ibis Mons Centre Gare

I didn't choose the breakfast. The room was good. Location wise this is the best place to be. There are lots of restaurants within literally 2-3 minutes walking distance. Train station is just on the other side of the hotel.

The only thing that bothered me is the water overflowing of shower to the bathroom floor. The certain was not enough. You have to be very careful while taking shower. Also don't stand in the bathtub, it was slippery.

Gated/safe parking. Room was clean and comfortable and large. Buffet breakfast was tasty and there were lots of options to eat. Staff were really helpful, had a map to enable us to walk to the centre of Mons for a meal (about 10-15 minutes) which was really lovely (once we had passed the road works - they are laying cobbles/stones)

Noisy - during the night a door/loud bang woke us a couple of times. Getting to the hotel due to road works was a nightmare, instructions not clear enough. Maps provided but don't really show which road is which and how to get back when you have gone wrong! All one way streets. Red signs stop half way to the hotel. Will be much better when roadworks/new station complete.

A very zen reception area, lovely chap on reception, also very calm and efficient. A fresh looking room with BBC TV to catch up on what's happening back home, and some entertainment in English. Breakfast options were great! freshly squeezed orange juice was a real pleasure at 06:30.

Road works had closed off the entrance to hotel so it was a real fanny to find a way into the grounds. some prior notice would had have been helpful.

Staff were excellent, friendly and helpful. The all spoke English which to an ignorant Englishman with no language skills is very useful. Hotel reception area and bar were fine.

The only thing that lets the hotel down is the rooms which are very basic (nothing wrong with that) but quite old fashioned and need of an update. In particular a ISB charging point would have been useful.

Reception staff was welcoming, friendly and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was adequate but overpriced at €15 per person.

Rooms facing train station and main road can be quite noisy even in middle of the night. It was unusually hot (over 30° C) the weekend we stayed. The hotel supposedly has AC but it didn’t really feel like it.

Terrific location only about ten minutes walk into town. Staff were super friendly and very helpful with directions and extra pillows. Good breakfast and convenient onsite parking. Careful finding it! Follow the Ibis signs from the roundabout and get in the left hand lane to avoid ending up the station side of the road.

room was spacious and nice. breakfast was not bad - delicious apples 😊 personnel was friendly.

no possibility to charge the phone near the bed, only at the table. I forgot my charging set for iPhone in the room, tried to contact hotel to return it but hotel didn’t reply.

The hotel is close to the train station, and the city center. It makes it perfect for a one night stay. The price is good considering the size of the bedroom and the bathroom.

There's nothing bad to say. Ibis does a good job keeping their hotels clean.

-room size was nice and big -2 single beds were nice -bathroom facilities were good -parking was very good -location was decent too -liked the light breakfast option

-no air con and it was pretty hot on the day. -not the best view out the window.

Was expecting some water and a kettle in the room as well as slippers, but I didn't check actually before whether the hotel offers this. Not a big problem.
