B&B Hotel Antwerpen Zuid

It is actually a great hotel. It does not pretend to be a Hilton, Marriott or Hyatt and it does not have to. It is good, it is fine for business people, it is fine for families and it is good accommodation for a city-trip. The breakfast is great : plenty of choice, very fresh, friendly staff. You can walk along the river Scheldt/Schelde from the hotel to the city which is very relaxing and offers plenty to see ! We used to live in Antwerp, but live in Sydney, AUS now and it is always a pleasure to come "home" in this city that has so much to offer. And B&B Hotel Zuid is a great addition to this beautiful city ! There are plenty of good restaurants and cafes/bars close by for a lunch or dinner or a simple drink of excellent Belgian beer !

It is approx a half hour walk from the hotel to the centre of Antwerp city. Good for the digestion of your sumptuous breakfast ! Or you can take a taxi or one of the share-bikes. The bed is large enough, but the rooms are quite small - think not enough room to store larger suitcases or to hang up clothes. But large enough if you are a light traveller on a short trip or a couple on a city trip.

The location was great for us since we always walk while traveling, so a 20-minute walk to the city center was easy. The room was very clean, staff was kind and helpful & generally the hotel was well-maintained. Note that the TV streaming services might not work - for us this was no problem since holidays are for other things besides watching Netflix, but if you’re different you might want to take your laptop or something. Bathroom is small indeed but nowhere near as dramatic as some of the reviews claim. Mega job for the cleaning crew, they definitely deserve a raise! Everything went well!

The location in the new part of the city is excellent and very close to the older core. It has excellent galleries, which are well known and frequented by local people. Otherwise, Antwerp is a beautiful and very manageable city. Accommodation comfortable, clean, extremely friendly and helpful staff. Despite the lack of the fridge, the staff will take care of anything small if you want to store it with them (medicines, yoghurt, etc). Breakfast is classic continental, you can find something for everyone, for a fee of 13,5 euros. If you like the quiet nights, there's no noise and you'll sleep calmly. The price of the accommodation is excellent in proportion to the facilities on offer, even the coffee is free. I didn't miss anything, so I highly recommend it!

I really loved staying at this hotel. The reception staff is lovely, they speak English very well and they're helpful. The breakfast choices were nice, the staff was working hard in order to keep the food topped up and also clean the tables/sitting areas. The hotel itself, inside and outside was very clean, its located in a very nice and central area as well. The room was a little bit small for the price I paid to be honest but it didn't ruin my experience at all! The beds were comfortable, the room was clean and had good facilities. They have this system that to help the environment, if you don't want your room to be cleaned every day, they will give you €5 voucher to spend in their bar/shop which I think is a brilliant idea. I liked everything in this hotel and I will definitely be back :)

The cleaners weren't too nice, never said hi and/or smiled back but at least they cleaned the room well so I appreciated that

We stayed there for 3 nights; there are no refrigerators & coffee machines in the room but you can have free coffee in the lobby. Room was clean but small so if you like to stay most of your time in the room, I do not recommend it. Number of the parking spots are limited so you need a bit of luck to find a spot; however the charging for electric vehicle was very convenient. Breakfast was not good in my opinion & we only had it once & it does not worth the price.There are a couple of supermarkets near the location which is very good & handy.Staff were polite & helpful & also fast in responding.

The location near Zuid part of Antwerp, is surrounded on oneside by the river and the other a nice green area, ideal for walking dogs. A 10 minute walk to the Zuid area (full of restaurants and cafes) and royal art gallery, as well as contemporary art gallery, 30 minutes on foot to the old centre along the riverfront. Also convenient tram stops nearby to get there quicker if needed as well as rental bikes nearby. The rooms were modern and clean, the welcome friendly and breakfast included cereals, fruit, bacon and scrambled eggs, cheeses and hams, and pancakes, juice and coffee, so was very reasonable. There was a possibility to purchase beers, some nibbles and soft drinks. It is more suited for quick overnight stays rather than long term. Very reasonable and good value for the price.

Not that i didn’t like, but the room is small and very compact at 12m2, so know your sleeping partner well! A bit small for 2 friends, unless you know each other well, but still OK for a short stay. There is a tiny desk, but not much place for storage.

My room was changed as I required an accessible bathroom. I eventually got this and was mire comfortable. The hotel made available beverage for when needed from the machine which makes things easier even though it's not in the room

They could change the connecting doors from the reception to automatic for ease of use by disabled users. I had to get someone to open the door for me everytime I need to go in and out which made it a bit stressful 😅

The building is brand new, clean with neat interiors. Staff was really kind and helpful, especially at explaining how to register our car in the low emission zone (the structure sent us also a reminder). The breakfast was exceptional with plenty of choice and good food. Although the location is rather far from the old town, there are trams and busses nearby

It's not possible to book their car park. At our arrival theirs was full and we were sent to another one close to the accommodation but if you're carrying a roof-box on your car, your car wouldn't fit in this one (2.20 max height). I had to park our car 1.2 kms away in a kind-of building site. They only have 2 toilets at the reception (one was out of order when I was there), thus queues are likely at pitch times.

The staff of the hotel is very nice. Although the hotel was almost fully booked they were very much available to help me and my partner changing rooms. We initially reserved a weelchair room by mistake and they changed us without a problem to another room. The hotel surrondings are really nice and within 10min by bycicle we are in the city center. I would definitly stay again.

The rooms are a bit too small and I would change the pillows. They were too high apart from that which is a personal opinion everything was great.

Location was perfect for us, price is really good, free tea/coffee anytime, big enough bed for two people, but the most important thing is like to highlight - cleaning was outstanding, honestly couldn’t compliment cleaning stuff enough, great job.

Probably just a personal preference - for me pillows were not good at all, had a slight headache every morning.
