Hotel Squamish

Squamish is a destination, not only recognized for being situated along one of Canada's most scenic routes, the Sea to Sky Highway, and in close proximity to Vancouver and Whistler, but for world-class recreational pursuits. While travelling to Squamish, due to accident in Sky highway, traffic was blocked for 7 hours and we reached at 3:30 am next day instead of 8:30 pm. Due to proper coordination with staff, we found our room key in a secure locker. Very Special Thanks Squamish Staff

the room is specified clearly in Booking website as NOISY because on top of a terrace. It was winter time and not much noise. We knew exactly what we bought for the price (they have more expensive rooms too). The room had a wonderful mural, great bed, space for our needs, a quite large fridge and microwave. We needed it to go skiing at Whistler because we can no longer afford accommodations there. We will return for sure! We recommend it for people having same needs as we had. Wifi was great too.

accommodation was good, simple and everything you need. Was perfect for a one night stay. There was an aircon unit, window, fridge and even wine glasses/coffee maker - good view but glad it was a holiday as there is construction directly across. The owners also own the liquor store - would have been great if they offered a little discount on the wine they sell for their hotel customers, but unfortunately we didnt get one. Location is very central. Bus from adventure centre stops just outside and you pick it up on the main street about 2mins walk. Comfy bed, water machine in communal area.

We were looking for a place near whistler that wasn't too expensive and found a great option at the Squamish hotel. In terms of facilities it wasn't anything special, but the beds were comfortable and the shower was pretty decent. Coffee was resupplied daily.

It was quite hot in the room. A fan was supplied, but it would've been nicer if there was some kind of insect screen available so the window could be open during the night.

Central location, although it is currently dominated by a construction site across the road that has closed off some access. Decent basic amenities for an overnight stay. Nice mural painting on the wall.

An old-style hotel and the rooms could do with some updating. Mis-matched old furniture and one of the bedside lamps wasn't working. No comfortable chairs. A few loose fittings and the supply of power access points was a bit dodgy.

Helpful staff, good location and well connected (useful for people without a car). You can also do laundry at the hotel, which is great.

If you are a light sleeper, this is probably not your place. Not only there is a construction site in front of the place, but also the walls are very thin (at least in the room I stayed) so there is a lot of noise e.g when someone next door is using the shower. Still, I was only at the hotel during the evenings, so this was not a big problem for me

I liked that there was coffee and water available everyday. Clean towels and toiletries were also very nice. The housekeeping staff was very friendly and helpful.

A couple of things: we were right by the restaurant fan so we could hear that all night. The rooms were not air conditioned so it was hot and stuffy - not alot of windows to open for a breeze.

Room was small but well equipped, we paid extra to stay on the quiet side of the building. Didn't really need to as things had quieted down by the time we returned from BBQ, Friday, and Wedding Saturday.

Stairs could be very difficult, very tight spiral and only useable handrail on one side.

They were extremely friendly, they helped me when I messed up and needed an extra night and always had the rooms cleaned when I came back. They didn’t invade my private property in the room and it was always nice when I came back extremely happy with my stay here. Can’t say enough about the friendliness of the staff.

Wouldn’t mind a microwave but that’s not really a big deal.

Very clean. Very quiet. Fresh towels and fresh coffee pack brought every day. Restaurant noise non existent as they are only open from 5 to 9 Wed. to Sun. This was a 6 night stay. Bed super comfortable.

TV not great but didn’t matter. Would have been nice to have a microwave and a small table with 2 chairs for which there was room.
