Middle Park Hotel

We are repeat visitors from East Gippsland. The location provides excellent public transport links, the light rail stop is across the road. It is our favourite for 2 or 3 day visits to Melbourne. We park for free with plenty of street parking close by, forget the car and use public transport. In house food is excellent. Great Indian restaurant and Cafe 20 metres away. Love Middle Park. TV upgraded. Great shower. Rooms clean and comfortable. Good and friendly staff.

Rooms are small, no lift, but we know that. Don't spend much time in rooms.

Love staying in places with character and this place definitely has character. The staff was super friendly. We even got drink vouchers for the bar. The location is perfect as it right next to a tram station which brings you right in the city or to St. Kilda beach. The room was spacious and the bathroom very clean. Shower was good too. Free Nescafe espresso and a good tea sortiment. Happy to come back and most likly will next year.

I think the air-conditioning was a bit noisy or some noise came from somewhere else.

Great pub in a terrific location, with a tram stop right across Canterbury Road, so it's very easy to get to and very easy to catch public transport from the hotel to St Kilda or the city. The actual pub itself was really good too! Good food and a beautiful bar and dining room inside and plenty of outdoor drinking/dining tables and chairs on the street front. The room on level two was well above the actual pub, so there was absolutely no noise from the bar down below. There's plenty of food and cafe options within a stone's throw of the pub and the beach is a 5 minute walk away. Perfect!

Our room was a little 'tired'. A few things not maintained properly, the freezer in the fridge had not been defrosted for a million years.

We were able to upgrade to the king suite - highly recommend spending the extra. The room is fabulous (in a funky old world hotel kind of way). Location is perfect - across the road from tram station, restaurant and cafe is the street, 5 mins drive to city, walking (long) distance to St Kilda. Pub downstairs had great food, was not noisy in the room from pub music (we were on second floor). Staff were amazing - very accommodating to all our requests. Walking distance to Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre and Albert Park - great location for events.

For one night extra, we moved to a queen room - comfortable and clean, but very small.

Location is excellent. Staff very friendly and accomodating. Room was very nice. This is an excellent, charming property. I am capable but the one issue one might have is the lack of a lift. It would be very difficult for older folks to lug their luggage up two flights. The location likely could not be better. It is steps from the light rail... five stops to downtown. Albert Park is acroos the street.

Only stayed one night but our accomodation was excellent. Staff were more than accomodating and friendly, especially the receptionist. Great atmosphere in the pub and my favourite Guinness was on tap, a bonus for me. There are lots of areas to relax in and even an open fireplace which is nice on a winters day. The dining area was large and we enjoyed our meals.

We couldn't find the remote for the split system air conditioner but as we were there only one night we didn't get around to mentioning it to staff.

Hospitality was superb; very warm and welcoming. I'd arrived in Melbourne much earlier than expected, yet they were able to organise for an early check-in at very short notice. Check-in and checkout were a breeze. Room was well-presented (boutique in style) and bathroom facilities were great for the two nights booked. Proximity to Middle Park Tram Stop was excellent for commuting, and there are also some great cafés nearby. Would book again.

There is significant sound leakage between rooms and floors – entire conversations can be heard, and fairly clearly, too. Wasn't too much of a bother, personally, but something to note.

Always stay here due to proximity to Lakeside stadium & the luxury of ordering dinner up to the room after a long day competing.

I’ve stayed here about 4 or 5 times & each time I’ve stayed I’ve been put in a smaller & smaller room! The first stay we had a fantastic spacious room with a small seating area in the room but this last time there was barely room to walk around the bed!

Location is excellent. Transport links to South Melbourne market, CBD, St Kilda are very convenient (light rail stop is across the road). Beach and Albert Park a short walk away. Local shops adjacent to hotel offer choices. Staff service is consistently good and friendly. This is our 2nd visit. We will visit again.

Rooms could be better but very adequate for shortish stays. No lift. No a problem yet for us.

Good location good vibes. Got the pub right on your door step, some cute shops in the surrounds, not a far walk or drive from the pier or beach or Luna Park for example nor a far drive from the city

Everything was absolutely sensational. If I had to pick something, it’d only be that when you did a full roll over in bed, the slats or the wooden bottom of the bed made a knocking noise, but it didn’t bother or take away from the stay
