Hotel Zed Kelowna

We loved the theme of this hotel. The funky colours and extra touches to detail were noticed. The kitchenette was very well set up and clean. This location was amazing for walking to many activities, it is located right next to the park and beach. We also loved that the streets were blocked off for the entertainment and eateries close by. It was a fun experience all around and we would definitely stay there again.

Hot tub was on the cooler side. Maybe add more places in the room to hang swimsuits and towels? Everything else was amazing!

If I t is loud outside you can hear it in your room. But overall want unbearable noise from the streets. Though I could see it being more of an issue perhaps on a busy weekend when people are out later and are louder on the street. There is no elevator. This would have been good to know ahead of time in case you have a lot of luggage (like myself in the process of moving across the province) or mobility issues and are staying on the second floor.

Loved the location, the pool, the decks overlooking the park and lake, the decor, the staff, and the laid back energy of the hotel. We got to know some of the other guests because the hotel was very chill and guests felt comfortable in common areas. Staff were always smiling and helpful. We didn't take advantage of the roller skates and bikes but we will next time for sure.

For the amount we paid, we expected things like good water pressure in the shower, soft toilet paper, coffee maker in the room. But we ran out of toilet paper one day into our three night stay and it was like sandpaper. The shower felt like we were being urinated on by children - no water pressure! LOL We bought our own toilet paper and took extra long showers, went to Starbucks for coffee. It worked out in the end.

Location is within close proximity to beach, shops and restaurants. Free bike rentals. Bright, cozy and warm lobby. Love the upstairs patio. Great view of sunset. Sauna room a bonus. Pet friendly

Very expensive. $1500 for 3 nights. No complimentary breakfast for that price. Stained carpet in bedroom. Would have been nice to have a microwave in room. Pool is small with only 4 ft depth. Parking is very tight. Kids excited to use record player but it was broken.

It was right across from a beautiful park and beach. In addition, it was two blocks away from a downtown center that had a great vibe. Lastly, they were very accommodating to my need to have a cigarette in a designated area on one of the hotel patios

Although a beautiful park across the street I was always seeing homeless people camping out overnight. I thought it was good to have overnight security checking the hotel. One more, although they offered free coffee in the lobby there was not a coffee pot or microwave in my room.

We stayed just one night in the Green/Turquoise room on the first floor. We loved it! The (new) retro features like a dial/push button telephone that works, office filing cabinets for bedside tables, a free comic (!) and a free yoyo as a greeting present in the room were all fantastic thoughts that we weren't expecting. Love the old (working) VW bus in the courtyard! Then there was free table tennis, free jacuzzi, free roller skates, and an open deck with a fireplace for warmth on cool nights. Love it!

Loved the location! They also had very active security roaming the grounds - fantastic, which made me feel really good about leaving my vehicle there. Beautiful rooms! Great atmosphere! Tons of cool funky things to look at, overall great stay! They had complimentary bikes we used to cruise around. sun deck overlooking the park across the street for drinks! All great things to say!

I wish they had coffee pots in the room. But they had good coffee offered in the lobby, both hot and iced coffee and juice! Also, I think maybe this could have just been the AC, but the room felt very humid and almost damp (it was really hot outside)

I loved the energy and atmosphere and the friendliness of the staff! The whole vibe of the Motel lives up to the hype ! Upon checkout my 11 year old grandson, was given a “swag bag” of goodies, for his birthday!

Really would appreciate coffee in the room, rather than the lobby! Especially since it is winter and there’s a mini fridge. A toaster would be great too ‘

Clean room with nice furnitures. Greatest advantages: parking and very close to downtown Kelowna and to the lake. Hotel is a very good recommendation for a 1-2 day trip to Kelowna.

Rooms are very noisy, i.e. you hear too much from the neighboring rooms or the room above; seems that there is not enough soundproofing in the walls and ceilings. There is no coffee / tea machine in the room, which is clearly a nice-to-have.

The hotel is very cute, the decorations are very well rated and well thought out. It’s hard to take it all in at first. It’s a celebration of 1960s-1990s nostalgia. There is a courtesy typewriter!

The room was in basically a basement, it was dark, noisy, and there was a lack of ability to enjoy it. That being said, the room was tidy, the bed was good, and things were clean. It is a two star after all. Just for the price paid, I think the value was somewhat poor, for that reason I don’t suggest this property.
