The room was super clean! The facilities were adequate. The location was excellent. The bed was great! I vacillated in leaving a positive review in view of the negative experience (see below) which, through no one's, fault impacted our experience. The fact that we ultimately received an understanding response from the manager as well as a complete refund went some way towards changing my review from 3 to 8.

There was an airconditioner leak overnight that flooded the bathroom and we were rained on during the night whenever we went to the bathroom. The staff were sympathetic but were unable to give us an alternative room as they were booked out. The morning staff were less than sympathetic.

Room is OK - larger than average and OK appointments.

Missing most of the features you would expect from a hotel in this location.

Everything. The place is centrally located - close to cafes, restaurants, shops, public transport and tourist attractions. The room has everything I need for a long stay - a big comfy bed, a desk, strong wifi, well-equiped kitchen, AC, hot water and a laundrette. There is daily housekeeping. Staff were friendly and thoughtful. I felt really comfortable and welcomed.

I understand the property is trying to be sustainable and offers guests the option to not have our towels washed and replaced every day. I was totally supportive of this but I was given new towels anyway even though I followed the instructions and hung my towels up so they wouldn't be replaced. It's nice to have fresh towels every day but I just want to be supportive of sustainable practices.

I was in Perth for work and so needed a proper desk where I could spend extended time writing. I chose Citadines St George's Terrace because of the sizeable, well-lit desks in the rooms and was very pleased. Will definitely choose Citadines again for business travel. I didn't end up using the business centre printing facilities because it wasn't self-serve – you had to email files to an address – but there is an Officeworks with printers and copiers very close by (5 mins walk). I was also pleased that it was very quiet and the location was convenient overall.

The wardrobe doors in my room were mirrored, but because they faced a hallway rather than the open room, there was no way of standing back and seeing yourself full length when dressing. It would be good if the mirrors could extend to the adjacent wall that's open to the main room, or if a full-length mirror could be mounted somewhere else where there's room to stand back in front of it.

Modern hotel with large rooms. I stayed in the executive studio, which was very generous in size. The bed & pillows were comfortable. The kitchenette had all the basics, including a bar fridge, cooktop, kettle, crockery & cutlery. The bathroom was big with a shower over the bathtub. Large windows with heavy blackout curtains (needed) and decent aircon. The location was fine, midway between Perth & Elizabeth Quay stations. Easy walk to most city attractions.

The bathroom had an air extractor working 24/7 .. part of the hotels airflow system (I assume). I really found this noise to be unsettling, even with the bathroom door shut. The views from the hotel room windows are bleak and uninspiring. My view was to the back of another hotel. The teeny tiny milk containers & the tiny bathroom products .. such a waste of plastics.

Location was good; within walking distance to public transport and city attractions. Bed was the most comfortable of all the 6 accommodations we tried in Western Australia. Separate toilet cubicle within the bathroom was a plus. Room was overall clean. Staff were all very helpful and sweet.

You will get the occasional sound of fast cars zooming by during weekend nights. It’s not really within the control of Citadines. Limited shelving to put toiletries in the shower; only a soap bar holder. No hand towel holder either. Kitchen was overall sufficient except it was lacking dish detergent.

Have to say that the staff on reception were really good. Fair sized room, comfortable bed. Hotel is located in the CBD so easy access to public transport, both buses, trains and the ferry to Fremantle and Rottnest Island. Many restaurants and bars are close. Easy route to and from the airport.

The room was a little tired, needs updating. Strange setup with bedside lights, the switch on the right operates the light on the left, and vice versa. Mentioned it to the staff and apparently it is designed that way, WIERD.

Staff were great & very helpful. Was really useful to have kitchenette facilities. Security was excellent & gave assurance of your safety. Useful also to have access to laundry facilities. Hotel was in an excellent position making access to anywhere in Perth quite easy. Was a really comfortable, safe place to stay.

The hotel tried to take payment ahead of the time it was due on my second visit. They also make an additional charge for using a card to pay and don't inform you that they are doing so, so you are charged more than you expect. This is not appreciated and something I've never experienced before.

Location and friendly staff. Nearby restaurants Size of apartment

The mattress protector cover had terrible, old stains on it. Looked like dry blood. Only saw this on our last day, when my wife took the sheets from the bed. Also, the fabric chair had dirty white stains on it. The cupboard mirrors had handprints on them. It is evident this apartment was not cleaned and checked, properly by the cleaning manager. There was also a knife on the floor outside the lift on our floor. Was there the whole weekend. The staff were wonderful. Sad that the cleanliness let them down. It left a bad taste in my mouth, realizing that we slept on that filthy mattress protector.
