Holiday Inn West Perth, an IHG Hotel

We arrived at night and were very well received. The hotel staff is very friendly and professional. The room is well equipped. The bed is comfortable and the atmosphere is very quiet. The hotel restaurant offers simple Italian cuisine; the food is very delicious, and the portions are simply huge, with very polite staff as well. We chose this hotel solely for its proximity to a particular location we needed to be near, but we do not regret our choice at all.

The windows in the room do not open, which would have been preferable. The quality of cleaning largely depends on the cleaner, but for us, it wasn't the main concern.

Hotel is located very conveniently from everything: multiple cat lines and buses. So it was very convenient to get by. The italian cafe breakfast, where you order a different dish, was nice. Staff, both cafe and hotel, was very friendly.

The back of the building faces a huge exhaust/condenser unit so there is a mechanical hum all the time, especially when the cafe is open. Some people could ignore the noise, but I couldn’t till checkout. The duvet cover smelled a bit at the edge on the first day and it lasted through our stay. They either didn’t change the duvet cover everyday when cleaning or there’s issue with laundry line? Wifi was very slow.

The room was basic but clean, there is no mini bar but the restaurant downstairs “Julio’s” is licensed and the food & dinner service was brilliant, the bed was super comfy, breakfast staff were definitely not as personable as the evening staff, in fact quite unwelcoming. The front desk staff on arrival and night staff were excellent.

Verbally advising there is a charge to use your card, putting on the form you sign when you first arrive is IMHO very deceptive and Bookings.com should also advise their customers.

The rooms were fitted out with everything I needed. the way of informing me to save for the environment was excellent . I have been staying in this hotel for 15 years and it is the best it has ever been. The staff were brilliant.

I can't think of anything other than please don't increase the price to a level that I won't be able to afford it. It has gone up a little each year and I wouldn't want to pay more than I did this trip, but I am prepared to pay what I did as the place is so comfortable.

We started our wedding trip around Australia from Perth and decided to stay in HolidayInn. It was great since beginning. In the room we found a little congratulations and it was so pretty! Wonderful service, friendly staff, clean and comfortable room, fast WiFi and silence, so you can sleep. The room has everything you need. If you need some more stuff, then reception will help you with pleasure. The hotel located within walking distance from center of the city. Also there is free CAT bus stop in 3 minutes. There are many cafes, and the cafe next to the hotel is open until late evening. We definitely recommend this hotel.

The location for our purposes was perfect. It’s easy to get into Perth city using regular and free bus services. The proximity to Kings Park is good. Very quiet neighbourhood at all times other than Hay Street which is always busy. Quiet room, spacious, well thought out. Good bathroom with walk in shower. Tea and coffee making facilities. Restaurant for breakfast and/or dinner. Very comfortable and large bed.

Only if you have a car you need to park on the street for free overnight or pay to park at a local car park.

The location was really good. It was in the quieter part of Perth. Easy street parking as well. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Check In was simple. The rooms are spacious, clean and have enough extras for the lower cost. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom is modern and clean.

The room doesn't offer much milk for tea/coffee and the nespresso machine wasn't completely working. They do need extras like shower caps, but they still have soap etc.

My favourite hotel of my stay in Australia. A lovely large and comfortable room, bed and shower. It was a quiet room which we loved. The breakfast was amazing and a real treat to have each morning. I am a coeliac and there was ample choice. I enjoyed that is was very slightly out of the city center as it was quieter and it the RedCat bus (free) was a couple of minutes walk away which meant that getting around was very easy and quick. I would 100% choose to stay here again if I ever visited Perth again.

The food was quite good for Italian style, however the the choice was rather limited, ok for 2-3 days but for a week it was rather average. Trouble is there is little in the way of surrounding places to eat, and no supermarkets to pick up some snacks around. Its the business / residential end of Hay St. The free City Cat Bus that is near by is very handy to get to the City areas
