Hotel York Luxury Suites Medellin by Preferred

The bedroom view was beautiful and the hotel had a very nice, luxurious vibe. It looked very modern and new. The pool area was clean and the view was also nice. The restaurant staff were great, knowledgeable and attentive. For the most part, the front-end personal were polite and made good conversation. The toiletries were replenished everyday along with clean towels.

I booked through this site and once again I had an issue during check-in. The hotel claimed to have no record of my reservation. We ended up getting different rooms than originally booked, but they were able to make adjustments and we ended up with rooms with a beautiful city view. Also, during this ordeal we were helped by a receptionist who seemed annoyed, understandably, but her attitude didn’t help ease us or the situation. One of the rooms had a robe and slippers while the other room had neither and was also missing a trash bin. We all also had an issue with the keycards. On two occasions we had to go to the front desk because the cards randomly stopped working.

everything! Andres and the crew were exceptional-efficient and warm. It was the best hotel experience I’ve ever had. It exceeded the experiences I’ve had at the Fairmonts and Waldorf Astoria. I only wish my entire stay in Medellín was there. The gym had decent equipment and was clean even the view was good from the gym. rooftop pool was quiet and warm! The room was modern and also exceptionally comfortable. my partner and I agreed it would be an ideal apartment. my partner left a few days earlier and my Spanish is terrible. it didn’t matter as I think all or most of the staff spoke perfect English. I planned on visiting more of Colombia but I will definitely spend more days in Medellín because of my experience at York!

this will sound silly as a “not like”… it’s my practice to do at least one kind thing each day I travel. the only thing is I had to walk nearly a mile to find any homeless to bring a meal to. I needed to get my steps in so I can’t really complain lol. really, don’t miss this place! it’s the one place I felt I could put a “10” rating on. Andrés is a natural at his job!

Newer hotel in the Frontera area between Envigado and Poblado. close to Plaza São Paulo that has a Carulla supermarket and other food options. ambient noise from the street and semi thin walls presented some noise issues for my one week stay. internet was suitable and without issues.

The view from the bedroom and terrace was spectacular. The room was spacious and clean. The breakfast was amazing and Sami in particular was attentive and helpful. The evening bartender was excellent, accommodating and very personable. Carolina at the front desk was wonderful and made it difficult to leave! 😊

While the staff for the most part was very welcoming I was surprised that more of them didn't speak English. That is probably more common in larger hotels but I felt a little bit like an outsider. No problems though and I would definitely return someday.

The hotel has an amazing rooftop pool with a view. The rooms are spacious and have everything. Everyone is extremely friendly. I can’t recommend it enough.

Honestly nothing.

we stayed here for 3 nights with our 2 little kids (2 yr and 4 yr old). The view from our rooms was amazing. They have multiple breakfast options (buffet style). they have lunch/dinner menu as well. The hotel staff are very kind and considerate. The cat and the swimming pool in the hotel kept my kids busy:) the pool has amazing view as well. They have a bar area in the pool area as well.

the travel agent at the hotel provides expensive tours. I would suggest to use directly from TripAdvisor or booking.com- you would find better deals.

York was of the quality one would find in a top boutique Hotel in New York or Miami Beach. The eye for modern comfortable design was excellent in every detail. The service and the help available was instant and attentive. The food was top notch and everything was of the best quality and so delicious. The security was so well done. They have an excellent sense of the technology that is to be enjoyed with all our modern devices... and they are well on the way of having the best tech savvy staff. The manager was very gracious among the highest professional hospitality experts in my experience. I now have a second home in Medellin.

The pool was lacking and difficult to get in and out of. The fitness room could be better.

Nice stay at Hotel York Luxury Suites. Breakfast was on the whole great as there was a lot of choice with options to prepare eggs and pancakes any way you want. I could also have it delivered up to the room which was very convenient. Bed was very comfortable and air conditioning unit very effective. Shower delivered consistent temperature and pressure. TV was reasonably modern so was able to mirror my laptop and phone to it. Had a kitchen in my room which came in useful as was able to heat up food in the microwave. The pool was great, clean and heated, not many chairs but that wasn't an issue during my stay. The gym was decent, needs a bit of maintenance though. Location was ok ish, you are about 15-20 minutes by taxi from El Poblado and there are some nice cafes around that are within walking distance.

No complimentary coffee or water, everything has a price. The windows are apparently made out of air as they let in all noise. I was on the 2nd from top floor of the building (which is very high) and could still occasionally hear loud bikes. Not a huge deal but on lower floors I can only imagine. When it heavily rains its very loud, earplugs recommended. There was also an alarm in the bathroom that would beep when it got humid from a longer shower which I found a bit annoying. Recommend knowing at least some Spanish too as much of service has a limited grasp of English (except the front desk who speak it perfectly).

The staff were amazing. Everyone was very friendly and accommodating.

Everything about our stay was wonderful except the room service food. There was no consistency in food preparation and taste. I called the kitchen to let them know that my order was wrong and the staff said that the cook said I never ordered anything. It felt like they thought we were trying to get a free meal and that was disappointing. But everything else was great!

The Hotel York Luxury Suites- Medillin was very nice property , the staff was excellent and very helpful, despite the English- Spanish language barrier, they made every effort to communicte easily. The room was a very nice suite and very roomy. The maids kept the room clean daily. The restuart and bar aea was very nice, food was excellent and staff was very friendly and professional. The rooftop pool area very nice! Nie pool and views of the city and mountains from the roof top. Short walking distance to off- site resturants and shopping. Nice park close by. They arrange paid transporttion fromt he airport.

The only negative I would say- is the pictures on line make the Hotel and especially the lobby are look much bigger, but is was sufficent. A little pricy compared to other hotels in the Pablado (Medellin area.)
