Travelway Inn Sudbury

Great for a one day stop in Sudbury on a bigger trip to visit to Science North. Friendly enough staff and clean fresh rooms and common areas. Our first room had a crazy noisy bathroom fan but they were able to move us across the hall immediately. Continental breakfast was ok, if a bit limited in selection.

Nothing particularly special for a $200 one night stay. No pool. Asked if we could do a late check out, and was told that they don't do it, even though it says that it is possible on the Travelway website. It was midweek and the hotel was clearly not full so not sure what it wasn't an option. Wanted to do laundry since this was in the middle of larger trip but it closes at 9PM and staff would let me start a load at 840PM because of that. Some flexibility would have been appreciated.

Best hotel for the Ramsay Lake coastal trail, from Science North to Bell Park (2 km) and to most points in Sudbury, with clean, good sized, quiet, nicely appointed rooms with comfortable beds and responsive air-conditioning and, likewise, nice washroom. The adjacent to the lobby sitting room-library was, otherworldly large, tranquil and relaxing, with large windows and a beautiful view, as was to a lesser (smaller) extent the adjacent business-computer room. Parking was plentiful and safe. All was clean and modern, refreshingly quiet and even better on the inside than the outside, re., it is "better" than I have seen it generally presented. The staff were amazingly friendly and helpful, as with Joanne and "all" the rest of the service team, of not getting their names. Best ever, if not only in Sudbury, I'm thinking.

I don't like "light" coffee. I like a, more than "processed" scrambled type of eggs. More variety, as with potatoes, including gluten-free options would be preferable, but it was basically OK, and hot enough. A restaurant and pool on the premises would have made things a bit better. I usually go where I have to pay for restaurants "not" on location. Some might prefer a microwave, (not found in the room) but they are available in the lobby. Queen-sized beds, vs., double-beds would be nicer, but their beds were "comfy". For a smaller, very well located hotel for sightseeing, this one can't be beat, for value as far as we're concerned.

Breakfast was ok.. it was nice to have some hot options included with the continental breakfast. Entrance and foyer was inviting and the on-site store had good options. Nice to have the board games available in the common/business area. Parking lot was recently sealed and painted which made parking a breeze.

Please include more shampoo and conditioner in the rooms. AC was loud when it was on. Carpet in the room and hall was a bit worn and didn't look as clean as the rest of the place. Returning after 11 pm, we were surprised that the front entrance was locked and we had to enter via a side door using our key card... we weren't informed of this at check-in.

I was pleasantly surprised by our stay at the Travelway Inn. The Inn looks extremely well kept and clean. We stayed for 2 nights to participate in Sudbury activities and the location was spectacular. It was directly in the middle of Sudbury close to attractions and restaurants. The breakfast was amazing and the staff were always smiling and very friendly. I had mobility issues (90% in wheelchair) due to recovering from a serious MVC so I had requested the ground floor and the staff were extremely accommodating. I noticed other reviewers mentioning issues with no elevator however if you have mobility issues, you should plan accordingly!

We didn't have the breakfast because it closed too early. 10am is too early...should be 11am. if people are on vacation, the last thing they want to do is wake up early to eat...some like to sleep in

I think the carpet in the rooms haven't been changed in a long time, they are discolored. Doesn't look good! a couple of bottles of water in the mini fridge would be welcomed....

Clean and comfortable with little amenities like the pantry to buy late night snacks, food, and drinks and the complimentary hot drink bar in the lobby which were perfect after a long drive. The location was perfect for getting to Science North first thing in the morning and for a walk at Lake Ramsay.

there was some noise from other rooms - and not of an excessive nature - and not because of loud or partying. Noise was simply voices that could be heard from an adjoining room - due only to the loud nature of an individual's voice. We were surprised to hear noise of this nature.

Staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful Everything was exceptionally clean. Shower was among the best in hotels that I have stayed at. Breakfast plentiful but nothing exceptional.

Breakfast perhaps. Fresh cut fruit.

Walking distance to science north and bell park made getting around a dream. Clean rooms and very comfortable beds. Breakfast was good, basic but hit the spot for a full day of activities with the family. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Would definitely stay again

We stayed here because we were attending a concert at Bell Park. The hotel was within walking distance and we actually had a lovely walk along Ramsey Lake to get to and from the concert. The room and hotel were clean, the beds were cozy and the staff was very pleasant and helpful
