Hotel Eldorado at Eldorado Resort

Lovely setting for a very good smoked salmon benedict breakfast. The receptionist made sure that I had a quiet room because there was a big party that night near my first room. I felt very welcome in the hotel, and enjoyed meeting the staff. The hotel itself is a landmark, and is very stylish. I'm tired of the sterile, stereotyped hotel room that the big brands offer, and I can see myself staying at the El Dorado many more times.

There was a very noisy flock of Canada Geese holding an important meeting just outside my window. They kept waking me up all night. This is entirely beyond the control of the hotel, and might be just a seasonal phenomenon. The waterfront view was great, however!

Breakfast was amazing.. it's pricy but I get it.. there are lots of options.. more than you could possibly eat for sure! everything on the menu, so much sea food, traditional breakfasts, omlette bar, roast beef, turkey dinner, pastries, like i mean everything! Very cozy, comfortable, and nostalgic. Room was so quaint just perfect! and the view was amazing, staff excellent.

Went off season. wish the bar was open past 12, dinner drinks are VERY expensive, when you can go next door to buy a bottle of wine for the same price as a 9 oz glass!!?? Pool and hot tub was indoor, a bit of a detour to get there from inside, but worth it. Would have been nice to have out door hot tub???

The room was bright with lots of windows. The room had good amenities like a coffee maker, and mini fridge, wired internet connection, and a TV on a mount that could swing towards either of the two queen beds. The bathroom was spacious with a deep tub and a separate shower. Lots of choice on site for pools with a couple indoor pools and both a family and adult only outdoor pool.

The express checkout on Sunday had me go to the other resort and wait in line for 10 mins to drop off my key cards. Not too big a deal, but it would have been nice to have a drop box onsite. With all the wonderful pools, it would have been nice to have bathing suit dryers in the changerooms.

We were traveling and wanted to treat ourselves for Christmas and booked at this hotel. My partner told me all I want for Christmas .. is a bathrobe! Ahaha We ended up by having the best night ever... We discovered a beautiful and gigantic bathtub in our room, super comfy bathrobes, lavender salt for the tub...and an enormous bed. The surroundings were all snowy and frozen, we had a coffee on the roof admiring the fireworks.. the walk on the deck had beautiful lights it was all so perfect! We had to take off early on the 25th and when we opened our door we had a nice Christmas sock with cookies, fruits and chocolate from the hotel... I mean: commmme on! That was so cute! Thanks for the amazing stay... we will remember it. Room 306 will be our room from now on ahaha! And whenever we will come to kelowna we will stay in this Hotel!

really… The only criticism I had of the property… Was our room smelled quite musty from the moment we walked in and even with the window open throughout the evening… It was still quite noticeable… I know this is an older hotel and I know you’re going to have this issue… But everything else was perfect!

Lovely room with a great view of the lake, great pool facilities too. Lovely food for breakfast and dinner in the lounge part of the hotel. Staff were all very helpful and friendly, would definitely recommend to those looking for a relaxing stay!

As we visited out of season a couple of things felt a bit neglected, such as the areas around the outdoor pool felt a bit dirty/untidy and there were no towels available at the pools.

This was my 3rd stay at Hotel Eldorado and as usual, it didn't disappoint. We didn't even leave the resort for the duration of our stay since everything we needed was right on site - beach, pools, little bit of shopping in The Boathouse, restaurants (from casual to fine dining) and a pub! The staff were, as always, extraordinarily, patient, kind and helpful, despite the fact that it was prime tourist season and there were a lot of people to assist!

I had only previously stayed here during low season so I was a little unprepared for just how incredibly busy it would be there mid-summer. Some of the guests were quite rowdy and disrespectful (banging on my door like a SWAT team at 3am because they forgot which room they were in). However, this is no fault of hotel staff and they were excellent at coping with such situations in a calm and friendly manner.

The El gets so many things right. Beautiful building, helpful and friendly staff, very good kitchen and a real nice old school bar.

The Eldorado is getting priced out of our affordable range, so much as we love it we may have to go somewhere cheaper.

Beautiful little boutique complex. We stayed in the classical portion of the hotel. Wonderful, clean and larger rooms. Waterfront views and dining!!

Unfortunately, it was out of their control. The smoke from the fires in the neighbouring city of Kamloops reeked havoc on visibility and air quality. You could not see further than 100 feet in front of you until late, late in the evening when the cooler air pushed down on the smoke. Then you could possibly see 0.5 km. Terrible for the people that live in the city and also the people affected by this terrible dilemma.

Location is ideal for our purposes--lake and creekside walks are accessible from the hotel. We also like the historical component of the hotel-- the beautiful woodwork, small black and white tiles, old photographs, and the wooden rowboat with attached oars and shoes above the dining area. Very nice.

Rooms are small but that is part of the history.
