I stayed for about a week in August. The room, while modest, had all the necessary amenities and felt very clean. In addition to rooms with private bathrooms and showers, there are rooms that share these facilities. For those rooms, it's really appreciated that they come equipped with a sink and hairdryer. The shared bathrooms are always kept immaculate. Even though there's no kettle in the room, there's a communal area where you can serve yourself coffee, which makes for a comfortable stay. The hotel is conveniently located in the heart of the city, making it easy to shop, visit the Saturday market, or use the seaplane and bus services. There's also a light trail nearby, and it's close to the marina, offering a great location for walks. The staff at the restaurant were friendly, and my stay at this hotel was very pleasant. I really like this hotel.

This time, I stayed for about a week and it wasn't too hot, so I didn't feel the need. However, for longer stays or during hotter periods, I think it would be even more appreciated if the room had a small refrigerator.

The Inn is within walking distance of the Ganges Harbor Airport, and its historic character has been beautifully tended and updated. In June, it was surrounded by gorgeous flowers that make a cameo appearance in the restaurant. The staff were very friendly and accommodating and graciously tended our luggage for several hours after we'd checked out.

Although staff were perfectly accurate in assuring us that there were multiple local alternatives for breakfast (I recommend the Tree House Cafe!), it would have been convenient to have breakfast at the Inn, which was not available at the time we stayed.

The room was just what we needed in order to explore Salt Spring. While small and a little outdated (thinking of the TV), we still appreciated staying here as we found the value was better than other places available. Even though it was a shared bathroom situation it felt as though we had our own bathroom as they were kept incredibly clean and also it didn't seem like there was too much traffic in them. The location was great as it was right in the town of Ganges and had plenty of food options nearby.

The shared bathroom was the only thing that wasn't ideal, having to leave the room to use the facilities, although we knew this going into it, and as mentioned above they were kept incredibly clean.

The staff was very helpful--dealing with our requests promptly and to our satisfaction and more. The restaurant served us excellent meals-- a supper, the first evening, and a brunch, on the day we left. We loved the " boutique " style decor of the place. The location was central to all we wanted to see, in the town, and region of Saltspring Island.

A serious lack is the restaurant not opening for service until 9:00 AM--in this, a tourist accommodation, for tourists ! This forced us, as like most visitors I'm sure, to look for our breakfasts, elsewhere. This was not too great a hardship, given that other restaurants were within easy walking distance. However, we found this disappointing, when for example, the weather was miserable the first morning we had to leave the inn. looking for breakfast. Also, although central to the sites of Ganges ( it locale), its position on the main street in town left a little to be desired regarding traffic noise overnight.

The Inn is a delightful place, full of character and warmth, just like a traditional Inn, and ideally located right in downtown Ganges, walking distance from everything. The staff is lovely, responsive, and helpful. Our room was small but had everything we needed, and was clean and cozy.

The washrooms and showers are shared, which is no problem during the slow season but I can imagine could be a little challenging in the busy height of the tourist season. The showers are small. The Inn was great for a short stay but may not be ideal if you’re staying more than a few days, if you have lots of luggage or aren’t comfortable in smaller spaces and sharing the facilities. It was priced a little high for the off season (early November).

This was a wonderful little treasure! We spent 4 nights there in a cute, little, bright room. Everthing was very tidy and clean. It was no problem at all sharing a bathroom or shower room, which were very clean! It was great to be located so central in Ganges. There's lots of shops, cafés and restaurants downtown. The bus stop was directly across the street. The in-house restaurant was excellent! The Inn is beautiful inside and out. We truly enjoyed our stay.

It would have been great to have a little fridge in the room.

The property is so well maintained. The bathrooms are spotless! The tiling and fixtures are styled from an earlier time but are brand new and perfectly installed. I travelled with my sister, we each had a small room with our own sink and used the shared shower and bathroom. So sensible! So European. The staff are a fun mix of locals who serve with charm and kind respect. Our brother lives in Salt Spring so we stay regularly at the Inn. And always enjoy our time right in the heart of Ganges🌞

I liked its location, quaintness, it’s on-site restaurant, but particularly Beth, who helped bring my luggage up to my room for me (due to my mobility issues), and her cheery and pleasant personality in providing me with a cup of hot water both mornings and bringing up a box of Kleenex to my room. Beth definitely made my two-night stay very comfortable and pleasant.

One of the shower rooms had no liquid soap the entire time, and one of the bathrooms ran out of toilet paper on the Friday evening, which left guests having to use paper towels. Although the rooms are small and the number of rooms are few, access to an ice machine and having an ice bucket in the room would have been appreciated.

Location was excellent; right downtown which was close to the meeting I was attending. Food and service was very good as well. Hotel was amazingly clean and the bed was so comfy.

Room was very hot; all of the guests commented on that problem. A fan was provided but really air conditioning would be a good idea. Since it wasn't very hot outside, this seems an odd issue

The location of Salt Spring Inn was excellent for walking around the town as our vehicle was parked nearby. Walking around the interests was full of enjoyment with breathing fresh air. The staff at the inn were helpful and thoughtful as we requested a special plug for the laptop. The plug was available, so we used it overnight.

Everything was good, so there was no complaints or no concerns. We liked the older building design along with four toilets. However, I had to wait for the shower turn. Everything was wonderful, though.
