didn't like that you couldn't wear your swimsuit in the saunas. If it was going to be that way it would have been more comfortable if there were separate areas for men and women. Breakfast wasn't included in our package. That might have been nice.

Grand and beautiful, with a nice pool, saunas, and steam bath. Good location and underground parking. The check-in staff were professional. Bed was extremely comfortable. Dog-friendly. Reasonably good breakfast.

The hotel is past its prime - interior design of the rooms is outdated and some of the interior details are not functioning well - for example, the hanger in the bathroom fell down when I hung my bathrobe and it was obviously reattached several times before that. Same with the toilet paper holder. The food in the restaurant was subpar. For the same price in the city you can get really exceptional meals. Staff should keep a better eye on the spa. People go in with swimsuits and smell up the sauna. Also people using their phones loudly in the relaxation area. Having more signs and awareness could be helpful.
