Good continental selection. Bacon and eggs the only hot food available but very tasty. Great hot drinks machine. Great ambience - very chilled and staff friendly and willing to help

The wooden hangers aren't suitable for dresses - there were no indentations for straps. And there were no hangers with clips. The wooden bed frame has sharp edges. We ended up with bruised legs from bumping into it. Very weird that you can see into the shower from the bedroom. The sheer curtain covering the glass of the shower wasnt much use once the light was switched on in the bathroom.

I was in Linz taking my eldest son back to Johannes Kepler University accompanied with my youngest son. After dropping him off at the Uni, me and James stayed at the arte Hotel. I stayed before with my wife on a previous trip. It is in a convenient location to the University, the Old Town, and mostly the trams. It is also in a quiet street just off one of the main streets. Easy to walk to the tram . Easy to walk across the bridge to town. The room size was good, price okay. Toilet was separate to the shower - perfect. The shower was not particularly private (!); not an issue with me but was for my son. Hey-ho, we managed. Bed was comfortable.

All was fine with our stay.

- The hotel is well situated, not far from the city center and the Danube river banks. - The room was spacious and clean. - The dining space is very nice.

- It was a 4-star hotel, but there were no slippers. - Our room had a balcony, shared with other rooms (no separators). We missed the feeling of intimacy. - The breakfast had little variety. There was no care to refill empty trays and no fresh juice.

We had a pleasant stay in this Hotel. They spoke English well. Good price/value. Perfect location 10 minutes walk from the centre, nice rooms and an ideal breakfast. Luckily our room didn't have transparent bathroom walls as pictured. Toiletries, towels, hairdryer are provided. Breakfast is more than perfect with lots of quality options for every taste: cold cuts, cheese and for vegetarians as well, we couldn't try everything during our 3-day stay.

When we arrived (20 minutes before check-in time) we got our key to the room but it was not ready, so we had to go back to reception and wait until they cleaned it. The receptionists were arguing with each other in German we didn't fully understand, something about upgrading our room or letting us wait. In the end, they said, "Yes, we arrived before check-in time, so it's expected" in a mean tone. I found this unprofessional. On other days, the receptionists were helpful and friendly.

(DISCLAIMER: We are a mid-fifties couple from UK with both our sons at university - one in UK, one in Linz, Austria this year. Plus we love a Parkrun if possible) The 2nd time I'd been to Linz and 1st for my wife. Our eldest son is at the JK University here for the year. By some incredibly interesting planning by our son, we met him in Salzburg the previous day, then missed him in Linz as he'd gone off for the weekend with friends. Hey-ho! I wanted to show Linz to my wife. The hotel location was perfect as we were near the city centre - just the other side of the river. Plus, we were a km or so from the Linz Parkrun - a BIG Bonus as I'd run it on the previous trip. Plus we were right next to a tram stop to get to the University for a sight-seeing trip, etc. Bed great, location perfect, room was clean, shower was great, checkout time was perfect for us to do parkrun, return, shower then leave. We didn't have breakfast at the hotel; we found a nearby coffee-shop on the walk back to the main Linz train station.

The staff were outstanding, efficient, friendly and very helpful. Breakfast was lovely 😍 The decor is beautiful with lots of interesting features. Even the background music in the lobby was great. Clean rooms and very comfy bed.

The sharp corners of the bed was a problem- as the mattresse covered them it was easy to forget until you walked into one. Very painful It would have been nice to be able to make coffee in the room as I'm an early riser.

Some of the staff went out of their way to help. It seems to be the hot spot for politicians and artists, besides normal people. Very connected to Ars Electronica festival.

The cleaning staff seemed overwhelmed and understaffed. The staff seemed overworked. They need to hire more people. The people there are very hardworking but I saw them work 10 hour and more shifts.

Excellent stuff, delicious rich breakfast, they have their own parking which is very convenient. At night it's absolutely silent in the neighborhood. The room itself was stylish and well-equipped.

Nothing that was bad. It might be nice to add some additional staff to the room like kettle, complimentary tea/coffee bags and other small things.

I loved everything about the stay. It is very well located, near the principal square, the river (beach), museums, restaurants and places to visits. The design of the hotel is fantastic. Our room was comfortable and well equipped and the staff was nice and helpful.

Breakfast for 17 euros is too expensive.

Friendly, helpful professional staff, even the people who cleaned my room were lovely. Excellent choice of healthy eating options for breakfast. Good size comfy beds. As a group, we really enjoyed our stay here.
